2.1: (Much) better FPS in both NTTR and Normandy
nachomaga replied to Bearfoot's topic in Virtual Reality
I never heard too, it seems an unofficial tweaking tool made by a guy called Apollyon for VR. I'll check it out... https://www.google.es/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/5okoju/oculus_tray_tool/ -
Same low performance here, 4790k at 4.7ghz and 980ti. Was good in 2.0. Struggling with settings, like the old days with FSX, hehe. Ill try the Scooternutz settings.

You make me laugh! :megalol: But I know it was not funny for you, hehe
-
Thx for the work! as you said very interesting. Another topic is, if I remember well, the different band modes the jammer have. Not sure if they implemented in the game yet.
-
Perhaps stupid question, but do you press the reference button while in the runway? I fly in Acrobatic Online server and HSI works for me if I do that.
-
Yep, the colors seems to be little off. Strange because the Air Musseum ask for advice to Flygvapenmuseum in Linköping. They provived some stencils too. This is the article, in spanish: http://www.defensa.com/espana/nueva-vida-cazabombardero-sueco-viggen-museo-aeronautica

It seems they updated the trim speed in the last update, but doesn't appear in the changelog.

To my surprise we have in Spain a AJS37 in Cuatro Vientos Air Museum! The Swedish air force donate the plane in 1999 and it was repainted last year (too shinny, but I think is for better conservation). Its amazing to see that plane so close. As Mike said is going to be weird to pick the controller and them the HOTAS again, but yes, is promising.

Today I fly with TrackIR again and the trim is like other modules. In VR is still very slow. I know is been discussed before, any plan to fix it? Anyway, very nice module :) Edit: Ooops, can the admin move to the Viggen section? Thx!
-
I know is personal, but tradicional mouse works better for me too. I put at the right of my joystick (X55) and dont have to search for it. I add at the left of the throttle a gaming keypad that I mapped for Function keys and comm. Again, I dont have to search that F key when I'm in combat. Is a Razer Tartarus.

Thanks for the good work, Chuck!

Sorry if that been covered before. Until next Viggen update, I prefer to remove all the vortices in the game. I only test with Viggen, not sure about the other planes, but should work. There is two textures in the game: DCS World/Bazar/Effects/ParticleSystem2 wingtipContrail.bmp wingtipContrail2.bmp If you fill the two .bmp with black with an image editor (Pixlr, for example), the texture become invisible. Allways backup your files in case you miss your vortices.

Yep, trim is very slow. Strange thing, most of the time I fly in VR (Rift), but today I fly with TrackIR again and the trim is quick and responsive. Not sure why, perhaps the resolution?

If you have not seen this you will LOL at it
nachomaga replied to andysim's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Amazing, I didnt see it before. Its like a bad 80s movie, hahaha..... But the pilot is real, I think is the guy who appears in other Kamov official videos. Well, like Ethereal, I´m curious. Anyone knows what is this vid? Is a TV serie? Is another crazy promotional video?. Thx! -
In case of a big system crash, format and reinstall system... what files do I have to backup to move again in a future Black Shark folder? No problems with my system yet, but I want to backup some files (HOTAS config, game settings, and Campaign progress). Thanks in advance! :)

Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel
nachomaga replied to rviii's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It seems the problem is the Saitek controller only connects with FSX part of sofware (or FS9 with special app). Don´t see any other software. But your idea sounds very good :) -

Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel
nachomaga replied to rviii's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Any news of Pro Flight Switch Panel working with Black Shark? Thanks! -
Yep, recon is important. But when I´m in trouble with SAMs, I switch extrenal view, always looking at SAM , them I go down, and do some zig-zag, changing my course all the time (ok, you´ve got to be at medium altitude to doing this). It works for me (well, I crashed sometimes, hehehe).
-
And the "go through" trees, that hide your enemies but dont hide your Black Shark. Oh, and multimonitor in Vista! Its seems like a wish list, hehehe....
-
I voted Tanks. But a lot of times I crashed trying to evade SAMs. Thats the SAM? or the pilot? Lol... the other day, in middle of Georgian Oil War Campaign, I take off, turn to the first waypoint and crashed doing some strange maneuver. In 30s! hahaha...... So I´m agree with the others, the first threat is the pilot.
-
Hahaha, That´s very, very, very, true :) Perhaps its my "Basic" version of Vista (limited RAM, no Aero, etc...) sometimes I don´t difference from XP, hehehe. Anyway, I´ll try to remember if I have problems with other games. Thx
-
Vista 64 and GTX280 SLI here, and have no signifficant benefits. I tried a couple days ago the SLI AA and well, the game run with no difference. Anyway, this game is very CPU dependant. I have Vista 64 Basic and had installed in Program Files (x86) with no problems (I purchase the english DCS direct download version), is it wrong? Oh, I have UAC off.

Vista64 "BS not Working" after ESC at mission end
nachomaga replied to NismoRR's topic in Bugs and Problems
Vista 64 Basic here and no problem at all. Only once, at the end of a mission an error message appears (No DVD in E:, or something like that). Maybe obvious, but have you check UAC settings?
