Thanks, one Q regarding Huey controls; there are 4 differently addressable control set ups; UH_1H GAME and UH-1H SIM f.i, what's the difference?
-
thanks for all the tips ... my main reason for getting DCS was the choppers, and never realized controlling them buggers was so different, but of course it is, and DCS did a great job at implementing them the way they did. BTW my landings get better and better, no fire this time:

Warthog profiles for Huey and Gazelle choppers, Non-TARGET
jackd replied to jackd's topic in General Tutorials
Well, i have a slew button mod from Deltasim Electronics that works quite well. At least wit all other planes, and sims. But i am new to choppers, and in deed a noob batman. However bats are far better flyers than most people realize ... In DCS i am just a drunken bat for now .. -
Warthog profiles for Huey and Gazelle choppers, Non-TARGET
jackd replied to jackd's topic in General Tutorials
sorry: ADDED: your profile works quite better than mine, only needs some rudder trimming it seems for my throttle, as i have to push the slew axis set for rudder almost full left all the time. (i don't have pedals BTW. -

i have my savings here: F:\- GAMES\DCS settings and profiles. This as i want to keep my C:\ boot as empty as possible ... there's no saved games there, nor in Documents or My Games .. -
Warthog profiles for Huey and Gazelle choppers, Non-TARGET
jackd replied to jackd's topic in General Tutorials
Thanks. I emptied my (specially elsewhere located than default) profiles folder, but all the different planes are still present. Where are these coming from? PS i am new to DCS LoL. -
Warthog profiles for Huey and Gazelle choppers, Non-TARGET

Anyone been trying to get proper profiles for a Warthog throttle+joysick set? I get sort of stuck how to combine fuel (Gazelle) and engine power to my throttle unit, and with the huey i keep loosing the rotor blades LoL. -
Speed Bar for airspeed, compass, height, time scale ?
jackd replied to jackd's topic in New User Briefing Room

Speed Bar for airspeed, compass, height, time scale ?
jackd replied to jackd's topic in New User Briefing Room
Nope, you were right. I had no Experience running, and it was deinstalled. So i deleted all NVDIA dstuff with DDU (3rd party tool). The FPS was still there, without any GPU drivers however. Then reinstalled the NVDIA plus Geoforce Experience (IMO just shitty spyware). Then i disabled overlay, and de-installed Experience with Control panel. ! GONE ! -

nope, but i'll check, just installed new drivers BTW and left it out. Maybe i need a clean install for NVDIA. -

Thrustmaster Warthog Joystick dead
jackd replied to StElmosFire's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
Mine had 2 single threaded wires broken, because these are moving too much, now repaired. IMO a serious design flaw, they should use multi threaded core flat cable. You can also order the wires from thrustmaster, some $10 including shipping. but you need to solder them in. -
True, but as DCS noob i am still fighting the controller lay outing for various planes for my warthog system without pedals, as i am used to IL2 sturmovik GB, and DCS defaults totally different. Like i want to set certain things up for all planes at once which seems impossible: Example keyboard G for gear toggle, F4 for arcade chase view, instead of the default ShiftL-F4. Assign Flaps and Autopilot to my Throttle unit that's marked there as such. There's also an APU button which might be handy if you can address several engine start functions at once even.

What brand kind of hardware do you use, i am still fighting the controller lay outing for various planes for my warthog system without pedals. I only see 2 items, no fuel lever IIRC, but 'fuel lever flow forward' and 'fuel lever flow backward'... but i found an axis for 'fuel flow lever'

What’s the best tutorial on the mission editor
jackd replied to BlacleyCole's topic in Mission Editor Tutorials
Is there a PDF somewhere? -
I really appreciate the efforts of making instructional videos, thanks and compliments etc. But is there a PDF manual somewhere? Video manuals are IMO very time consuming, and if you only need one little information piece, a drag to find it. Making a good PDF is a lot of work, but i would be willing to pay for it ... you can put that on a kneeboard tablet too LoL.
