just found this, https://www.openflightschool.de/mod/book/view.php?id=866&chapterid=1149 as i got stuck on opening modelviewer2.0.exe: Guess i have to do some Notepad++ editing first .. Alas my autoexec.lua file in "F:\- GAMES 2\DCS World OpenBeta" looks totally different than the one on the above link. Now i am getting this, would love to get that in the game: ADDED: first tester, adapted camouflage, and swastickle for your fancy:

Pity, i just discovered it, it's great though sometimes weird even. My first 'mission', UPDATED: WWII CA Willie in London v5.zip PS Just saw some parked vehicles, above mission, but i only met Busses, Taxis and a Lorry or 2 ... these vehicles wont move?:
-
I looked at Model viewer, guess i must check out how it works ... got the EDM file to load, not my created DDS file yet.
-
So i adapted/made my first skin, in this case for a Bf109k4. Now where should i place it, and how do you load it into the game fast and simple for testing?
-
Rubber mat, eventually glue it on a wooden board?
-
done, thnx

My first attempt in the mission editor, place the attached file here for a Willys sight seeing trip through London WW2 in a nice summers atmosphere.: ......... \DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\tech\WWII Units\Missions\CombinedArms\Single Be warned, you'll be overrun by trucks, busses, even on park footpaths, and halfway 'cross bridges your Willys will submerge, but it's fun. You'll need Normandy 2.0, WW2 Assets Pack, and Combined arms, and if you're an experienced ME expert, please add to this mission. Use the mouse to view the progress of Willie in London. UPDATED version: WWII CA Willie in London v4.zip The trick is start the mission, pause and press F10, then set this at the top bar on the map : Then press F7 'till you get this view: Tune your driving controllers, i have left/right and engine power set to 2 Axis' on my Warthog throttle, accelerator pedal RZ reversed, and tune Left/Right curvature to 59 BTW, and gear shifting to buttons to select forward and reverse.

With the Christen Eagle TRIM_HAT Nose UP or Down trim does not work in Flight Control Options; Game Flight Mode is off. OpebBeta v 2.8.4.39731

so that's in gunner view i guess .. ADDED i got vehicle controls to work; tip (maybe): don't setup pedals for anything, it confuses vehicle input settings it seems.
-
Call me stupid, but where do i find this 'tracking mode'. Seems not in any options as being selectable.. I see the tank in a compass circle displayed in the upper right corner, is it active then?
-
Thnx all, it becomes more interesting to me, almost gave it up LoL.
-
in CA general options there's a Automatic Transmission activation setting. T (for Trouble) supposed to be Cruise Control? C for autopilot does nothing, although it shows in the left low corner of my monitor screen on play mode.

I am a bit used to TC (IL2). Was planning on doing some road running on the Normandy 2.0 map, as tourist. AA would be a great help here, i tried getting my throttle the way i am used to in IL2 Tank Crew ... PS although my warthog set seems present on the Controllers page for CA they don't seem to work. Only some Keyboard commands do, and i got the gun to move with my joystick, but nothing engine power related with either keys or Throttle. Is this typical for DCS; selling unfinished business?
-
I am able to aim and shoot the gun now, figuring out how to get it moving
-
Now 10 years later LoL. Set and adapted some button and keys and axis controllers to get the DAC (?) tank moving. Nothing happens, nothing moves ... even the engine won't start. Any tips how to get it going? Pressing pause, movement starts, but then an error message Unable to enter vehicle: vehicle control is not available

general autopilot or autolevel for the spitfire
jackd replied to jackd's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Just found that Game flight mode should be off in general options, and you need to also retune axis curvature up to 40 . But still the spit tends to roll to the left. A p51 is much easier to tune BTW -
solved Rudder and Elevater trim not working ... partly FIXED!

Art_J posted: switch off Game Flight Mode in general Options. In my Warthog/Saitek setup i needed to tune the combo axis set with some curvature around 40 and dead-zone of about 5. With the Christen Eagle TRIM_HAT Nose UP or Down trim does not work in Flight Control Options; Game Flight Mode is off. ADDED Tuning the Spitfire and P47 is still not easy, P51 is f.i. so i think i'll turn game flight mode on again.- 1 reply

Rudder and Elevator trimming not working? - FIXED!
jackd replied to jackd's topic in Bugs and Problems
You are right, the axis needs tuning now, and i appear less drunk ... just tuned the Spitfire a wee bit .... Thanks for the tip. -
So i'll vote for Game Flight Mode only then ... i thought politics here were not allowed?
