  1. Thnx, CE2 in flight control Trim HAT- NOSE DOWN, and NOSE UP set to to RCntrl - L UP and RCntrl+ DOWN, the only ones. i found For the spit the only ones, and in cockpit view the two trim wheels at the left move OK, but the spit does nor react it weems: ------------------- Saitek and worn pots could be, i got it given and and is probably is about 15 years old ..
  2. Now landing it is not too hard for me, had practiced a lot in IL2, but where and how do you stop the engine of the DCS Spit? All those control options drive me nutz ...
  3. and now 2.8 even ..
  4. this was a p51 .. et in title now.
  5. Others don't seem to have this problem, but with most planes i cannot trim rudder and elevator, or nothch trim them. Windows 10 x64 enterprise (LTSC), latest updates. Besides with the CE2 the rudder seems not working properly at all, only very jumpy and even pushed left or right it jumps back to neutral immediately. In controls/special simplify rudder on or off makes no difference. Just installed a Saitek Pedal system, same behavior. other post thread about this:
  6. I keep saying this: Often USB problems exist due too many present non active redundant drivers. USE USBdeview!
  7. well, cannot get rudder and elevator trim to work still, really beats me. With the CE2 the rudder seems not working properly at all, very jumpy and even pushed left or right it jumps back to neutral immediately. In Controls/special simplify rudder on or off makes no difference. Just installed a Saitek Pedal system, same behavior. (posted in bugs too)
  8. Well, after a few tips from y'all, thanks BTW, and a lot of experimenting i can get the thing called Huey up in the air, and also even land it with my Warthog set. But i am stuck at setting the engine and moving controls right for flying forward (and backwards) at a decent speed. Any ideas? I set the Warthogs throttle axis to the above collective, and the Warthog slider to the throttle function.
  9. thanks for your Huey lua scripts, will try them out ASAP, regs J

  10. That helped, got off the ground alright:
  11. Hi; has any one has some tips what to set for controlling a Huey or other choppers for a Warthog set, , if you don't have a Collective hardware stick? I feel like riding this:
  12. Now tried, NADA, autorudder on or off. Axis nor keyboard Does not work, and now i begin to think it has to do with my windows version and or keyboard vs axis; i have Win10 x64 LTSC (Enterprise). Some restrictions vs games. Like in the office gaming is not allowed LoL. Added: I installed DCS on a windows 11 pro sytem ... alas the same .. Some thinking out loud: where are the controller lua scripts stored normally? I use to save them in a separate folder besides my DCS installation, as they all have extensive editing done.. The game loads and save them there OK, but i also found SOME input related lua stuff (with no .dff in the extension so general?) in a user config folder on my boot drive, with a general name and ID number (some warthog related) named per plane and divided under sub folders names joystick, keyboard, mouse and trackir. Looked at them and it looks like they contain only SOME changes of my edited versions i saved elsewhere. Funny thing is that the helicopters i bought 2 years ago are not present there. They are active in the game. And then they appeared automatically after i started a default mission with the UH1H ...
  13. I tried that, nada. Guess i need better hardware with more buttons than a Warthog set has to offer .. don't need trimming that often. Can it be that it's a general bug in DCS? Related to windows settings and keyboards?
  14. yes they are, but especially some planes i hate that cockpit view taking up most of my screen, and switch it off with Alt-F1.
  15. Been messing around with it, and now bought the license in the sale. Still it seems the trim functions do not work as with some other planes it seems. Can it be that you need to turnoff autorudder for trimming?
  16. Any update coming? I tried it, looks interesting, but complicated ..
  17. Just loaded the B17 template in photoshop .. all info on the layers is in Russianspeak LoL
  18. Thnx, so no 3rd party stuff, i found these a while back, but miss a few regarding ww2 planes. Regarding the default skins, where do you choose them, only within the .miz files in the editor, and where's their location?
  19. Y'all made i couldn't resist, tried the A8 again and bought it ..
  20. Thanks all, will check it out ..
  21. Thnx, Acer Predator 3840x2160 with a 3080ti Aorus NVDIA card. BTW it's only the game's view in perspective i was talking about, not the general size.
  22. There's no liveries folder in my Saved games\ DCS.OpenBeta folder. 1) i'd like to change that awful Miami Beach parasol look of some default Christen Eagle, and found skins in ... \DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\Textures. but what's it called there if it's there anyway. Not CE2. Neither in ....\DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\Liveries neither? The name of it, what should i look for, not CE2 it seems. 2) BTW the general Saved Games folder, can you put it somewhere else? Too many windows crashes later in don't trust that location LoL. 3) It seems all skins are 2k, not 4k as with IL2 ... ? 4) is there any site location where you can find Photoshop templates for skinning with DCS?
  23. Yep found that too. But i meant the unnatural looks of my flying neighbors on a high res monitor. I adapted slow zoom in-out to two button on my Warthog joystick, the slider on my throttle i prefer for something else as axis for mixture etc. What i meant: In IL2 other planes look normal in lenghth and not 'over stretched' as in DCS. Probably DCS is meant for normal scaled monitors only, and that resolution adapted only to keep high res owners happy. Hopefully a fix in v 3.0.00 when it comes?
  24. I found that in IL2 with the FW190a3, but the a8 hard to handle in DCS; the Dora i prefer for DCS.
