Adding ILS to East German Airbases for Modern Scenarios
skywalker22 replied to JG78_horΛz's topic in Wish List
Thats the most you can do atm unfortunatelly. Just put the ILS lines at the end of the beacon.lua file, and send the file to others. Don't forget to make a backup copy of the original file copy as well. Modifying that file will surely break IC in most of the other servers, but you can set your own server up without the IC. It's not a hard task to do. -
Here it is all explained.

If anyone has any publicly available conents

@RogueSpecterGaming I'm wondering, and since you know from 1st hand how this goes IRL, how othen do they jettison external fuel tanks, if ever? Specially now days when there is practically no dog fights any more.
-
Maybe also an HPRF mode maybe one day? I know its not entirely F-16 thing, but still.
-
If I recall, the min left fuel in tank in 1400 lbs to be able to refuel to max possible (quantity depends on number of external tanks). If you have lets say 1500 lbs left, you will be missing 100 lbs of fuel after refueling.

There IS a standard in F-16, it's for: - multiple-step switches/knows right click is up, left click is down - 0-1 switches is which ever click (left or right) - rollers (potentiometes), left mouse button hold and move the mouse forward (for up), backward (for down) -- As said, the only one that buzes me, is the probe heat/test, it just doesn't work that way.
-
All normal, with hours you get used to it, it becomes a muscle memory, for any plane. F-16 goes one way, Mig-21 the other, for example I agree it could be more standardized, but this is how it is. I also wanted to do some changes on F-16, but nothing has been heard so far (it was for probe heat & test swith, which clicks strangly, not f-16 standard).

HUD display bug since release 2.9.18.12722
skywalker22 replied to grim_reaper68's topic in Bugs and Problems
There is nothing wrong with the plane or DCS's code. Mine is fine, there are no spaces in the horizontal lines for the speed, elevation, letters, numbers and some other simbology. FIX; check your game by removing any mod, do the repair thing of the game. My HUD as of today: -
Dogfight Mode: Boresight Range – Is It 10nm or 20nm?
skywalker22 replied to Skyracer's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Wtih radar on, currently it can pick up targets to 40nm! I dont' know if this is correct. But it surely does. a2a_acm_boresight_mode_issue.miz -
Mover's words 8 months ago on this topic.
-
This can cause the IC to break in multiplayer, but if you aren't flying in MP, then there is no issue.
-
I fly F-16 for over 4 years and I think there is no any significal change (if any at all) regaridng take off and landing. I do always the same, and plane does always the same as well. Don't know where you guys come up with this "bug" now really. If you do it "by the book" there is no problem what so ever, and as I said, its the same for years.
-
Really depends on many factors as @RogueSpecterGaming already explained them. And how aggressive you are with the stick back. This one for example seems pretty much the same as in DCS. Although I also have the feeling (I repeat its my feeling) that the quite hard that the F-16 gets off the ground, its just about that 1st moment when the frong gear tries to peel off. After that moment its all fine. But maybe thats the effect which @RogueSpecterGaming explained, its about the ground effect which "sucks" the plane to the ground, and before the aerodymanics come into effect. Would be cool to ask someone like Mover, the RL pilot of F-16, and hear what he has to say about it.

Recomendation for New Monitor for DCS
skywalker22 replied to kmaultsby's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
ASUS ROG Strix XG32AQ. I would strongly recommend flat monitor, at least up to this width. I had curved one before, and I will never ever buy another one again. Odd feeling when looking into a curved, all seems out of phase, if you know what I mean. Btw, I bought ASUS ROG Swift PG329Q 2yrs ago, and I love it! -
Indeed this airport deserves to be part of this amazing map. @MAESTR0 what do you say?
-
It has for over 10yrs in DCS.
-
I'm not at home, so haven't tried the new updated Corsair's flight model. Are there any noticeable differences? Here is a thread of the new FM.

VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle really has that bad buttons?
skywalker22 replied to skywalker22's topic in VIRPIL Controls
I had bought it back then, and also had sold it in a couple of months. I haven't like it at all. I'm back to my old TWCS, works like charm for 6 yrs now. I was thinking of maybe buying VKB's STACS, but I think I don't really need it. -
How do you fail to align? Show us your track please. Because I never fail to align hmcs.

This map caused a brain blockage in me
skywalker22 replied to Rifter's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
The devs should create some damn good dynamic campaigns for single player and mulitplayer, based on RL events. Then this map would come to life. Maybe even WWII events, would be aweosme. -
Can I ask here, does the F-16C have self sealing fuel tanks? Its ineed very odd that each time of getting hit by something, fuel starts to leak. Even if it doesn't have self sealing fuel tank, its odd.
-
After landing you shut down the plane, and if you don't move it before next take off, a Stored heading alignment will do it (no need of a normal alignment).

In FC3 tire pop up is modeled pretty accurately. Tires start to pop up after passing 200 kts. It also depends on the total weight, clean can take much more speed before tires pop up. Also not, Mig-29 accelerates pretty fast, and you are at 200 kts in almost no time. Mig-29 take off speed is bettween 150 and 160 kts! Remember that.

Would it be possible to make the Direction Finder antenna which is right behind the cockpit a bit more round? It looks so strange to look at those edges everytime l ook behind. Now it is made out of 20 pieces, would be cool to tripple it (or even more), so it would look like its round.
