Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing. The Swordfish is a big aircraft, I had not realised that until I got a chance to see it close up at Yeovil Airbase a few years ago. I am now retired and it is at momments like this that I miss my job, getting access to the flight line was one of the big perks of it. Sigh!

I did at Leuchars back in the late 80s early 90s, still got a cap badge from him too :) Also got a go in the Lightning cockpit and a F4 Phantom, then after many years of trying, finaly in the Tornado sim :D

I guess you missed the wink at the end :smilewink: :D

+1 more for the V bombers, been a while but I was in a Vulcan back in the 90s, one that had done the round trip to Port Stanley. Valiant - The first British aircraft to drop an atomic bomb Victor - refueled the Vulcan on it's way to the Falklands Vulcan - Completed the longest bombing run in history UK to Falklands and back Oh and of course we need that little interceptor to go with them - The Lightning ;)

U2 would be nice:thumbup: Deep Breath ... and a English Electric Lightning so we can itercept it:pilotfly:

Going through my pics for the F104 I came across these from the NATO Tiger Meet 2009 at KB airbase Belgium.

My grandson endorses this request the F4U is his favorite :pilotfly:

Also for me game mode is great for the grandson to have fun with, at <2yo learning all the controls of A10C / P51D is quite taxing for him ;)

Intresting, I lived close to a diversion airfield so we got a lot of aircraft doing touch and goes, and on the last day of the Buccaneer we got treated to an inpromptu aerobatic display from a Bucc out over the bay. Nimrod was the most common aircraft that visited over the years, but back in the 70s they used to fly Phantoms up and at the time I worked for a recording studio at the "Wick Airport Industrial Estate" we were recording a band from Aberdeen when an F4 went verticlal and full afterburner and rattled our recording session right out the door, not to say the engineer was mad! :) My late uncle was a marine achitect too, and, not all of his work stayed on the surface ;)

Hope you had a good one Nate! Well it will have to do for mine too, until we get a Frightning :)

Another vote for the Frightning and a Avro Vulcan to go with it :)

Looks nice but unable to download anything, keep getting a "Slow Down! You are trying to download files too quickly. You must wait 28 seconds before you may download another file." and I have not downloaded anything at all, sigh!

Nope don't like the F111. It was part of the reason that the TSR2 got cancelled. Been disliking it ever since. ;)

That is engine generated smoke, not "popping smoke" from the smoke grenade launchers. Here is an M1 popping smoke with views through the Thermal Imager

What do you think about P-51D and Flying Legends?

I knw a certain young lad that would be very happy with a F4U:D -
Woot! It works! Beta2 Nevada was still there in my install :D Thanks SmokeyTheLung

Well I gave up working for a living a few years ago, got rid of the job and kept the wife, never had so little free time to sit down and play on the PC since! But really enjoying the early retirement :D

1. Ground Commander role and JTAC role are different, so it should be safe to have player-controlled JTAC at the very least. 2. The Ground Commander role you're concerned about can be limited to a number of players, but not to specific players. There can probably be many ground commanders. 3. "The ability to set ground command roles" could mean, albeit with less certainty, that the Ground Commander roles can be set to have command over specific forces, rather than all ground commanders sharing absolute control over all forces. Worst case scenario: write your mission with no ground commanders allowed, just some JTAC player slots. Seems very unlikely: the ability to lock roles to particular players by ID or password. You can't lock aircraft slots that way, after all. You probably won't want to have public server missions with ground commander slots where those slots have control over a large number of troops or control over mission-critical troops. Instead I would plan, at least for now, to give ground commanders control over platoon-sized forces or smaller. It seems a good idea to make sure those troops are supplementary to the action, rather than integral to it, if you're planning for an open game where players can come and go. The highlighted line is of concern with people able to observe all sides that opens up a can of worms for unsportsman like conduct. A "Gods Eye" on the battlefield can eliminate that fog of war and uncertainty of enemy positions. Useful in the mission editor part, but not for gameplay please.

Neither was Las Vegas ;)

Personaly I would like either or both of the F14 Bombcat and the Tornado. Played a lot of Fleet Defender and Tornado and still have both boxed in the cellar :) I have got Tornado to run via Dosbox but it usually crashes halfway through the first mission ... and no I wasn't flying too low ;)

You have been watching too much Star Trek :music_whistling:

Yesterday I sat down and decided to have a look at the Flying Legends DVD trailer and my 18month old grandson wanted to see Bumba on youtube so I told hime he would have to wait and he could see his Bumba after I had seen the aeroplanes. Well he watched the video of FLying Legends with me and it was all Ooohs and Aaahs and when I went to put on Bumba he protested and kicked up a fuss until I put on more aircraft. He giggled and pointed at the screen and made noises imitating the aircraft and he was just as enthuised by the cockpit shots as the external views. I did notice that he was slightly more thrilled by radial engined aircraft than in-line or V engined, when the Corsair did it's run-up and flyby he loved that as well as the FW190. Jets he wasn't so bothered about but we see F16s every day here, all he wanted was to watch aircraft all day and when his father came to pick him up in the evening he did not want to go home. Looking forward to taking him to Sanicole Airshow this summer :D -
I was invited to fly a small "airliner" and the most difficult part of it was keeping the three engines in sync, it was the most boring flying I have ever done other than riding in the back with the other passengers. The landing was exciting tho, the BN Trilander had quite a steep final aproach and the pilot wanted to demonstrate to me it's short field performance :shocking:

What are the mole grips for? Enquiring minds want to know :D
