  1. Not sure what you're talking about, if it's other aircrafts or your own. For your own one, you need to choose "takeoff from parking lot" in the waypoint menu. If you want to place static objects (aircrafts, ammunition etc) on a carrier ou need to use the "link to unit" option and choose the carrier. If you mark "set offset position", you can also place them where you want on the carrier. cheers
  2. The new NVIDIA 30XX series is announced for when? August? Not sure about that, but you propably should purchase one of these instead of the 2080Ti within the next 6 months...
  3. I'm using Sahajs blue spring with 35cm extension. No issues, although i think the red one would have been enough.
  4. Ok, convinced. Somehow didn't care about the missing paddle switch anymore. Can't wait now. They can count me in for a paddle switch addon, it would be a day one purchase.
  5. Well, the first thing i would check is if those axis work correct in the Windows game controller setup / calibration. Does the effect occur in the Target (or similar) software as well, or is it limited to DCS? If so, i would recommend to check if DCS screwed up your axis settings and if this is not the case, a installation repair. If it is related to your Throttle and the issue is present in your windows game controller setup as well, i would try to re-calibrate it first. If that does not help, open the throttle and check if there are any cables broken, or if you can ID broken boards. I would also carefully clean the internals from any dust. Dust can cause strange behaviors on electronic components. If all that does not help, i'm out of ideas except for contacting TM support. How old is your throttle? If you still got warranty left, scratch everything after "installation repair" and directly contact TM support. Cheers
  6. Get a Virpil WarBRD base and install Avia Sim no-center cams (they come together with the base). I got my TM Warthog grip on my WarBRD base and it's a great combination IMO. VKB is very high quality too, but is incompatible to TM, Virpil and Realsimulator grips as VKB uses a different connector and therefore limits your grip choice significantly. Yes, there are adaptors for the Warthog grip (but not for the Hornet grip yet) to exchange it's connector for a VKB one, but i have never seen them in stock. And i daily observed that for more than 6 months before i scratched VKB. Also Virpil offers their bases separately from the grips, so youre not forced to purchase a Virpil grip. I.e. if you still want to have a metal TM grip (VKB and Virpil grips are all plastic), or even one of the high end Realsimulator grips. If you purchase VKB, you always have to purchase the complete stick (base+grip). Another option would be the Realsimulator FSSB R3 base, as it has no mechanical gimbal but is force sensitive. Also compatible to TM and Virpil grips. Only issue is the price as the base alone is 450€ ex. VAT, wich is more expensive than the complete Warthog HOTAS Cheers
  7. What exactly is the difference in between the F16SGRH and the CE, besides the paint job? The RS homepage says "More features only available in the F16SGRH-CE through the BLE module". This means to me, that the non CE does not have the bluetooth module installed. Is that right, or are there any other differences? Because this confuses me a bit as the F18CGRH description names the same features as the non CE F16SGRH (except for "true F-16 shape"), plus "Firmware upgradeable through BLE, so you could need a 4.0 or higher BLE dongle if your PC doesn’t have BLE included" wich for the F16 grips only the CE version comes with. So in conclusion, the F18CGRH basically offers the same features as the F16SGRH CE, for the price of the non CE F16 grip. Or did i miss something? i'm still struggling with preo-ordering the F18CGRH, as i'm very happy with my TM Hornet grip and the missing paddle switch somehow annoys me. But if it is significant lighter (i have no doubts about the higher quality) than the TM grip, the F18CGRH might fit better onto my 35cm extension after swapping the TM base for a Virpil T-50.
  8. CH pedals served me well for a lot of years, but i wanted to get something new a year ago. I choosed the TPR's because i tested and didn't like rotation pedals and i wanted to have toe brakes. I also got them on a pretty nice discount sale, 420€ including 4 year warranty wich finally convinced me to get them. I purchased a simrig earlier, but the TPR's were delivered about a month prior to the rig. That's why i used the TPRs for like 4 weeks under my desk, wich is why i'd recommend that you should also consider where you want to mount your pedals. The TPRs are definately not suited for under a desk use. I tried all angle settings for the pedals but it remained a pain using them under the desk. I assume (but haven't tried) the same for the Slaw Viper pedals. MFG Crosswind or Virpil Ace rudders propably work better under a desk, due to the angle of their paddles. Mounted on a simrig with a low seat height (on mine, my pedals are almost level with my knees), the TPR's are a joy to use. The pendular system feels great, although a bit soft around the center. Slaw Viper are a bit more precise afaik, but the precision of the TPRs is more than enough to fly fighter jets. This beeing said, i'm not a propeller head and do not fly helicopters so i can't confirm how they work with those. But in terms of quality, you can't go wrong with any of the mentioned rudder pedals. BTW. If you like helicopters and don't necessarily need toe brakes... Have you considered the Virpil Warbird rudders? In terms of shape and appearance they are not a 1:1 replica, but very close to Mi-24 pedals... If that's something you like, just saying. And those are in the same price range as the VKB rudders.
  9. Ah, you're right. My fault.
  10. Not Hornet specific, but one of the best sources out there: Fighter Combat by Robert L. Shaw. Not the cheapest book on Amazon (i think ~50$), but worth every cent. Spectrum Holobyte... Those were the days!
  11. ECM hasn't been implemented yet and comes later in early access. If you set the dispenser to ON, you can only deploy CM after selecting a specific program on your EW page. Select your EW page on one of the DDI's and check the Status of the ALE-47, wich should be on standby. Press mode to cycle through the different modes. For now only Manual works, Auto and Semi are not implemented yet. So press mode 1x to bring up MAN 1. 1 means, that there is program 1 selected. To cycle between programs, select the ALE-47 by pressing the specific button on the DDI and then press the STEP button wich should now be marked on the DDI. If you want to change the programs (set the number of flares and chaffs that shall be dispensed), press ARM on the DDI. Now you can adjust your CM programs. If you want to deploy just a single chaff/flare, you have to set the Dispenser to BYPASS. Cheers
  12. Just a rather stupid question. Why not contacting TM support and ask for replacement cables/parts? TM has a superb customer support. Just open the throttle, check what parts you'll need and email them. They will ship them for a reasonable price. I´d prefer that over the electrical tape solution, just my 2 cents...
  13. I suffer the same issue and have DCS installed on a (rather fast) SSD. By my experience SSD does not help with ingame performance, only with loading speed. Also the GTX 1650 isn't the best GFX card to play DCS, yes, but this is for sure not the reason why his GPU usage drops to 0% and then goes up again. I suffer this in SP after playing for like an hour or two, in MP a bit faster (or immediatly after beeing shot down). My FPS is at stable 60-65 in MP and then drops to 1 with my GPU usage dropping to 0% in tandem. Then it goes back to normal, just to drop again after like 10-20 seconds. The sim turns unplayable and however only rebooting my pc helps for me.
  14. I'm addicted to military flight sims for more than 25 years now, but tbh i have never heard of bugeye technologies. Just checked their homepage and they seem to have some nice high quality stuff, especially the Hornet D and F throttle for the WSO seem to fit my needs. But this all looks like professional/commercial grade hardware propably in the 1000€+ price range, + shipping from the US to germany. Same for the Typhoon HOTAS, propably an excellent piece of hardware. But as you said, there is a reason why Reiser and Bugeye don't list the price online. That stuff is made in USA/Germany, not in China. I'd have no pain with spending 500 or 600€ + shipping for an excellent Hornet throttle replica, but the Bugeye throttle will most likely be double the price. The legacy Hornet is my all time favorite fighter jet and i'm a bit frustrated of not having a Hornet throttle replica while other lucky ppl can gladly enjoy their Winwing hotas, but not enough yet to get something in the (assumed) Bugeye Tech price range... But still, thank you very much for your effort. At least it gave me some hope, that there are options for me to get one some day. I saved the Bugeye homepage to my favorites, who knows... cheers
  15. Yes, i know about the Winwing throttle and i'd love to get it. But sadly it will never fit into my simrig, no matter what i try. I even considered weilding a DIY solution, but it's simply impossible to make it fit because the throttle is too tall. I already accepted the fact that there will be no Hornet throttle for me and i have to stick with the mid-class WH throttle for each aircraft. It was just some upcoming hope after reading your post about a Realsimulator throttle beeing in developement... Well, at least i can expect one for flying the Viper. That's nice too.
  16. Makes sense though. I'd prefer a Hornet replica throttle, but a Viper throttle is very welcome too. It hopefully will fit Warthog throttle mounts...
  17. Hello everyone, Since the update that implemented the option to place neutral units, i have a weird problem with the mission points for triggers in the ME. I didn't find anyhing via forum search about this issue yet, so i just open a new thread. If i set a trigger i.e. "mission points higher than" and choose red, blue or offline, it always says "unknown" instead of the choosen point type in the trigger text. Only if i choose neutral, it shows neutrals in the trigger text. This issue only occurs for triggers, for mission tasks, choosing red, blue or offline works as intended. For old missions, crafted prior to the update, where this type of trigger has been set, it still shows red, blue or offline in the trigger text, but not the type of mission point in the selection field. This has direct impact on the missions, as the triggers don't work anymore. Just for clarification... "Blau" = blue in german and "Unbekannt" means unknown:
  18. May i ask what kind of throttle? Hornet replica?

  21. I installed the stick in the perfect position to operate it comfortable while beeing completely leaned back into the seat. In order to make this work, i had to reduce the X and Y axis deflection to 50% via DCS axis settings. 100% deflection with an extension that big on the WH base isn't realistic anyways. With both X and Y axis deflection set to 50% i do now have full deflection nose up exactly when the stick touches the seat and nose down when i'm leaned back and my right arm is fully stretched. This way i have a soft detent at 100% nose up and ~25mm from the grip to my mfd mount at 100% nose down. For rolling left and right, i have full deflection as soon as the grip touches my legs. The stick is still significant more precise and as a side effect this prevents the WH gimbal from beeing damaged. I center mounted the stick half a year ago and it works great. edit: Maybe i should mention that only the straight part of the extension combo hits the chair.

    F-15E?

May i ask where you got it from?
  23. I took the Virpil curved extension and attached it on top of an additional straight extension, so i have 35cm in total. Works great for me, but had to switch the original spring for Sahajs blue one.
  24. Have you considered selective jettision + station select?
  25. I misread that, my fault. But still, on one hand you're saying standalone is better because one avoids the steam cut and on the other hand you're calling it an advantage that one can buy modules on the steam shop as well with standalone. And then again have the 20 or 30% steam cut? Where is the point? If you buy standalone to support ED, you should not take advantage of the opportunity to buy from steam at the same time. That would be a little bit two faced, wouldn't it? You could just delete your standalone install and stay completely with steam, no difference at all. Another advantage of steam in general is IMO, that steam does not require any reinstalls after reinstalling windows or getting a new PC. Plug in your Steam SSD and all games will run without having to reinstall them. I'm using the same steam install for like 6 or 7 years now. And within that time frame, i upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10, reinstalled windows several times after getting a new SSD etc. and i never had to reinstall Steam (or any containing apps/games) for a single time. Just double click the steam.exe, steam will create a new registry entry on it's own and every game will run as before. I can copy paste my Steam install to a different SSD and it will perfectly work. I could even unplug my Steam SSD, go to a friend and plug my SSD into his PC, start the Steam install on my SSD and it will run on his PC without any issues. Try that with a standalone installation and report the result. You can turn it how you want, literally steam has only advantages over standalone. ED would not be the first software studio that sells more copies on steam than standalone.
