Wenn Du Zeit hast, dann ist es vielleicht eine Überlegung wert auf den VKB Throttle zu warten. Wenn der denn mal endlich auf den Markt kommt. Von Winwing muss ich dringendst abraten. Der Throttle ist zwar mit Abstand das beste, was ich je hatte (ersetzt meinen TM Warthog Throttle). Musste aber nach dem auspacken feststellen, dass er kein CE Zeichen hat und somit die Einfuhr nach Europa illegal ist. Wenn er vom Zoll im Rahmen der Strichprobenkontrolle entdeckt wird, wird er einbehalten und vernichtet. Auf deine Kosten. Wurde in einem anderen Thread bereits ausgiebig erläutert. Und absolut perfekt ist er auch nicht, ich habe nach 3 Wochen intensiver Nutzung schon das ein oder andere Manko entdeckt, das mich stört. Wobei ich bei manchem nicht sicher bin, ob das generell der Fall ist oder nur bei meinem Exemplar. Gruß

Also ein Freund von mir hat sich kurz bevor der o.g. Flugsimulator released wurde noch ein Warthog HOTAS gekauft. Mit 2 Jahren Anschlussgarantie, für unter 390,-€. Ohne Anschlussgarantie hätte er (ich glaube) 370 gekostet. Mehr als 400€ ist absoluter Wucher für das, was das Gerät (vor allem die Base) bietet.

It also guarantees, that the manufactor produces under european standards for envroinment protection. After ordering my WinWing throttle, i had a phonecall with my local customs office (should have done that before ordering). I wanted to ask how taxes are going to be handled. The official told me twice, that every electronic device without CE marking is illegal and will be confiscated. That's all i can say about it. Yes you can self certificate, but if it turns out that your product did not fulfill the CE requirements while having the marking, the manufactor can be charged for everything the device caused. I.e. when it starts burning and people die in the fire (Of course the worst possible case), the manufactor is responcible and will be charged for that. And if the manufactor isn't located in europe and therefore can'T be charged, it is likely that his products will be permanently banned from the europan market. All PC Peripherals i own (escept for the WW Throttle) do have a CE marking and they all need it, that is for sure. I have no idea how your throttles electronics are different to the TM Warthog Throttle or Virpil bases i own, but it is realy important that you are absolutely sure yours don't need one. In general, national customs confiscates each electronic device without marking, even if they don't need. Problem is, that the buyer has to proove this to the customs office wich is very difficult. There are a lot of rumours and fals information about the CE marking online, so make sure your source is reliable. Hi Lars, willkommen im Forum und bei DCS! Also es gibt die MiG-15, MiG-19 und die MiG-21 mit klickbarem Cockpit. Modernere Muster scheitern leider, wie QuiGon schon sagt, an der m.M.n. übertriebenen russischen Geheimhaltung. Für deinen Throttle würde ich mal WD-40 probieren. Im englischen Teil des Forums habe ich schon öfter gelesen, dass der ein oder andere damit gute Ergebnisse erzielt hat. Viele Grüße und guten Flug!

If it will have a CE (Conformiteé Europeé) certifiation, i'm in. Without CE certification electronic devices (yes, also 5V USB devices) are illegal to import, sell and operate in europe and i'm out. Had this issue with WW and not going to risk my shipment beeing confiscated by national customs. People jumping on the hype train sometimes forget, that there are strict rules and regulations for production, selling and operating electronic devices... I know, speaking this out is unpopular, but these laws are a fact of life in developed countries.

A bit confused now, as you told me a few posts above you were specifically talking about official/DLC campaigns. As mentioned before, for official/DLC Hornet campaigns you got a 50:50 choice for hot or cold start. You just choosed the wrong to buy. That's kinda unfortunate, but true. When you play free campaigns (i.e. Saber Thrust) with hot start, while you prefer cold start... well, this is your own fault. Mission one is hot start -> delete ithe campaign and try the next one. For the canned missions, i only played "Dawn Raiders" and "Ode to Mongo" and it's long ago. I couldn't even tell if it's hot or cold. I think there are only 4 combat missions for the Hornet anyways? The rest are weapons qualification or whatever training missions. If you want more cold start missions/campaigns, again, the Mission/campaign editor is your friend. It's better to do it by yourself, than rely on others to do the job. I think there are quite a few people like me in DCS, who spend a lot of time in the editor (i got ~1000 hours) making their own stuff but don't ever upload it because of various reasons. I met a few crafting outstanding missions for private coop/SP and never uploaded a single mission, and i had people telling me my missions/campaigns should be uploaded as well, but... no thanks. I simply don't enjoy the pressure of updating my missions regulary after updates and same for a lot of other people i guess. I had this with my ArmA 3 missions in the Steam Workshop. Never again. And when there are people in addition, beeing pissed about if it's hot or cold start, F10 map settings, or whatever... guess why there is so "few" content that fits your personal preference? No offense though, i highly respect your preference for cold start and accurate simming. Honestly! But the way you put it sounds realy disrespectful towards the people who crafted those missions, and to those who prefer hot start. DCS is a simulator wich both, amateurs and hard-core flight simmers can enjoy on the same servers/missions and i think this is a key feature of DCS' success. Cheers

We have 1 domestic and 3 payed DLC campaings in total for the Hornet right now. Are there more payed campaigns? I don't think so. And 2 out of 3 DLC campaigns do cold start and overall 50% of all official campaigns are cold start. Wich campaigns are you referring to when you say you have noticed it in three campaigns, while only 2 DLC/official campaigns are hot start in fact?

Fair enough, i must have missed that part. Well, for DLC campaigns i'm all with you. These should be cold start. But i remember i.e. the BFM Aggressors campaing to be cold start...

I use all types of mission start, cold, hot, runway... manual and autostart. Highly depends on my mood and time, as well as on the mission i'm crafting. When doing 2 player coop missions, time is mostly very short on a sunday evening and we go for hotstart. I get that some people prefer (manual) cold start for realism/immersion, absolutely understandable and i like that too. I remember the option to choose from ramp, taxi and runway on every mission start in that other Falcon uhm... Viper sim. Something similar would propably be the best solution for DCS. But DCS has way higher priorities than that, so i don't think this is something we will see in the nearby future. The second best solution would be to use that powerful tool ED is delivering with DCS. It's called mission editor. How about crafting own missions, instead of telling other people how they should craft THEIR missions? If you don't like hot starts, don't download these missions or modify them on your own. Problem solved. No time for that? Hotstart in 10 missions instead of coldstart will save you 1 hour for the mission editor. Time is not an excuse. No effort? Then live with it.

Ah ok, das war mir so nicht bewusst. Ich dachte immer, dass auch die Air Force den Auftrag der Seezielbekämpfung hat. Zumindest in Küstennähe. Das mit den AGM-158 wusste ich, der Absatz bezog sich jedoch auf "unsere" F-16 in DCS. Das war etwas unglücklich ausgedrückt. Übrigens schade, dass wir die nicht bekommen. Die Epoche müsste ja eigentlich stimmen, ich glaube die sind 2004 oder 2005 in Dienst gestellt worden. Würde also für beide Vögel in DCS passen. Wahrscheinlich sind nicht genug Daten öffentlich verfügbar...

Ah, hab ich doch glatt übersehen. Die US Viper hat aber trotzdem einen Seezielradarmodus, weil Seezielbekämpfung m.W.n. für jedes richtige Mehrzweckkampflugzeug eine geforderte Fähigkeit ist. Also irgendwas muss da schon vorgesehen gewesen sein. Ich denke es ist eher so, dass die Air Force die AGM-84 nicht angeschafft und daher auch bei den Vipern die Verkabelung für die Harpoon nicht bezahlen wollte. Man könnte sagen, dass die US Viper in dieser Hinsicht eher kastriert wurde, als dass sie dafür nicht vorgesehen war. Interessant wäre z.B., ob die Demokratische Republik China (Taiwan) in deren Vipers die Verkabelung für AGM-84 hat? Alles in allem ist die Viper zwar benutzerfreundlicher, die Hornet bleibt aber der weitaus vielseitigere Vogel. Leistungsfähigeres Radar, höhere Reichweite etc. Die Standoff-Fähigkeiten sind bei der Viper auch eher dürftig. Selbst mit JSOW kann sie da niemals mit dem mithalten, was die Hornet mit der SLAM-ER bietet.

Ich dachte JSOW wirds für die Viper auch nicht geben, oder irre ich mich? Und da die AGM-84 ja eine ganze Familie ist (SLAM / SLAM-ER) ist da schon ein einigermaßen beachtliches Arsenal, das der Viper fehlt. Für richtige TASMO Einsätze ist die Viper nicht zu gebrauchen. Ok, die AGM-65... Aber bei deren Reichweite sind die Anti-Schiffskapazitäten der Viper IMO eher lächerlich. Einen Zerstörer, oder gar einen Trägerverband würde ich damit nicht angreifen wollen...

Ich glaube, dass das Logbuch die Flugstunden nicht mitzählt im SP, wenn der Autopilot aktiviert ist.

The Warthog grip is a mix of F-16 and A-10 grip. A-10 has no paddle switch on the grip, while the F-16 has a totally different angle than the warthog and is more tilted forward. Wich is the reason why Realsimulator offers an F16 angle adaptor for the Warthog grip when used with their FSSB R3 base. If you want a grip that has the correct shape of the F-16 grip, you have to go with Realsimulator.

Yep, me too. But afaik these were Generation 2 NVG's. Aren't modern (Generation 3) NVG's looking blue?

Oha, nein so lange hab ich die Bürgerschaft noch nicht. Schade, aber es ist ja noch weit davon entfernt fertig zu werden, auch wenn sich mit den letzten Patches recht viel getan hat. Du hast also noch viel Zeit bis du dafür aufrüsten musst. Also wenn man mit DCS nichts anfangen kann, deinstalliert man das nach ein paar Wochen ausprobieren wieder. Wer bereits neun Monate spielt ist angefixt und suchtet :thumbup: Du wirst also wohl vorher schon für DCS auf- bzw. nachrüsten. Civ flightsim? Regardless the graphics and technology... Waaaaay too peaceful and boring for me. The only thing that would kill DCS 2.5 for me, would be DCS 3.0. I know ppl playing the MS (or similar) flight sims taking off in Berlin friday evening, engage autopilot, go to sleep and land in Sidney after waking up saturday morning. When i ask them why, they reply "well, the flight is boring". WTF, whats the point in playing it then? No, i knew from the beginning, that this new sim will have little to none affect on DCS. Simply two totally different types of flight simmers. Cheers

Nur den Throttle seit letzter Woche Dienstag. F-18 grip hatte ich schon was (m.M.n.) besseres als WinWing. Deswegen hab ich den Thread ja eröffnet, weil ich beim auspacken feststellen musste dass der Throttle kein CE-Zeichen hat. Tatsächlich hat er überhaupt gar kein Prüfzeichen und auch kein Typenschild. Versand, wie gesagt, ging recht zügig und hat 77,- US-$ gekostet. Insgesamt waren es ~642,- US-$, was dann per PayPal etwa 569,-€ waren. Versand erfolgte mit FedEx bis an die Haustür, bzw. an meinen Arbeitsplatz. Vom Zoll habe ich bisher noch keine Rechnung bekommen. Da hast Du natürlich vollkommen recht. Ich finde das auch nicht gut. Die Entscheidung muss jeder für sich selbst treffen. Dass Ragnaroek in Teufels Küche kommt, wünsche ich ihm aber trotzdem nicht. Ganz ehrlich.? Wenn ich den richtigen Maschinenpark dafür hätte, würde ich mir auch lieber alles selber bauen als kaufen. Das hat einfach mehr Charakter und man kann viel individueller auf die eigenen Anforderungen eingehen. Ich bin immer wieder begeistert, was manch einer hier im Forum selber zaubert. In dem Unternehmen in dem ich arbeite stehen CNC-Fräsen und Drehmaschinen für Werkstücklängen von 20 Millimeter bis 10 Meter. DMG-Mori, Sachmann, Duss, Boehringer etc. Alles was im Maschinenbau Rang und Namen hat. Da in der zerspanenden Fertigung aber im 3 Schichtbetrieb gearbeitet wird und jede Schicht nur 15 Minuten Pause hat, kann ich auch nicht einfach einen Kollegen aus der Fertigung bitten ein bisschen länger zu bleiben um dies, oder das für mich zu fertigen. Die Maschinen sind einfach rund um die Uhr in betrieb. Außerdem schiebt die Geschäftsführung bei größeren "Heimprojekten", die Laufzeiten von 10 Minuten überschreiten und nicht in der Pause fertig gestellt werden können, einen Riegel vor. Allerdings dürfen wir in der Pause jede Maschine kostenfrei nutzen und müssen lediglich Material bezahlen (zum EK), was ja schon extrem Mitarbeiterfreundlich ist. Ein Ritzel fürs Motorrad herstellen, oder mal ne Kleinigkeit fürs SimPit fräsen geht gerade noch. Komplexere Sachen, wie nen Throttle oder Stick, sind allerdings nicht drin. Von daher bleibt für mich (leider) nur kaufen übrig. Habe ich getan, siehe Eröffnungspost. Leider war ich nicht schlau genug das vor der Bestellung zu tun und mein Throttle war da dann schon unterwegs. Das muss ich mir ehrlicherweise vorwerfen. Gruß

Bei mir waren es 8 Tage ab Bestellung, kommt also hin. Bin gespannt, ob bei Dir alles reibungslos funktioniert. Drück Dir auf jeden Fall die Daumen.

Das ist interessant, wusste ich nicht. Allerdings bezieht sich das doch nur auf die MwSt, oder? Da aber beim Import in die USA sicherlich auch eine Art Einfuhrsteuer anfällt, sollten die Preise dennoch höher ausfallen als im chinesischen Store. Oder nicht? Außerdem muss auch der Versand von China in die USA bezahlt werden und ich kann mir fast nicht vorstellen, dass Fox2 in derartigen Massen importiert, dass der Transport in die USA sich nicht im Preis niederschlägt. Außerdem ist im nordamerikanischen Store alles ausverkauft und es gibt auch keine Angaben dazu, wann die Artikel wieder verfügbar sind. Versandkosten aus China waren übrigens 77,- US-$, falls dich das interessiert. Wie gesagt, ich glaube Fox2 lässt ebenfalls direkt aus China liefern. Wenn Du bestellst, kannst Du ja mal berichten von wo aus der Versand stattfand. Das würde mich wirklich interessieren. Gruß

Aber mal eine Frage, wie hoch wäre denn die Zollgebühr gewesen? Das sind doch nur ein paar Euro, weil das nur die Bearbeitungsgebühr ist. Die MwSt. macht doch sowieso den Löwenanteil aus, oder lieg ich da falsch? Zum WinWing store. Kann ich mir kaum vorstellen. Die Preise sind 1:1 exakt gleich wie im chinesischen Store, was für mich heißt, dass da keine Einfuhrumsatzstreuer o.ä. (wie auch immer das in den USA/Canada bezeichnet wird) drauf ist. Außerdem sind die Preise weiterhin ohne MwST (VAT) Das alles lässt mich darauf schliessen, dass der amerikanische Store genauso aus Chengdu/China versendet. Das Paket war übrigens nicht deklariert, es war also keine Angabe über Wert und Inhalt der Sendung auf dem Paket. Zumindest nicht unverschlüsselt, was der Barcode beinhaltet hat kann ich nicht sagen. Eventuell wirst Du es daher beim Zoll abholen müssen. Aber wenigstens weißt Du, was auf Dich zukommt. Viel Glück. edit: Ich bin gerade mit WinWing in Kontakt wegen dem CE Zeichen und warte noch auf Antwort zu meiner zweiten Email. Is it this way in the real thing? It somehow annoys me as i often used both during missions when switching from A/A to A/G. If it's realistic, it's ok with me. But still wondering why THIS has priority for correction while we are still limited to 30 flares...:dunno:
