more stats would be very nice! I currently just have 2 backup folders in my pilots logbook folder. 1 is the pilots.xml backup and the other is my pilots (pilot56.xml) backup folder. After completing a mission, you save the original pilots.xml and pilot56.xml in the backup folders. If you die, you copy and paste the backup files back into the main logbook folder, thus overwritting the dead ones. problems with this are: 1.Pain in the ass. 2.If you fail a mission and reset, you will not get credit for any of the flight time or stats for that mission. (this can be a big problem if your a pilot that never makes it back to base on the 1st shot) 3. Does not keep track of how many times the pilot has died. On the flip side though, IRL a pilot will only die once so this makes the stat page look better. Also helps create a discipline of trying to complete missions from take-off to landing successfully as real pilots do! Please ED, make a better stat tracker! heres mine (probably had to edit this one about 10 times)

UPDATE After letting the TIR cool down it seems to be fine again. All electrical connections are fine, and the amount of heat the monitor puts out appears to be normal, as it is cool everywhere accept on the top where the vents are, and since heat rises..... Unfortunately this is where I was setting the TIR. I have moved the TIR to sit on the top of the "neck" instead of the screen itself, and this will work for me. ;) Conclusion: TIR can definately overheat and cause major tracking issues, but if allowed to cool damage might not be permanent. p.s. I did a brief search through the naturalpoint forums and didn't see any topics relating to this.

I have had the same TIR 3 pro for at least 1.5years and I just got a new LCD flat screen monitor. It seems to be alot hotter than my CRT and after leaving the TIR and monitor on over night the TIR is really screwed... When looking at the "tracking" tab of the TIR GUI screen it was completely red and constantly flashing/flickering. I turned it off and let everything cool down which seemed to help, but it is now ultra sensitive to heat and has some constant pixelated areas when looking at the "tracking" tab. Is this a result of overheat, the TIR going bad or both? I just ordered a 4 pro and some mounts, but I'm wondering if I could possibly have the same issue with the new one? Anyone else had this problem or a remendy for heat issues and LCD's? Thanks,

I did this in a MIG-29 IRL! :) Did not require rudder from my memory. Only to reach minimum speed and gravity takes over, the way you fall depends on the AOA when you reach 0 speed. +90 you will fall backwards -90 forawrds (also your rate of climb fators in too).

Here is a video (from a hidden position on the ground) of 2 Russian attack helos straffing a section of forest in search of Chechen fighters. It is not of that good a quality and I am not sure what type of helos they are? Looks like 2 different types, and possibly a Ka-50 and/or Mi-? variants.... It is cool to see the use of flares. Can someone help ID them, thanks. ;) Oh yeah....
