That would certainly be interesting. Non DCS quality helo with AFM. Hmm... I guess that could be a major selling point for me as I'm a huge rotorsexual but don't really have time to study new DCS aircraft. Other than that I don't really see a point in paying for a graphics update for FC2. It must have something much more major than just an engine update ie AFM for every aircraft and/or new ones.

Many people have experienced much better performance with Crossfire OFF. I have no personal experience but you should definately try.

Yes propably it was NAV 1 enabled since I had no reason to change it in the mission start. I believe the HUD should not display any range unless a target is lased and it has always indicated the same range as Shkval since BS1.

Damn man that's convincing to say the least! I have no doubt YoYo has done a great job. It's just that simulation engines differ from the real world and cause debatable stuff no matter how accurate the input values are. Thanks for putting it into numbers :)

Yes you certainly can even from the tail rotor. But would ~ 5 m/s wind be able to spin the rotor at 20 % RPM with zero pitch?

Collective brake also commands the autopilot altitude hold. It works like trim on cyclic when Alt Hold is enabled. When you depress the brake, it will disengage the automatic control and when you release it, it will try to hold that current altitude. This mode also has only 20 % of control.

Would that be realistic? I won't say what is and what isn't because I have very little experience on helicopters (and none in co-axials) but I feel like it would not happen in real life. It's just because of simulation. Or does anyone know for real? Not a big deal for me. Nothing is perfect and this is just how TFCE handles physics. It's still second to none!

Yup had the same thing happen to me in a different mission. That's just how it is in the sim I guess :)

Trim just a wee forward before lifting off. Just one or two diamonds forward of center. With helicopters in general you need to be ready to respond to anything quickly with all your limbs. They require constant control to do what you want. It will come with experience. For me it also zooms out on start. I've no idea why but I already learned to stop it immediately with a quick tap. Yeah they're insane. Keep your range! Can't believe it's real as it's much more deadly than dedicated short range SAM's. They have one weakness though: laser warning! Something we lack with other AA threats.
