That happens below 4 m AGL. Stay higher.

I think most of us missed that. :)

WOW! It's truly amazing what can be done these days. I also watched the making of video and it was very cool to see how complex it is and how much skill it takes. Not saying it did really portray what it takes but anyway.

Oh right, it's in the changelog. :D Still great to hear that you are still improving the flight model of our old Shark!

Sorry but it feels silly when something changes and EVERYONE complains, the mod's immediately smash that and say "it's a placebo effect", "you others must be seeing illusions" and "everything is working as intended" etc. I respect you and appreciate your work but please don't smash the people who report it since they might not have time or energy to thoroughly test it and it might go unnoticed. Rather be constructive, encourage others to test or contact testers etc. :)

I've wondered about it too. They start getting used to it early in Cessnas. When you adjust the pull-push throttle, you have to control the yoke with left hand. Many ultralight aircraft also have a stick between your legs and a throttle in the center console. So if you sit on the left where all gauges are, you have to control with left hand. It does sound very weird to me too and I can't really imagine flying nearly as good with left hand.

DCS: Black Shark 2, Version 1.2.0 Available
Griffin replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
In case I'm not the only one using snapviews, you can import your old ones and place them in the above folder. I'm afraid there isn't an option to make each plane their own file. -
High Resolution Terrain Noise texture for FC2.0
Griffin replied to Mustang's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Weren't there more versions of this and at least one more thread for DCS? EDIT: Oh, it was integrated into DCS... Thanks Mustang! -
Thanks! I'm just a bit annoyed for having no Russian Ka-50 to fly. :D By the way, they work just fine in single player. No need to log in and create servers etc.

Russian voice comms pack for DCS World

Thanks Mustang! There should be an option to choose from the language you want. :) -
Jaa okay! I'm critical about his book's pricetag so I'll see if I can find it cheaper. :D It would be very interesting to read about Finnish helicopter ops. Not too common stuff. Does that mean that the missile will explode before reaching the target if the fuze reacts to ground? Was the fuze range around 10 m or so? Just making sure. Very interesting information guys!

DCS: Black Shark 2, Version 1.2.0 Available

I haven't found a solution or got an answer so let's ask this way. - Which file in the old BS2 contains campaign progress status and is it stored in logbook? - Can I import it to DCS World and where should I place it now? - Where is the snapviews file located now in DCS World? I haven't found it in the usual \Config\Views\ folder (only DefaultSnapViews file is found there). Is it possible to import the old settings? I really hope there is a separate file for each plane since my instrument panel usage is completely based on snapviews. If it's only generic for every plane through the DefaultSnapViews file, it will be a pain in the ass to switch planes and not have the same views. They are really essential if you are not using a large full HD screen. -

Can I import my logbook, incomplete campaign and snapviews? -
Kiitti! Ah, obviously he's very critical about the NH90 which is very effective and a maturing helicopter these days. Much of the criticism is of course true for the huge delay part. If I see it somewhere, I might read it for such interesting stories but it might be hard to go through all that complaining. :) Good info on the manpads!

Ok :) Has this seriously not been here yet?

New Su-25 pilot showing off his cool videos on Youtube. Ukrainian this time. What's this country he's flying in? Some more vids I spotted on Russian forums:

Russian ground forces have lased targets for Su-25 laser guided missiles in Chechnya. I don't see a reason why shouldn't it be possible if both aircraft are able to use that weapon. The Su-25 pilot is instructed to dive in the correct spot by JTAC and he gets the "launch authorized" light when the seeker sees the spot. That has been done in combat. This has been described by KUSLIN2, our forums veteran Frog pilot. I can dig it out if you really want but it might take a moment.

Could you tell where you got the FDF info from? Would be an interesting read if public.

What's your technique for flying the Shark smoothly?
Griffin replied to Stretch's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
In real life anytime you move the collective, you press and hold the brake and release it when the collective is in the new position. The brake is there to prevent any unwanted movement due to vibration or acceleration. So that would be the correct way to use it. Collective brake in the sim doesn't have any function if the Alt Hold isn't engaged. When you use it when it's engaged, you should always do it the correct way, or you you will be fighting the autopilot. The collective brake assigns the altitude to hold and if you move the collective without pressing it, autopilot will still try to hold the old altitude. Pressing and holding the brake disengages the autopilot and when you release it, autopilot engages again and the new altitude is assigned to it. -

Dumb question perhaps but did you get the "mission success" message?
