I don't remember anyone mentioning the fix for this hydraulic system bug: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=50179&highlight=hydraulic+bug
-
Isegrim: those bugs are most likely not going to be fixed as DCS BS and FC2 will no longer be compatible. We can only hope for a last fix patch for those who want to play only FC2 and DCS BS in compatibility mode. But in the current situation, no such patch is needed or planned AFAIK.

Thank you sir and testers for all your efforts! This also applies to the Airport button and possibly others too so better check them all. Helicopter sinks into the landing pad on ships. Neustrashimiy vessel in this example:

There are interesting differences in different Ka-52's. All of them seem to lack flare dispensers. Number 53 has additional mini pylons on both wings and something strange hanging there. Wonder what those are. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia---Air/Kamov-Ka-52/1961181/L/&sid=22866ae2ca655ef0cad9ecfa903601a3 http://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia---Air/Kamov-Ka-52/1958667/L/&sid=e1b76b52651e1fed8263386f04b1a928 Number 062 has an IR missile defence system. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia---Air/Kamov-Ka-52/1955855/L/&sid=e1b76b52651e1fed8263386f04b1a928 http://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia---Air/Kamov-Ka-52/1822694/L/&sid=e1b76b52651e1fed8263386f04b1a928 Nice to see how the Ka-52 has evolved into a modern and capable combat helicopter! http://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia---Air/Kamov-Ka-52/1944876/L/&sid=e1b76b52651e1fed8263386f04b1a928 http://www.airliners.net/photo/Russia---Air/Kamov-Ka-52/1886015/L/&sid=e1b76b52651e1fed8263386f04b1a928

The too high idle power setting(?) prevents from doing realistic autorotations. Especially according to helicopter aviation professionals like AlphaOneSix, Pirke77 and Callsign.Vega. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=56997&highlight=autorotation&page=2

Hi Tyger! Nice to see you too. I hope to someday have real free time from this "mini family". :D I definately agree that this flight model is second to none. I'm just pointing out things that other more experienced and more professional people than me have noted. For example the AlphaOneSix quote from previous page (I know he's not a pilot). I'm just wondering if this is as good as it gets or is there actually some play in the flight model tweaking. If this is just a limitation of the engine or something like that, I'm perfectly fine with it. Just thinking that if something should and can be done, then this is propably the last time devs are going to give the Ka-50 some attention. Oh yeah, sorry, here's the THREAD. Pirke77 is a pilot and for example Callsign.Vega says interesting stuff too. EtherealN: I'm aware that it's not the same people doing these, just figuring there's propably more than the graphics designers working on the patch also. :) I'm not demanding actions necessarily, only any possible info. :)

Hi Nate, I don't want to get on your nerves but would like to know if ED sees anything wrong with their flight model? If they could possibly fix some minor texture issues, wouldn't they be interested in making the Shark as realistic as possible? Somehow it feels half baked if an important part of flight dynamics is wrong based on real life pilot opinions. I read a 5 page thread about the issue but no "official" people cleared anything although they were informed and read it.
-
To answer myself: To me, this is a big issue in the flight model of a DCS series aircraft. Flight model is the holiest thing after all. Anyway this could be looked at? AlphaOneSix is of course an ED tester but I'm not sure if he has anything to do with Ka-50 testing.
-
Wasn't there also something wrong in the flight model when autorotating?
-
I don't know THE answer to the original question but this is true only at sea level. When going up the ratio changes and at cruising altitudes it can be 50/50 % between core and fan.

Finnish F-18C landed on taxiway by accident during NVG flight training. The runway was dark. The pilot ejected and the aircraft went off the runway. No major damage to either pilot or the aircraft. http://www.puolustusvoimat.fi/portal/puolustusvoimat.fi/!ut/p/c5/xZDbcqJAEIafJQ-AM4PD6VIBOQgDMgMKN5SiMUAQFHXUpw9bqa3avUj2amP35V_dX_cHMjD0YX0t9-tz2R7W72AFMjm3RFm1XYg0CxEVOgELRSuaQSuWwRKsIM5pde-cR_2IqsfiRqso8JWY-4aFqNnffUZvvVnemdmK1IgcYpicbBIHFRpKZgtz4uflw1Zfhl3ZX7Rg7k8HmgcTxQuRbsHvc4g-c3lszk1iYWSFOoYONWKNxcr417XfzQeR8pnDL2oCAbHbZgdSkClfOVGhDNhvJ23PqHhEk-KuD3rifFGxlNNqS3xvcfOZPqZ1zQc9vK8HPfUeDnrcQc-NeImHBnPbQc_pIvirfzCln2eq8Al_Kj_PtPAT3IpPYKL_wnRBVm6aES-aERzJKhRljLE2lrAIsQaWm_SizVqHG2b2Ok3XPfFI6DQ4amu27pxds2-0a8XxZXPOw-vS9LEw3zGsTwQFh0U9NrLJgdOZ6aVE6qfdw70nQjahW5blCRdSZvBbw5EurUolwV4ssMhQim7-npO2ca9vy4V9pCcvlujBlle9nV5Ct1cK1V-KUrQ9O-c4OUq7WnwzAjfoyCmZl-FOeOU-PCVSCbrm2pmRzZH6Z_OXD6XhZWA!/dl3/d3/L2dBISEvZ0FBIS9nQSEh/?pcid=42a3f580458fb41488b9bc0a0a40558e Sorry too lazy to look for an English article.

Kiowa Warrior, seen through helmet cam, performing several pop up attacks with gun and rockets on some training ground most likely.

and you thought only sim pilots in public servers did this!

A few incidents like this have already happened in 2010 in other parts of the world and the planes actually took off! Finnish aviation forum is going crazy about this incident but luckily it ended up well and measures are being taken on the airport to prevent things like that in the future. -
First go to you FC2 control options and choose A-10. Then press "O" on your keyboard. If it's mapped correctly the selection should jump onto the CCRP Steering Mode. If it doesn't, find the above action yourself from the list and check the keyboard mapping.

Gulf war Apache friendly fire with actual footage. It's so damn easy. :(

More speed as in Black Shark. The only feature that takes advantage of multiple cores is the sound engine. So two cores is enough at the moment as there is nothing built into the sim that will use more. For any other modern games, quad core can be useful. I just went from E7300 to Q9550 in the hope of increasing performance with other games. Otherwise I wouldn't had bothered.

Damn they can drop it from high. I still had the idea of a sea skimming torpedo run WW2 style.

It looks normal. Turn to target isn't a perfect system. A small pedal input is necessary almost every time. Trim also affects it. Press RCtrl + Enter to see the control box. Center your pedal trim before aiming. Also try using manual weapon release mode. It will allow you to fire even if you aren't pointing exactly at the target. Like Frederf said, the sequense looks right. The Alt hold is automatically engaged with auto hover. I have mapped a button on my HOTAS to toggle the Alt hold off after I disengage auto hover. Your shooting sequence looks okay too. - Turn on all the systems necessary ie. HMS, master arm etc. - Aim at the target with HMS. - Lock on to the target. - Shoot. It is that simple.
