If I am wrong it will not be my 1st time. But I feel You MUST install the OpenXR ToolKit Composit Program. I have a AMD MotherBoard I have a AMD RX 6900 XT Red Devil Video running the Latest Drivers. I first plug all my Devices in Joystick HOTAS Rudder Peddles and VR HEADSET HP G2 IS OFF NO POWER. I Open OpenXR Developer Tools 1st I Open WMR 2nd it will say it is ready and to plug in the Headset. I plug in the Headset 3rd I Start DCS World 4th It will Boot up and go into a entering VR mode just like when useing STEAM VR but the load screen will open then close 2 times before Launching DCS. This is why I feel you MUST Install the OpenXR ToolKit Companion Program for it to launce Open Composite Correctly. Point of all things I do not know. If Steam VR would be needed by any of the Installed Programs to run and You do not have Steam installed it may never work. I just do not Know the answer to this. if it would be a Problem for you. If ALL the Programs are Installed this should Work. Good Luck

Hello: it is easy to read the frustration you are dealing with. Please if I may ask you some direct questions to get clear answers to things you have communicated that I do not understand. the G2 needs Windows Mixed Reality so I will assume you do. WMR needs OpenXR Developer Tools For Windows Mixed Reality so I will assume you have this program too. When you say when I load DCS in OpenXR are you talking "OpenXR Developer tools" or are you talking "OpenXR Toolkit Companion" ? Have you opened WMR Program gone to "SETTINGS" gone to "ENVIRONMENT" and Cleared Environment Data? I have a G2 I run DCS. All of the Programs I have installed to Run DCS are. WMR The WMR addon program "SkySpaces App" that has 1 low poly home page for low Poly Memory loading environment to save memory to help DCS run. (WMR runs during your VR gaming reducing the Memory used is a plus. You don't need a High poly count memory hog home environment open when playing DCS) OpenXR Developer Tools OpenXR ToolKit Companion Open Composit (I do not use Per Game Install) IF YOU DID make sure you used the correct Driver DLLs 32 bit and 64 bit if your system is a 32 bit you must Download/run the 32 bit DLL's) I get it is a lot of Programs to install but, if done right, it works. Also look up how to Clear all your SHADER Files in DCS. This can be a problem too. You may need to Clear them. I hope the Frustration works its way out and you get the game to run in VR right.

Are you running OpenXR Toolkit and OpenComposite? This will happen if you didn't do the install for DCS without doing the OpenComposite Notes. On the Down Load Screen Just under the list of Games that it will run. DCS is one of them. * These games use an old version of D3DCompiler_47.dll that is incompatible with some OpenXR Runtimes. If you experience an error with OpenComposite resulting in a -2 error code then find the D3DCompiler_47.dll in the game install dir and rename to D3DCompiler_47.dll_orig. This will then use the one from your system path that should be the latest version if your system is up to date. So if you Are running OpenComposite and you have a Black Screen in the VR headset with sound and a VR Monitor Screen of the game running. Do the above after shutting all the programs down and turning off your headset.

Has anyone with a AMD Video Card used the Steam software "Lossless Scaling" with the NIS Nvidia Upscaling option in VR with DCS? I'm always asking just before giving it a run, Bad habit but I find no post on the subject here. I don't know why but my OpenXR Toolkit software started going wacko on me and I uninstalled it and reset DCS to go back to Steam. It works fine now but I'm back to the old problems and I was spoiled before. Always looking to get better gameplay.

As of now I have this setting for the Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG Throttle setting to fly a Helicopter in this case the UH-1 Huey. This gives me more of a full range of movement from the stock setting in game. (AXIS tune not set) I would have to move the Throttle up 75% of its movement distant to just Start to get lift off leaving me with a very small range of use. With the new settings I move the Throttle maybe 1" and almost instantly get the very start of lift effect giving more range of use and better control. I will more then likely still change this a little more to my liking but I feel it is FAR better then the stock game movement range if AXIS Tune is left untweaked.

Hello I am sorry if I mislead you I use VR not track IR and I do not know anything about it other then People LOVE it and it works very well for flat screen flying. Sorry I Did get my answer to my Question and I thank You Very much for the kind offer. I am good Thank you

I UPDATED FIRMWARE AND PEDALS KEEP RESTARTING ( PLUG/UNPLUGG SOUND ALL THE TIME) You loaded wrong firmware for your pedals version ! Electronics for V1 and V2 are different and have safety feature built in to protect electronics from such event. To determine which version of the pedals you have take a look at the following picture However, no reason to panic. You can revive your pedals with correct firmware. All you have to do is open Mikrobootloader application directly from software package/firmware upgrade... and click connect untill you see pedals connected. Then proceed to upgrade firmware ( with correct file, you have firmware changelog and explanation in software package). V4.xx firmware is for V1 pedals V5.xx is for V2 pedals V7.xx is for universal joystick firmware, all settings unlocked. We don't provide support for this firmware and it is intended only for advanced users and cockpit builders !

Is your Motherboard a X570 x Gaming? Old or newer? Firmware up to date? If it is a X570 x Gaming, most of my issues from Joystick issues came because of this Motherboards USB ports. I had to install a internal PCIE USB port Controller to solve my conflicts. But I don't think this is a issue for you after all this time. Best of luck to you. Also make sure your Power Supply is not under powered with the new gear added. Thank You I did and was told it could not be reproduced My Random System Failures is not Checked I sent the mission the TRK file and a log file but I think it must of been the wrong log file. I did a Clean install going from Standard Version to Beta Version. Both Stand alone Versions not Steam. To this day The mission in question on my Computer will start 3 to 4 times with only 1 AI plane at start. I have the conditions set to End the mission when this happens but according to Tech. They have no issues starting it every time with 2 AI planes and it works fine for them so I have just gave up on it. Thank You.

Can someone tell me if SNAP VIEWS can work in VR. Then Hold my hand and tell me the walkthrough procedure for making them work. I already know how to make the SNAP VIEWS and have them made and key bound, They just don't work in VR. When I am out of VR they work fine. WHY? because I am 66 years old and cant turn my head around 180 like an OWL to see bad guys on my 6 that keep smoking my old ass. Trick IR can do it so WHY THE F not in VR lol remember I'm a grumpy old guy.

Go in game setting in the Plane. ***NOTE*** will not work in VR no idea if it works with Track IR. Once in game in the cockpit setting on the tarmac not moving. Use a combination of keys to move the Camera to the position in the picture. To move a camera Forward RShift+RCtrl+* on the NUMPAD Move backwards RShift+RCtrl+/ NUMPAD Move Down RShift+RCtrl+2 NumPad Move up RShift+Ctrl+8 NumPad Turn Left is just 4 Numpad Turn Right 6 NumPad 1,3,7,9, are Up Left and Right Down left and Right So after your in Position with the Camera You Tap hit the Key bind for a Snap View on the NumPad by Tap hitting LEFT Win NUMPAD 1,or2or3or4or6or7or8 NOT 5 that one recenters the snap view THEN when you tap hit your selected key you hit RIGHT ALT NUMPAD 0 ZERO to save it to the tap hit keys you just picked to save it to. DCS just saved the new Snap View to that selected LeftWIN+NUMPAD# you picked.so hit 5 NUMPAD to center your view then hit/HOLD Lwin+NumPad# and it will now change to the saved camera view. If I did not explain it well just look up DCS Snap Views on YouTube.

Yes The Collective does move with the Cockpit collective stick my X 56 Rhino Throttle had twice the movement at takeoff lift giving me far more input control then the Thrustmaster and Thank you My settings are just like yours. I really appreciate the info on the Throttle lights as I am not using TARGET and had no Idea they only work with that software. So if I pull the throttle back towards me to the point of my nose just starts to spin move from torque I then only have 1 1/8 " of throw in the stick for usable control that makes the Huey liftoff and set down I have also did this with both side of the throttle sticks left and right and they both act the same. Thank You Very much for your help I do feel better about the lights now. I just need to work with the amount of input throw to get use to it.

I have the same problem with my UH-1 flight not willing to use rockets on ships HE in a Huey (working on it) not sure about Mossies. I would think if you have set ROE to Weapons Free for both Ship and Mossies and to insure the Mossies live make them invulnerable that alone would give them the ability to attack. If not try a Set task in the mission editor with a F-10 Radio item added to attack Group 1 or Ship 1 then same for Group 2 Ship 2 with the Radio menu F-10 If you need some of the Mossies to get hit add more without the Invulnerable tag. I have never done this with a Mossie so keep that in mind I don't want to give the impression I know this will work. I have done this with other units and I seam to always get it to work. Make the Mossies ACE or VETERAN in skill.

A long time ago you use to be able to have a Cargo truck pull up stop Drop off cargo then drive off. I loved doing that for Sling loading for my HUEY. Late activation was wonderful and then they removed it from the Mission Editor. It has never been put back in. It hurts to think they don't see the value of this ability or just no clue to its value. I hear the above statement but just how long will it take? Lots of big improvements all the time so I tend to keep it to myself thinking some day some day some day.

Thanks I will Try that but I am new to the Thrustmaster ownership and 2 days ago I just realized My Brand NEW Warthog Throttle is Defective. It has 5 LED lights that should light up when the Throttle is moved. Mine are not working no matter how far you move it forward, Maybe something else is not operating correctly so I have a Ticket in with Thrustmaster as it is under Warranty and it is Brand New and it is Defective.

I have it inverted with no curvature, I'm at a loss I've used the Trustmaster calibration program it reports it as normal.

Glad it helped Remember this Tip because if you ever get in a VR cockpit and you lean forward and the cockpit moves with your head instead of just your head position moving this will fix that problem too.

I have a G2 and never had this problem. If you have done my next advice tip I am at a loss. So if you have not done it yet. Open WMR go to Settings and then go to Environment and Clear the data from it. Shut down WMR and restart it and go into the game and see if it helped. If you have this problem in just DCS and not other VR games I am at a loss. If it is in all VR games maybe your head is crooked lol Sorry I don't know what is wrong.
