Hey Thank You for your Reply Big Help I am working on getting Your message Items for a DCS Profile in Radeon Software and Windows Setup Tonight. SO my Question to you is have you done anything with the Radeon Software under SETTINGS - Devices : Steam VR Integration ENABLE Option? I Did this but had some kind of G2 headset (Old Cable) Black scree then reboot issue startup on me NOT sure if That did it but After enabling it WMR screen was not useable locked up and not responding. It is now Disabled but I can not find any info on this option in the software. I understand the Wireless device Radeon (ReLive) can do but this looks to be for Wired Connected VR headsets. I still need to install the FSR GetHub file for Steam OpenVR for DCS install. It is late and I'm stopping here tonight but You have been a big help I used the Video link you added and fallowed that tonight. Thanks Again. I am so Shocked at the 3 8pin Separate POWER cables needed for this card. I need to order Pretty Extensions now the stock cables are so bad looking POWER PLANTS have less cables running into them than my GPU does now. I understand the 1000W Power supply now. -

I just got a Power Color RX 6900 XT Red Devil with a 1000w PS and will be going with new 64g Corsair Memory 3600mhz 2x32 on a x570 Gaming x Bios Current Version. I have at this point in time a 3950x AMD CPU my VR is the G2. I have been a life long Nvidia user BUT don't want to give them any of my money anymore so I got the Radeon. Do You Guys Install the Software or just the Drivers. Nvidia I only installed the Drivers. Did You use DDU to remove the GPU drivers before the Install? I do Video editing too so What about the Encoder issue I think I understand AMD Radeon does not have. Any issues or problems I need to know about? I fly the UH-1 Huey all the time so I'm low to the ground all the time and I am hoping to have a way better VR going from a 2080 TI 12g Factory OC card. I hate turning things to low I want the Juice of HIGH settings. What a dream DCS is in VR. Man it's hard to run. -
How hard is it to find this Phone Number? I have a G2 it's the old type Cable.

I have the X56 H.O.T.A.S. but I do not use the Program that came with it. I Do have to plug the Throttle into the back USB port all by its self (With Keyboard and mouse are too)then plug the stick into the front USB and I had to add a Internal USB PCIe Card and I plug the Peddles into it. Lol a 3 ring circus but it works in DCS and Works very Good then But that's the only way it works. Someday I'll upgrade... On my System the throttle just does not play well with the other devices Like it is a Power Sucking hog and it starts glitching out. if I don't plug them in this way. It don't like the PCIe Plugs and It don't like the Front USB Plugs. and It don't like the stick and peddles plugged in next to it. It's kind of a Deva Device. Try Not plugging in your Stick and Peddles and just the throttle and see if it works then. Good Luck. The X56 is a Problem causing setup but when it works its as good as I need it to be.

Binding Settings Keep Changing
DishDoggie replied to tuffysdad's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
I have had a this happen to me. I use the clear column say for the Stick then set it up then save it. Then do the same for the Throttle and Peddles. When I go back to them I have cross unit settings for all 3 devices like engine throttle setup on the Stick Throttle and Peddles and hat view settings set the same for all 3. I started doing this. I clear every thing one at a time for each Stick Throttle and Peddles. Till Each is Blank Then Set them Up. It sucks it takes so long to do. I stopped using that clear all in that column. It saves mine and does not add the crap I don't want back in them. I always Figured I am doing it wrong and I just can't get it right so To bad for me. I honestly Do not know if it is my Brand of H.O.T.A.S. unit Being the Problem. I Have a X56 Rhino Stick Throttle and Peddles. What Brand is Yours? -
I understand it takes awhile when a new Item / Map / Airfields are added to get to the point that when you ATC request Navigation assistance or landing they are set up to answer back. Will you ever make the Ships with landing pads answer back when requesting landings? Oil Platforms too? The Ships answer back now when you give the Navigation assistance and Inbound Call but have No Answer for Request Landing. Oil Platforms have Zero ability's

Awesome Now do it in the FOG
-
I made a repetitive loop back on timer activated once every 60 seconds in a Mission that will sound horns for ships in the fog. I used the Handy Wind with 3 Moving Zones linked to it. Then when you fly into the 1st zone called Far you get the first horn 2 blasts then it goes into the loop back. As long as you are in the Far Zone you will hear the horns low volume Far away going off 2 blasts every 60 seconds. When you enter into the Next Zone Medium it shuts off the 1st far horns turns on the 2nd Medium Horns then same thing loops back between 2 Repetitive conditions every 60 seconds. The 3rd zone is setup the same way using the same repetitive conditions looping between each other every 60 seconds sounding one two blast of the horns. I've never seen anyone do this or make a Mission Editor Tutorial on the Use of a Loop Back on Timer condition. In this video is the loop backs in action. I will post my mission soon and you can look at the Mission editor actions and conditions. I got the job done BUT. remember It is a single player Training mission for me to get better at using the radio to contact units for navigation assistance to them in the fog by use of my Compass Only. Old School low Tech way to do it but I'm wanting to us the Compass for this in low visibility for my training. Also I am using the "PLAY SOUND TO ALL" for Handy Wind and for the Oliver Hazard Perry I'm using a Radio Transmission on AM 116. I don't like doing this but I am limited to playing more then one sound file at a time unless split up this way. It's kind of a cool Idea and could be used for other things in a mission other then Sound files. I put trigger messages on each action for testing so I know when a trigger is working for troubleshooting broken actions and conditions. It's a easy way to find thing during testing. Have you ever Used something like this Repetitive Loop Back On a Timer or seen this done in some way? I think it's kind of cool and unique. I have them set up to go off when flying into the zones Far1st Medium2nd Close3rd then Close1st Medium2nd Far3d. when leaving the zones.

CasmoTV has a Video he made and in it he talks about the startup of the Apache. Check it out at about 29:00 min he said the startup is fast BUT it's all the system setup and sensors that take all the time and that the Flir can take up to 20min to warm up to give a good quality picture. He was a Apache Pilot. The Video I'm talking about is called. DCS Helicopter Tutorial- Formation techniques and general set up. At 29:00 in the Video I enjoyed it. I don't want to offend anyone by putting a link in this post without permission so search YouTube for CasmoTV then the Video: DCS Helicopter Tutorial- Formation techniques and general set up. around 29:00.

UnhookCargo Event? How do I detect unhooked cargo?
DishDoggie replied to cfrag's topic in Mission Editor
Yes sorry I wasn't sure I understood your request but other then to say it does detect unhooked cargo in the drop off zone. You say: So I wrote a mission where I dynamically spawn nice, juicy and beautiful cargo to transport across DCS world, That is the part I don't understand. (because I'm Stooped lol) If each cargo has a name Static Cargo-1 Static Cargo-2 Static Cargo-3 and each zone is named Cargo Drop Zone-1 Cargo Drop Zone-2 Cargo Drop Zone-3 I'm thinking it would work. Thanks and Best of luck to you. -
Can you still use the AI ON AI OFF function for this need? Truth is I have never used it and don't even know if it is still in the Mission Editor but if It is I would try that.

UnhookCargo Event? How do I detect unhooked cargo?
DishDoggie replied to cfrag's topic in Mission Editor
This will be a 1 Cargo 1 ZONE setup : 1st Zone size (xxxx large) When the smoke at drop off can be seen by the size of the zone. 1st zone I will call: Cargo Drop Zone-1 ........ I think the Game wants to see this ZONE NAME "CARGO DROP ZONE" If you had more zones us the -1 -2 -3 like Cargo Drop Zone-3 Zone setup 1 Once Trigger event CONDITION: UNIT INSIDE ZONE ...... unit: Static UH-1H cargo-1 ..... zone: Cargo Drop Zone-1 ACTION: (Anything you want) LIKE: Message to Group : You Are Clear To Drop Off Cargo at Red Smoke Marker And for fun we will add a FLAG ON 30 also. 1 Once Trigger event CONDITION: CARGO UNHOOKED IN ZONE .... unit: Static UH-1H cargo-1 .... zone: Cargo Drop Zone-1 .... FLAG TRUE 30 ACTION: (Anything you want) LIKE Message To Group: Cargo Unhooked You are Clear To Go or Flag event or Sound To Group. ALSO My Mission is now Auto hooking the cargo up to my Huey without me pushing any button it will also AUTO unhook the Cargo in the zone when on the ground. This must be new. Or something I have not yet understood. I'm Okay with it. I can still Manually do it too. -
I haven't looked in the manual for any of this info give it a look and see if it has anything to help https://milviz.com/Online_products/Manuals/UH-1H_Flight_Manual.pdf
-
I've noticed this in single player missions if you set on a ship to long that's moving. I have not looked into it. I am wondering if the Huey can be linked to the Ship in the Mission editor for the start of the mission. That should stop the slide. But you would need to start on the ship to take off and it would only work for that one ship If this could be done.

NOTE: I am posting the link to the OPERATOR’S MANUAL ARMY MODEL UH-1H/V HELICOPTERS HEADQUARTERS, DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY 15 FEBRUARY 1988 To help unhappy people understand it came from a official Department of the Army Manual. https://milviz.com/Online_products/Manuals/UH-1H_Flight_Manual.pdf

I thought there is a dropdown list in the ME you set the join condition with so when set up right they have to ask the Pilot to take control and if you as pilot do not give them permission then they can not take control. I have never used it. I have only seen videos of pilots giving permission to Copilot to take control of the Huey on YouTube.

So I have one in my mission called Drop Zone - 1 it never smoked for cargo drops till now. I did nothing to the zone or code before or after. Just started working on it's own. It's nice it did. Just wondering why after testing the mission now for the 100th time. BINGO it's working. Thank You Cargo Smoke Drop Zone Fixer Person. Or blind luck?...please do the same for my Lotto Numbers.

Lol Sorry I am from Gerald R Ford's Time line in history. I was in the USAF Presidential Honor Guard Washington DC Bolling AFB. Around Ford and Carter. President Ford was very Clumsy and fell down a lot it was a well known joke at the time. SNL Chevy Chase did a lot of G.R. Ford skits back in the day. LOL that's how OLD I AM.

They Tried doing the Gerald R Ford....It kept running into everything and falling on it's side.

It does the fact is my first attempts to try to fly in the fog was crash city till I got the thickness of the fog turned down to a more comfortable level.
