  1. If it's possible. What would be a good implementation of MOOSE scripting, that would command mobile artillery units? That are traveling via waypoints, to hold and start firing at a point, group or a zone automatically once they've traveled to within weapons range? I'm putting together a mission, and using MOOSE "spawn random template at random point within a random zone". I have the random templates set to travel to the primary objective when and if they're spawned. I would like for the spawned groups to stop and start shelling the targets once that group is within fire range, I'm trying to keep it random. Would be really nice if they could push/hold/shell/push--------rinse and repeat.

  3. Would be handy to have a trigger for ground units, (i.e. MLRS and other fairly long range artillery that don't have to have a visual). That would instruct a unit, or a group as a whole maybe based on the unit with the shortest weapon range. That would trigger units, to automatically stop along their route and begin firing toward a set zone or group, once in range of that target, not having to have a visual on the tgt. In order to keep from having to use advanced scripting, or a lot of stacked triggers and flags. If this function already exists, I apologize for the post, but I can't find anything that simplifies the function.
  4. So about the estimated coverage area of the Patriot STR. And, the radar body being static, not sweeping 360 deg. Do I need to add 4 search/track radars to one single Patriot site? Or, do you have to place 4 separate full sites in order to cover all 360 deg? Or, do you use an EWR in conjunction with the Patriot site, to perform the initial detection and pass it to the Patriot STR to take over? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I don't know how it should be, and I want to learn to do it right. Thanks for any help.

  8. I see the (attach trailer) option in advanced wp actions, but no trailer options. Is towing available yet or just waiting for trailer models?

  12. @Tiger-II IMO the AV-8 mod is pitiful, between the fight with sensor slewing not working right whether using hat switch or axis, the interior night lighting being complete junk, weird tpod drift, etc. , it's painful to think that I paid full price for the mod, seeing as it's been in action since 2017 and it's still this buggy, and actually has more problems now compared too 3 years ago when I bought it!
  13. Well, I was able to get it to track, somewhat anyway, by assigning my TDC slew to an axis instead of a hat switch, which makes no sense to me. But the axis slew is so "buggy" that it's a constant fight. It's either way to fast or barely moving, and when I try to slew full speed (moving ministick to max range) it doesn't even slew. I've tried tuning it a few different ways, but it's always extreme movement. This is including the tgt pod, maverick or the dmt. The undesignate function doesn't do anything for me except make the soi jump around to points that have no association with my flight. I tried to reassign my TDC to my hat switch but when I did, the tgt pod constantly drifted. Also, one of the test flights I did, I set to night time. I set my mfds to (night) and I couldn't even see them, it was just black screens, even when I turned up the brightness. Except when I switched to ehsd page, then it was blinding, I have to adjust every page, every time I select it. This is the only module I have issues with stuff like this. I know this topic was about the targeting pod, but I've found so many other issues with the module while trying to figure out the moving track problem. I'm just gonna write it off. It's been around for a few years, so I figure it's not going to get any better, for me anyway. Thanks for responding to the post and trying to help me out @zildac@Ramsay@Spurts

  16. Is there a reason the targeting pod refuses to track moving targets?!? Perfect contrast, slow moving target still nothing. I've got it to track once for about 100', until I crashed into the target seeing I was a quarter mile away from it before it even started tracking.
  17. So I made a fox hunt mission with mixed ground radars spawning randomly and in random locations. I've noticed that when I have them set to late activation, they're never detected on the RWR in my aircraft. I've set alarm state too RED, but nothing detected, can't get any detection with the HARM sensors nor the F-16 HTS pod. Is this normal?
  18. Strange @Lordvader, it seems like it's doing it mainly when I'm in motion. I've tried with and without mods enabled. And I don't have any weather graphic or A-10 mods installed.
  19. BTW @btd, is there supposed to be a "sounds" folder in my \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta folder? I've always installed my past sound mods by adding them too my \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\resource folder.
  20. Yes, @Nadel, that did help a little, thanks for the tip. But, still having problem selecting items when not zoomed way in, and it's not on any particular item, it just happens with random ones. I've even had to delete and replace items, because i can't drag and relocate them, it's a little bit of a nuisance, but could be worse i guess.

  22. Was wondering if there is an .sdef file for the throttle lever going over the detent in the F-16? I'm wanting to make the detent click a little louder, I use the audible detent click as a reference a lot. Was hoping there was a file for the effect, and that someone might know the the directory path too it, because I can't find it.
  23. These assets along with the HDS mod, are awesome. Since I stumbled across them, they are a must for every mission I layout. It would be so great if ED could pick them up. Thanks to everyone involved, for sharing your hard work.
