  1. I'm so happy the weather-forecast says rain for 12 days :D
  2. They made a business model for people who are willing to pay to get rid of ads while browsing content. Makes sense - there are people who are willing to pay for this. Some people doesn't want to pay - makes sense as well. Too bad we can't watch it later though, looks like the subscriber content contains content all the way back to early 2011. Doesn't look like they will ever open it up for free view. Ah well, we got youtube. ;)
  3. It's ED you need to convince, with some good documentation. If you're able to contribute, perhaps you could dig up some of the links, pdf, or books references? :)
  4. Yes, the A10C World update is still beta - but quite stable considered the status.
  5. hehe good landing - you came back in one piece ;)
  6. You must be using the same version-number to be able to fly online, yes. MP and data from one PC to another relies on having the same format - and it changes a bit between versions. So your buddie and can choose to stay on the old version. Or both of you gents of can choose use DCS World. (The serial is the requirement for using DCS A10C - not steam vs DVD vs downloads). Or both - you can keep a separate install of the old version - and install DCS World in another directory.
  7. I'll send off a PM to support to see if they are aware that you haven't received any attention.
  8. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=12&end_pos=135&lang=en At the bottom of the page you should find it.
  9. Noticed the scope of the topic changed again, so I moved it over here for now. Nice cockpits! Give me a hint if you want it back into mods & apps - if it still is a mod-request challenge.
  10. The sound inside the cockpit from that episode - just wow. I have wondered many times if this sound is unique for the Lightning or it is something we're missing out on in the FC/DCS/3'rd party family.
  11. Fuel (hence patience) is way cheaper than a airframe and pilot-training. Patience and skillful observing, a skillful wingman with good S/A will give you the edge you need if you put it too good use. That and some time to react (a little bit of altitude) if the worst things should happen. This may not always be the case with the AI wingmen which quite often can do silly things.
  12. ED have their own sources which they rely on. Nothing will be tweaked until they have official documentation which supports your claim. So with that, if you can find some ARR or other documents of P51D taking damage from .50 cals would probably go a long way. PS; wikipedias is not regarded as trustworthy info.
  13. Sorry, I or someone else must have dropped this thread off in the wrong subforum. Moved again.
  14. Time to pre-order you new two seater cockpit! ;)
  15. Hello Warrior and welcome to the community. o7 TrackIR is certainly a game changer isn't it. I know I shouldn't - but I'll do it anyway: TM Warthog Hotas is another gamechanger. I hope you get the chance to test it some day. I can't say how X65 compares unfortunately. Not sure if any real time A-10 hog drivers hang about anymore, they are probably busy with other things. And anyone who fly these things wants to be anonymous anyway, so we can't really tell. Not going to speculate on that anyway. As for teaching you the ropes - let me suggest a couple of things. - Get hold of TS3 and Ventrillo - coice chat. Most MP folks use these to do live com ingame while they train & fly. - Go have a look down at the Squadron directory. I shouldn't really give you any hints on which squad to look up, but any of them actively flying the A-10C. If I start mentioning names, some other will bash me for forgetting to mentioned them - so I'll refrain :p PS, all NEWBS are welcome, we've all been newbs at some stage - it's good to get some fresh blood who introduce themselves. Hope to see you in the skies some day. o7
  16. Now thats a great first time reaction, love hearing these stories. I'm sure ED are too. Thanks for sharing :)
  17. With a CBU 97. :D Well, it can happen on quite a few bridges, some have been correctly reported in the respective bug forums and fixed over time - but it seem to be a problems which needs to be dealt with per bridge. Quite a few places remain though. I've dealt with the problem by either: - Find a suitable river to cross and go offroad. - Smaller columns of units, sending them across at different times. - Make sure I never used the bridge ...
  18. Looks cool, no doubt. The big question is, does it have AFM?
  19. OT derail moved for others to enjoy over at: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1497336&postcount=2904 No need for me to repeat why it didn't belong here ;)
  20. "Connection interrupted" can mean many things ... to identify it you really needs logs. You'll get connection interrupted even if kicked / banned. With a failed IC as well. And bugs. And poor connections. Hm, I'm sure there are more reasons. Most common issue though: - You're dropped due to poor connection between you and the server which is hosting. It's the loss of "UDP packages" in the session - leading to a drop. Workaround & tests: - Wait for better IPS/inet at another hours, recheck - try using a friends (neighbors - ask for permission) inet to recheck. "started to happen out of the blue" ... sound most likely to be intermittent ISP/internet issues indeed.
  21. Your DCS-logs should point us in the right direction, unfortunately these are missing from the OP and others, as well as the missions themselves. Regardless, there's been a few of these issues reported and fixed. Normally they are related to broken objects staying in the mission - breaking the ME and actions for other objects.
  22. LOMAC should stay in a separate directory - never mix it with new products. It staying in the x86 is ok.
  23. :megalol: I just laughed so hard that I dropped a brick in my pants. Ahhh hold your horses, accidental sprayed the cockpit & canopy. Need to redo all the screenshots of the cockpit! Allright, start rewriting the content-table again please.
  24. As for ideas & intentions, this is very good news indeed. Still, always keep in the back of my mind, "Plans tend to change over time". Regardless of DCS:Grunts & Ducks What comes, comes. What doesn't ... doesn't. We still get new toys to play with in the future - and so, the only thing being certain is the digital copy you download and install from the webshop ;) (except when the testers forgot to check out MP with 32bit WinXP that is ... shame on you Nate! *wink-wink* j/k)
