  1. DO NOT RUN THE EXE. I uploaded the ZIP. McAffee, Microsoft and some of the other dumps a warning on this one. Stay away for your own health and safety. It may be a false positive, but I don't like what I see.
  2. Take the .exe, swing by https://www.virustotal.com, upload it there for a check on all antivirus vendors. Then you may get a better idea if it's a false positive or something to be concerned of.
  3. @Home Fries, I think you have a minor issue in the "SnapsView.lua" from SnapViews Classic Default v227.zip for SnapViews["F-86F Sabre"] Array member 14 for VR is out of membership, lines 1677 to 1688 [13] = {--default view viewAngle = 85.000000,--FOV hAngle = 0.000000, vAngle = -7.591541, x_trans = -0.053361, y_trans = -0.066925, z_trans = 0.000000, rollAngle = 0.000000, }, } <---------- THIS SNEAKY CRITTER [14] = {--default view - VR viewAngle = 85.000000,--FOV hAngle = 0.000000, vAngle = -7.591541, x_trans = -0.053361, y_trans = -0.066925, z_trans = 0.000000, rollAngle = 0.000000, }, }, }
  4. Hi. Looking at the dxdiag and logs seems you still have the DX symptoms. However your Nvidia drivers looks all good, updated. Just curious as the BIOS date seems to be from 2010, most likely not relevant but seems rather old. The CPU was released in 2009 I see. Hence curious. :) As for carpet-bombing any DX11 issues perhaps a few more things you can do. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/556/ The DX on your Windows may be a bit out of whack due to software issue or you may have some sort of hardware quirk. HW issue is less likely so let's try repairs & software updates. - Any active Overlays such as TS/Claw/Discord - make sure you DISABLE them. - Other software interacting with DX should be disabled. The steps from the FAQ: 3. Drivers for Video and Sound devices should be Updated from manufactures website Aka: DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer (DXwebsetup):https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/Download/confirmation.aspx?id=35 5. How to use sfc /scannow (see the FAQ) Then if the above fails: Reinstall of the C++ (2005, 2012 and 2017) as well as doing a full run of MS Windows Updates after is rather important as you will get the latest updates for those C++ libraries. I'm not entirely which C++ libraries you need, but during my own install I noticed both the 2005, 2012 and 2017 libraries being installed on my Windows 10. Having both x32 and x64 editions of the libraries may be required. I can dig up the download links from Microsoft if you go down this course of troubleshooting.
  5. Perhaps you could bring us a copy of the DCS-logs from C:\User\<you>\Saved Games\DCS I'm not entirely sure whats going on either. I could try to reproduce the issue on my end, but I'm not sure whether you want to share those files if they are of a sensitive nature for your channel. You could of course try to reach out to Support, create a ticket. But it may take a few days for support and you to work this out. And  for you guys hosting those impressions & videos, loving them. Big thank you.
  6. Same for normal version of DCS World outside of Steam. I suspect this is a non-issue since we have the FC3 license and can fly the planes regardless.
  7. Could be you're in 'active pause' - used for training. LWin+LShift+Pause
  8. From the previous post it seems you have a problem with the audio, DCS is not able to connect and use the default sound device it seems. I would consider to check Windows sounds settings, "test playback" the default playback device. Should work as expected. Then update drivers for the Realtek audio device you're using if possible at the vendor site. (Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.) Also I noticed that your Windows update reported update failure, so try to complete the Windows update and consequent reboots required. After that you could also bring up device-manager, find the sound device, bring up properties and use the "update / check for drivers online". This has been a requirement in Windows 10 for certain devices, not sure if you have the same effect in Windows 8.
  9. I wont be able to sleep until I'm in the pit. Too much excitement! Awesome work, thank you Heatblur, ED & Testers.
  10. I understand what you're saying, I can understand the resource situation, we know how tight it usually is. However if you leave a request in Mantis it may be evaluated for later versions, especially if they revamp the UI again for a new version down the road. At least they receive a notification of the suggestion then :)
  11. SithSpawn: The findings could point to the fact that it would be nice to get a 'VRam usage' indicator in the Option-section. When the user changes options, a sum total estimate could keep an eye out for overcommit. I've seen some titles out there in the industry do this to prevent users from having to be a technician to be able to figure this out by themselves. GTA5, Arma-series and a few more have such a tool in the settings. Having to use a 3'rd party tool is a indicator that this is a needed feature within the options. Perhaps you could forward such a request? :)
  12. You can read more about it here, follow what c0ff is replying to. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104441&page=2
  13. duly noted, thanks. Su-33 wingman is not the smartest cookie... AI CFIT - or how to abduct an AI
  14. "cant connect error" What does the logs show? C:\Users\<you>\Saved Games\DCS\Logs
  15. Dagger, you had started two more threads on the subject. They have been removed. Please no redundant threads please.
  16. Please have a look here, this is the statement you may need: Sticky: YouTube Adverts and DCS Videos
  17. There are a couple of trick you could try. 1. Older / failed installs may have correct settings. Clean out the "C:\Users\<the user>\Saved Games\DCS" to get rid of corrupted settings and try again. 2. Run the DCS updater, to check if you received the latest patches. 3. Reinstall DirectX and the Visual Studio 20xx C++ libraries - and then run Windows Update to receive the updates for those packages again. And please check \Saved Games\DCS\Logs for any other logs - there may be some clues there as well.
  18. Just to clarify on this for later request. It depends on what version ED built the products on. Some products may be built on older compilers and may require the older 2008 C++ libraries. (DLL-hell). The 2010 DLL contains the same features as 2008, but it doesn't have the same signature. 2010 can only be used if you have compiled your products towards the 2010 DLL's.
  19. Yes please create a ticket, I cannot see which procedure which would help you when the serial isn't recognized.
  20. 1. Use this procedure to clear the Serial from registry. Sticky: Activation failed with "invalid hardware code"? 2. If it says it's a invalid serial after that use this procedure, start BS2 again and it should be okai:
  21. Pizzicator, I moved this over to the DCS World - the AI share the same code-base as World, and there seem to be a few loose ends regarding the AI these days.
  22. Start multiplayer, it should start the activation wizard for BS1.
  23. Remove the files from C:\Users\<youruser>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\<theAircraft> and it's back to defaults.
