My advice is to stay away from Dell.. Build your own, at least you'll be sure of what you've got in there... And you'll have a much better system.. You'll need to do your home work though.. check the forums and see what everyone is using and after you understand things more clearly go do some comparison on line shopping to get the best prices... And just so you know there are plenty of virtual pilots here to help with all the questions you'll have... ~S~ Blaze

The way it appears I don't think that well see this anytime soon, there's not even any ground textures or actual in game screen shots. So they re not even in the alfa stage.... I wouldn't worry about upgrades regarding this one.. I'm convinced that BS will be here well before Fighter Ops.. Its probably better to wait until the release to see what actually runs well .... ~S~ Blaze

Well I was able to get all of the necessary buttons programed via the options function of the game.. The book is really very long and complicated , I began reading it but got distracted.. I've just recently gone back to trying to get into programing Foxy.. As I'm thinking of other things (besides what I have programmed) that I'd like the HOTAS to do.... ~S~ Blaze

This is actually quite disturbing.. If Iran is as equipped as this little bit of propaganda reveals... Then the US will have a big job to try and defeat these guys.. Ok I've contacted one of the more knowedegable guys here to look into your problem... But I just notice one thing ... Your running a 7800 GTX which is somewhat respectable, but using Force ware 84.56.. Why not try out some newer drivers like 97.92.. this might help.. But Lock On is more CPU dependent then GPU, so I don't expect to much here.. I think the issue ly's some where in the way that your CPU is set up, so hopefully we'll get you sorted out soon enough.. :thumbup: Blaze

I was just reading some of the posts over at Frugals regarding F/O... There's a lot going on with this, but they're still a long ways from release ... And when its finally finished, the initial sim wont be combat oriented, it'll be a trainer to prepare for the combat simulator, which is planned for a later release.. What a novel idea... :) Blaze

Force feed back isn't supported by ED at this time, So that could be the reason why you can't get it to work here ... Have you been successful with any other applications? If not you might try googling for different drivers.. That worked for me when I was using a MS Stick, back in the day.. ~S~ Blaze

Well if you don't have any board experience I would recommend unsoldering the wires and soldering them to the points on the new switch... I have changed some of the buttons on my Cougar and I've modded the stick as well as the throttle... But.... I've worked in the aviation industry for quite a while and have a lot of practice.. If you're a nuube, I wouldn't recommend tackling this as my first job.... You're better off taking this to a TV repair guy and see if he can help you... But if you still want to do it on your own PM me and I'll try to walk you through it..... ~S~ Blaze

I'm sorry to hear about your trouble.. I looks at least to me that you are sincere about this .. So as far as I'm concerned its Ok... Then again I wasn't actually affected by this personally... Actually I had McAfee for several years and just recently Installed Norton on my new system... Well McAfee was getting to be harder to deal with and was taking renewals right out of my bank account without asking ... As far as Norton was concerned they seemed to be a little better then McAfee but still weren't where they should be for the price they were asking.. So they both had to go, and I've since installed Stop Sign which has been doing a much better job then the anything I've used so far... But speaking about Vista isn't the MS software that came with the O/S any good ?? And its free as well?? ~S~ Blaze

One thing more.... I've actually forgotten how to unhide flights in the mission builder.. Well in my case the armament was mistakenly deleted, and I never bothered to fix it because I thought at the time that it wasn't really important.. So I've recently gone back to flying the mission and have realized that the deleted missiles are actually important... So how do I show the hidden flight again to correct the problem.. Its been a while since I've created the mission and haven't recently done any building so I've forgotten... ~S~ Blaze
