  2. +1 Such a small thing has a big impact on immersion, doesn't it?
  3. What makes you think we (as in non-developers contracted to work with ED) are privy to that process? :)
  4. Ah, thank you. I was about to ask that very question.
  5. Unbelievable. I think that's the best implementation of motion for flight I've ever seen. Thanks for this last video - this really brings it all home for me. I think I need this to be part of my life - right now. :)
  6. Great showcase of something that DCS really would benefit from! Thanks for sharing.
  7. Check this and ensure it's set to English (US) - bottom left corner of the forum:
  8. This just means that the login has timed out and you'll need to re-authenticate.
  9. I never managed it myself, but maybe others have/can? Dunno.
  10. For that reason, and the lack of FC3 aircraft separate wallpapers and missions, I ended up purchasing all available FC3 modules individually, and uninstalling FC3.
  11. I agree. I never understood why ED hasn't implemented the option for NTTR campaigns to emulate the equipment to keep score of simulated kills as they do during the real Red Flag (or other training scenarios) out there. So you kill/get killed but keep flying to actually learn something during those missions and campaigns. Getting shot down and having to start over isn't realistic for such NTTR scenarios to begin with, and doesn't really lend itself to learning tactics and maneuvers in the air, and thus can get frustrating rather quickly. For me, that's a missed opportunity and would really enhance the whole NTTR experience.
  12. So why not trim accordingly right after take off, and/or use the ATT Hold channel as needed for stable flight? Also, what is your rotate and wheels-up speed respectively?
  13. There has to be somewhat of a center to have the stick return to it when you let go of the grip, unless that's a non-issue. I believe that VKB HQ plans on designing a different cam variant, aimed at space games based on player feedback, but I am not quite sure if it would bring any benefit for us DCS players in that regard...
  14. Some Mig-35 export variant (MiG-29M) would be swell. I mean, who wouldn't want something like that in DCS:
  15. Practice, practice, practice. ;) Also, 250 seems a little slow, so you might watch your sink rate as to not slam her down onto the tarmac. And, you need to trim the nose down right after take off quite a bit. Another tidbit - use the ATT Hold channel a lot - it helps. What you describe is just how the PFM (professional flight model) works, based on the real 29. Maybe you enjoyed the previous far more simplistic SFM better?
  16. ... and the engine sound. Please replace the current engine sound with something better. Thanks. :)
  17. Thanks for sharing. Those tales from the horses mouth are always enlightening, yet sadly far and few between. About punching out - I read some time ago that it also compresses your spine quite a bit, and from what I understood a active pilot could only punch out twice until they we no longer allowed to fly because of that very issue. Curious if there are concerns about potential hacking and malware attacks for these highly integrated planes that might not be able to fall back onto more analog means if somethings goes really wrong. (This also is a potential issue for surveillance equipment that's going to eventually replace radar like ADS-A/B, as during tests "hackers" could inject false targets into those displays, etc).

    YES !!

You might want to try the Ka-50 Quick Start mission "Air Support" (or similar to that) on the Normandy map for a reality check. That's always my go to scenario for a whack in the head for my VR setup. ;)
  19. Really happy with ED's direction on self-publishing, so don't change a thing there. On the other hand, a collaboration on engine tech between ED and Laminar Research could be a potential, hypothetical match made in (flight sim) heaven.
  20. Смоделирована ли турбулентность DCS на основе весовой категории самолета, как в реальной жизни?
  21. Coming from the Rift, it's the same for me.
