  1. I believe Wags said that the issue was only recently identified by ED and will soon be fixed. So that's more than good news to me.
  2. @Pac-Man - well said.
  3. I don't mess with posters on the wall, either, but I do turn on the light in the room at night. No issues with tracking whatsoever with my O+.
  4. Also, constant trimming and using ATT HOLD a lot helps.
  5. That's called 'future-proofing' - nothing wrong with that. :) Anyway, looking forward to those new engine improvements hopefully very soon!

+1 Waiting for this as well.
  7. Good find! You'd think that this typo would have some impact on the module if it remains unfixed.
  8. About the newsletter itself: Can we have the classic topic of the email subject revert back to simply "Weekend News" (pretty please)? The last few weeks changed that to some random subject, and today's subject looked really odd in my inbox: "Anton in Air".... I really miss the old "Weekend News" subject.
  9. I know that with Monstertech HOTAS Stands you can adjust the vertical position seamlessly to where you want it, based on their sliding tongue-and-groove system. The same is true for the Table Mounts (Long), and of course for their Sim Rig center mounts (that's what I got):
  10. Been there: I used to have 2x GTX 980TI as well - put together with DCS in mind - and have since sold them towards my current 1080TI. I think I would only ever go back to wanting two GPUs if/when each is used to render one display in any given VR HMD separately, meaning that GPU 1 is dedicated to the left eye, and GPU 2 renders the right eye's display. Not sure if that's even a thing or technically possible, but it sounds like it should be. ;)
  11. @Yurgon - gut gesagt.
  12. +1 And I cannot recommend this enough: If you haven't already done so, grab Andre's JetSeat, install "Sim Shaker for Aviators (SSA)" and the Tomcat comes alive. You can feel the feedback in your butt - literally - and can thus adjust your flying based on what you feel. Until Bergison's "Motion Integrated G Seat" is available to the masses, the JetSeat is the best thing for tactile feedback we have, imho.
  13. From Billy Crusher (ED) over on the RU forums: "This is just a replacement (correction) version number. Files did not change." Source: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3857010&postcount=17934
  14. Andre's Jetseat gives you that 'seat of your pants' tactile feedback.
  15. CNC is slow and expensive, so maybe $800 per each device is the 'low price' they are shooting for, with potential customer buy-in from x-amount of people?
  16. Thanks for sharing; I am very likely getting one of those instead of the Rift S now. But what prompts these devs to go with LCD instead of AMOLED? Is that just to keep the price down?
  17. ... autsch. :music_whistling:
  18. Perfect tracking with two cameras. I had similar good tracking with my Rift CV1 (which only had two base stations). The additional cameras on the Rift S are really meant for improved tracking of the hand controllers.
  19. It's all about training (and getting used to) different gen airframes. Btw - if you haven't done so, do yourselves a favor and get Andre's JetSeat for tactile feedback while flying. The SSA software implementation for the F-14's edge-of-envelope behavior is matched really well with the visible and audible buffeting and shaking the Tomcat provides, and it helps tremendously in-flight!
  20. Well, and for me, coming from the Rift CV1, then having moved to the O+, with it's AMOLED magic (i.e., darker nights and more vibrant colors in DCS, etc), seeing the Rift S with it's back-lit LCD screens would mean even more washed out looking nights in DCS than the original Rift, is really a damn shame.
  21. Fuer Schmalspurspielchen sicherlich interessant... ansonsten wohl kaum.
  22. Very nice... really tempted of getting it. But - my only but - is that after having been spoiled by my O+'s AMOLED displays' deep and rich colors, simple LCD screens seem like a step back (I guess that's to keep the S's price low).
  23. So why not look at the inner ring that displays knots? I find that easier than looking at the outer Mach ring.
