Ah I agree, that's what the third-party reseller should have done to begin with. Wonder why the don't reach out to their customer who bought from them? Good point. Wonder if their distribution agreement with VKB - the manufacturer - needs to be revised if they cannot (or will not) care for their customers? If I were a VKB decision maker, I would ensure that they - if unable to provide support themselves - at least point their customers to the official VKB Technical Support forums for help on their sales invoice and/or terms & conditions page they're required to provide to their customers. I mean, I wonder how third-party vendors handle any warranty request inquiry that might come up?
-
And here I was, thinking that posting here is the additional hoop, while the VKB support forum is the correct place to look for support in the first place, as that's where the VKB developers and engineers are able to help.
-
VKB officially offers a Technical Support forum... why not use that to get official VKB support if the third-party vendor doesn't answer you? That's always a good choice as that forum is monitored by VKB engineers and developers and they usually have excellent insights.

Agreed. For me, I try to match my real hand/grip to that of my DCS pilot's hand/grip and so far I am quite happy with a DCS World Scale (wrongly labeled as IPD) of 48.

When I watched the video some time a go I was wondering the same. From my own guesswork, I'd say it's a cover on a swivel that opens up like a hand fan to maybe protect the seat and/or grip from direct sunlight? Anybody else want to wager a guess? :)

+1 Still waiting... (including pilot bodies for all other DCS modules that currently don't have one).

Today's newsletter subject looks a little odd, compared to the more thoughtful usual subject provided as "Weekend News": But thanks for the info on the A10 cockpit update efforts (as well as the Ka-50) - really looking forward to this!

I would love to see some of those as well with some insight into why certain settings are set a certain way, and hopefully with a hint of realism applied. -

I had that as well, but for me it always raised the Windows taskbar about halfway up the screen outside of DCS. What I did was to lock the taskbar, and now I can work those hard to reach cockpit items again. Also, you might want to run DCS in fullscreen mode, which I believe helps as well (RALT + Enter). Lastly, you might want to ensure that this option is checked:

What makes you assume it's a bug and not our new, forever VR cursor from here on out?

Haengt also alles vom Piloten ab.

 EDIT: She's alive! Thanks f4l0 for integrating the CEII into the SSA app. As usual, I have a question - is there a form of recommendation based on real pilot feedback on how to set up the various values? For me, I always set everything to 100, and then turning off the G-Effect completely (read that somewhere in this forum, but don't know why that's recommended). Of course, everything at 100 might not be the best way to do things, but lacking the deeper insights, here, could we have some fine-tuned profile for jets/props/helos that are closer to reality than - as in my case - setting everything to 100? Thanks! -
I love my O+ as well. Haven't looked back at my Rift since. As I wear glasses, I also got prescription inserts from VROptician.com (made in Germany), and made a silly makeshift strap for wearing it more comfortably (that's the only thing the Rift does better than the O+ -- comfort).

+1 Adding to immersion in DCS is always welcomed.

Exciting times, eh? With the Viper available when the time comes, I can die a happy man. -
-
+1 Such a small thing has a big impact on immersion, doesn't it?
-
What makes you think we (as in non-developers contracted to work with ED) are privy to that process? :)
-
Ah, thank you. I was about to ask that very question.
-
Unbelievable. I think that's the best implementation of motion for flight I've ever seen. Thanks for this last video - this really brings it all home for me. I think I need this to be part of my life - right now. :)
