  1. Well, judging by how many question- and exclamation marks were used in the thread title might require at least a little sarcasm... seriously. ;)
  5. ... said no pilot ever. ;)
  6. Ich denk mal fliegerisch gesehen ist der Huey die puristischste Maschine...
  7. What's there to adjust? The stick clears the TID just fine when pushed fully forward, and I am sure that HB designed it correctly that way - based in input from their SMEs.
  8. +1 to all the above. Also, kudos to f4l0 who programmed the JeatSeat to pretty much provide tactile feedback to match the visual and audible cues the F-14 provides during edge-of-envelope flight (buffeting/shaking). That's the best implementation yet in DCS.
  9. Well, of course the aircraft shouldn't move (in any direction) while connected to ground power. So that's why. :)
:music_whistling:
  11. Well said! I think it's difficult for some to accept things at face value and "how they really were". Most of us, though - I am sure, appreciate HB's (with the the help of SMEs) quality approach to making the F-14 a reality in DCS.
  12. My O+ runs satisfyingly for me based on my specs (sig) - some lower graphics settings in DCS notwithstanding.
  13. Thanks for mentioning this one, as I wasn't aware. Sounds like a nice step-up indeed.
  14. @Sierra99: those little tidbits are exactly what highlights the brilliance and realism and quality of a modul - being able to tie it into some RL experience.
  15. +1 I remember requesting this in general as well, not for any specific aircraft type, just DCS-wide: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=174213
  16. Well said. I am in love as well!
  17. Nothing is a pain, really - just a matter of getting used to our new baby. The training missions are quite helpful as well, to nail some of the parameters down.
  18. Agreed. My next build therefore will have 64GB. Times have changed indeed.
  19. Wrong forum; you should look here: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=584 Latest topic (with latest render) by VKB HQ here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=234227
  20. For me, it's Russian at this time as well, simply because in my "formative simulation years", pretty much everything on offer was western hardware based simulations (albeit not even close to the level of DCS today), so there was a little over saturation and over exposure for me personally on those type of aircraft early on. In DCS today, it's very refreshing to have a glimpse at eastern hardware as well, and so I would totally go for a PFM/ASM-based module of a 4th gen Russian fighter, and my current favorite would be the MiG-35. (Of course, right now DCS makes it possible to fall in love all over again with western planes that were modeled before in the 90s, esp if they are on this high level of fidelity as our Hornet, or the future F-16).
  21. So you'd buy XYZ at Walmart, only to turn around and demand support for XYZ at Target then? And if Target says that's not possible because, you know Walmart =! Target, you'd tell them to their face that they fail to take ownership? ... for a product they didn't even sell? Wow, just wow. What company? If VKBcontrollers.com - then yes. If VKB the manufacturer in China who distributes to third-party vendors unrelated to my own shop? Then no. If X-plane.org, who sells VKB products in their own name to their own customers? Then no. VKBcontrollers.com =! X-plane.org. I only represent the former, not the latter.
  22. Usually some reseller buys direct from VKB HQ in China (under some form of distribution license/agreement), and then sells these products on their own werbshop or Amazon; in most cases in the US it's x-plane.org.
  23. I know, I know it can be a difficult concept to wrap one's head around for someone on the outside looking in: From our FAQ: Note: We do not offer support for purchases made from any third-party retailers who have a distribution/wholesale agreement with VKB (the manufacturer). Such agreement exists between VKB and the respective third-party vendor only, and has nothing to do with the operations of VKB North America (via VKBcontrollers.com). Any support requests for VKB products purchased from a third-party reseller will have to be submitted to (and fielded by) the same retailer that sold the product and issued their sales invoice to you. That said, third party vendors run their own after-sale support for their own customers, and if they cannot offer support, VKB provides help on their forums - you made it sound as if that's a bad thing.
