I originally had press once half, press twice full set up on my hotas until I bound it to an axis, now it can be set in any position. Seems like that covers all three contingencies no? 1 on, off. 2 half, full, off. 3. Completely adjustable positioning. I’m new so maybe missing something? +1 VR opticians. Had my l lenses a couple of weeks now. Fantastic product, great quality and price. Allows me to bring my Index adjustments right up to my eyes giving wider FOV. Crystal clear and $72 bucks US. Highly recommend!

Is there an SRS address available for that server? Tough to fly and type in chat window. Just getting hang of comms so may be non feasible. Thanks

I flip up trigger “guard” on my Virpil stick, goes immediately to guns mode. Just bind in setup.

I would be interested to know exactly what you typed into the search function and in which box. I I have yet to get anything useful out of it with the exception of locating posts from a user name. Must be pretty easy, please explain... Thanks

I almost gave up on the Tomcat but after reading a bunch of posts I went back after it. Take all the curve out of your stick then practice turns. Ease into them at First gradually pulling farther back on the stick but NEVER jerk it. Always gradually and before you know it your turning on a dime like a rocket. This thing can really handle BUT you have to stay off the AOA. If in a turn she starts to buffet, glance down at airspeed, if its slow add power, if its fast she’s telling you to ease off the stick a tad. Once you get the hang of it you’ll never go back. She’s a beast!! There is a “dissimilar aircraft 2v1 mission” with the F14 that pits you against 2 Mirages. I would just spend an hour or so just getting in behind them. Great plane to practice against. Just remember if they get at your six, hammer the burner and go vertical and reset the fight. You will get the hang of it quickly.

Same here. Can’t find and yesterday there were these strange white “beams of white light “ going up into the sky. Totally crashing fps. Hope y’all get it sorted. Lots of fun for a single pilot. Regards

Just received my lens inserts from VR Opticians today for my index. Best 70 bucks I’ve spent (sans the Index itself of course) Perfect clarity and comfort since I no longer have my glasses stuck under the headset. Also allows me to crank in the field of view thingy giving me a very broad view in all 4 directions. Highly recommended if your a glasses wearer like myself. Cheers!

Spent all evening in the Just Dogfight us multiplayer server yesterday. Had a blast. Today, i can open other MP servers but if I go to Just Dogfight my DCS crashes. Great ping, don’t think there was a reason to ban me. Every other server I tried seems to work. Rebooted everything, deleted metashader and fxo. Any thoughts??

Im getting consistently 50-90’fps at 90mhz in both single and multi player. Obviously closer to 50 mp and always above 70 in Single. I honestly think Im limited by the resolution of the panels at this point. Anything I jack up at this point slows it down but does nothing for out of cockpit clarity. Happy with cockpit readability at least in the Tomcat and Hornet. Btw. The interior graphics and clarity of the F15 is amazing! Too bad its not clickable. If Every cockpit was clear like that, yowza!!! Happy flying!

When I run my Index, I have an image of what Im seeing projected on my monitor. Not the whole thing obviously but top to bottom and about the middle third. Wife loves it because she can see whats going on but... Doesn’t the fact that the graphics card has to do both a screen, and headset image use resources? If so, Is there a way to shut that off so I can maybe shift more graphics power to the headset? Input greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I will tell ya what. Situational awareness is a two way street like everything else in VR. If you know who and where the baddie is, or its a VR friendly server where its “flagged” it puts you at an immense advantage in the 3d space. Your brain just projects your orientation on the field of battle in a way that’s unmatched IMO. That said, if I move to a server without flags or labels, forget about it. I spend so much time looking and trying to identify what type of aircraft, If I see it at all then figure out good or bad, that all I end up doing is flying around until I’m hit. I guess It really depends on your objectives. If your flying a big scenario based deal where you know directions, aircraft type plus Awacs and datalink. Your good. Pvp its a tossup without marks or labels I’ll never go 2d tho but thats me. .

Wow kind of extemis but I guess I earned it. To clarify my post and point however, it was not a personal attack on any one person. It was an ILLUSTRATION that people in this hobby accept plastic tools, cardboard cutouts and domestic surroundings, yet berate somebody that asks for a button or function that they view as helpful in their situation. Judgment goes both ways on this board yet the purists always hide behind the “its not a real function or button ‘argument to shut others down. Bottom line is its not real. Again my apologies.

Flying in the dogfight server I have been having problems slowing down. After running out of ammo, instead of dumping the plane and getting a new one, I have been burning max speed back to the blue airport. Once there, I can’t get the engines to slow down. It comes out of burner but they just don’t seem to want to throttle back. I have tried to re assign throttles, sign out and back in, always the same. When I enter the server it works great, but after battle and a long burn home nada. Are they just running wild due to Airspeed at this point or have I stumbled onto an oddity? Thoughts?

My apologies. I was out of line. But c’mon. Although not perfect, its a great program. I just hate to see criticism after criticism. Too fast, too slow, to expensive, too cheap, no lug nuts blah BUT, I had a bad morning and was out of line. My apologies!
