I run the Index, never tried the reverb. Did as much due diligence as I could and frankly the reviews were about 50/50. Until I can run the Index on max with no ghosting or stuttering (or someone confirms the same on the reverb)their is no need for me to try to evaluate one vs the other. It would be impossible for me to determine if one was worse than the other because of a compromise setting to get it smooth, or just plain better. Long winded way of saying you will probably be happy with either choice. Maybe someday when we can max both out, there will be a clear winner. Enjoy!

I bought just about as high end equipment as the layperson can. I have terrible performance issues and although not pathetic, had to compromise in 2.5.5 as well. This isn’t a socioeconomic thing here fellas. I would buy a 30xx tomorrow if it would run the dang thing but it was my choice to opt for VR. What do people want? Do you want the underlying game to run? Do you want new modules? Do you want every single feature of a module to work exactly as it should? Do you insist that every bolt is scale correct and that “on the exterior view when I add bombs the landing gear need to squat more in the caucuses at dusk flying out of airport x, fix it or ill quit” The developers seem to be a small group and they are in a very niche market. What they have accomplished from the days of “pong” is really quite amazing. That said, folks get on here day after day after day, demand more and more. Some expectations realistic, some frankly just silly. Maybe, just maybe if folks would just let them do what they need to do, without pushing them for new “eye candy”(hate that term)new modules, daily updates and just plain anal tweaks they might one day make everyone happy! When is the last time Ford or Volkswagen sent you an email about the progress they are making on fuel cell technology?? As pointed out to me very recently (thank you!) EA is for reporting bugs. However, it is not a license to demand, bitch, moan and constantly threaten the developers that you are going to take your ball and leave ( not the stance of the OP btw, just a reoccurring theme). Not a programer, but my guess is that if they new how to make it run faster for everyone (it seems to run great for some they would. Perhaps they do but can only put one programer on it because of the other demands placed on them? I don’t know either but trust me( or don’t). When they figure out how to do it, they will. How much more communication does anybody need? Stay safe

You obviously missed Ed’s latest roadmap as they have clearly laid out their highest priorities. 1. Fix submarine wake (immediately) 2. Get the Super Carrier working and to EA(Sometime Q2/q3) 3. Fix those annoying plane thingies that for some reason people in SP and MP want to use (long term) Sit back, relax and have a coffee as they are probably all hands on that as we speak!

Not that I saw. I haven’t pursued any of this since asking. Daughter moved back home from college and is currently residing in my cockpit. No DCS since the scrounge hit :/

I found 80% of my crashes were related to pushing my graphics card to far into over clocking. Stuttering was pushing too hard with game settings. Are you over clocking?

Agreed, If they could scale up they could really move. May be any number of reasons why they don’t tho. Frankly, they seem to be taking quantum leaps backwards as far as design imho, not a real fan of their latest throttle offering. Stay healthy!

They used to have a prepay system. It said right on their site, “ purchase and pay now for delivery in about 90 days”. I paid and received my setup in a “reasonable timeframe” (no, not 90 days) The sad thing is all the posts over on their website. “50 days and counting, no equipment, what crap” ,“89 days, took tomorrow off work and sitting next to my mailbox”. “92 days, what kind of a crappy company is this”. On and on, doesn’t surprise me in the least if they said “screw the preorder crap, if you want what I make fight over it”. It’s their company, deal with it or move on. Fwiw they are an awesome piece Of kit!

Ran all afternoon in the Just Dogfight server and some formation flying in the aerobatics server. Ran much better in the F14 anyway. 42-45fps. A little bit of jitters now and then with slight double vision when passing fast objects. Baby step?

Agree 1000%. As someone with quite a lot of experience with FEMA/ DHS(USA Thing) and currently retired. Since Hurricane Katrina the US government has recognized that due to mobilization logistics, individual States were on their own for at least two weeks. And that assumption didn’t take into consideration a world wide event. They recommend that EVERY HOUSEHOLD have the ability to shelter in place for at least 2 weeks. Obviously just looking at toilet paper this advice was not heeded. While nature is to blame for the bug, in the US it’s every family that had the ability to prepare and choose not to, that is to blame. It’s every community that spent millions of dollars on parks and frivolous crap before making sure they had stockpiles (not relying on the feds). Its every governor that spent 2.1 billion on federal emergency funding on arming our Police departments to military standards, while ignoring medical services. I can only speak for the US but in our country, where we are supposed to have a say, we failed ourselves. Easy to blame politicians but it’s true. Please stay well and see y’all in the skies!

I was in MP yesterday flying F14 in several crowded servers with bellow setup and good ping. When taxiing, it was stutter fest out front windscreen but out side windows it was butter smooth. As long as I kept my eyes to the side I could taxi. Not sure if this helps but throwing it out there. Regards

Were you signed in? After update I opened DCS and got that message. Realized that for some reason I wasn’t signed in. Tried again and Viola! Everything was back. Good luck
