Mods exist and add aircrafts made by the community. Please not that the quality is mostly very bad with a few exceptions like the A4E skyhawk mod. But most mods are just reskinned FC-3 planes. Here some videos of better mods

Nevermind, you can only select either blue or red when playing the mission on a server. Singleplayer however works.

You can already do it and I will show you how: Step 1, set countries to their coalitions. The ones that you want to be neutral stay in the middle Step 2: Place a aircraft and set the box next to countries from combat to all by click on it. This will allow you to select neutral countries Step 3: Now set aircrafts to client and you can start the mission. Neutral aircrafts will appear as enemy if they are not in your coalition.

As far I can tell, their flight models are still skill level dependent while the dogfight logic has been much improved. They have now greater knowlege how to fly and fight but still got cheating flight models and that wont be change until ED released the GFM (General flight model) which you can read more about here:

Yeah no. If you want a new entry plane, you should select one that offers something of everything but not beeing too good at the same time. Su-33 does that while beeing low fidelity. Also look it that way, the TF-51 is very limited to free flights and air racing but it will do it authentically as an experience. Higly doubt that. Once they figured out how complex and useless it is, they will get frustraded and left dcs.
