  1. thanks for your feedback Raven, all the points you make are true and i agree with, well most anyhow. the point you are missing is we aren't trying to make it as realistic as possible, we aren't trying to take full advantage of LOMAC's features, we aren't trying to make it as hard as possible. what it is, is a bit of fun having a turning fight (call it air-quake if you will), and also a bit of a test on the ladder layout and features before we move onto bigger and better things. its a shame you dont see the value or fun in this, but as you said that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. personally i really enjoy it but it also seems that in your post you are saying our point of view is invalid? i hope we can leave it at "each to thier own" and move on.
  2. thanks ... I'll give it a go.
  3. a copy function is definately something i would love to have in the misison editor. also a merge function that would copy the entire mission to another mission would be great. further to the above posts, i just did a test with the current merge function to see if it worked but i cant get it to copy even a single F15 flight (as a player) to another mission?? can someone explain the current merge feature and how it works (if at all??) cheers
  4. i dont think there are any indications on the F15. the A10 shows it in the lower left of the HUD and the russian aircraft have lights to indicate it.
  5. from the main page of this site: Distribution The product can be obtained in the following ways: * Full version on CD: Russian version is distributed by 1C in the CIS territories; * Web site download: Download the add-on to Lock On: Modern Air Combat (Lock On: Modern Air Combat required). -- The English version can be downloaded from http://www.LockOn.ru. 6. i've got a nice double breasted navy one with a couple of gold stipes on the sleeves and wings on the breast i'd sell you for that much.
  7. Has the vanilla Su-25 been changed in the add-on so that you know what nav mode you are in and which waypoint you have selected? I really enjoy the raw navigation in the Su25 but it kinda sucks not knowing where you are navigating to lol.
  8. I am happy downloading it using paypal but like the others, i too like having an original cd. Call it an collectors item if you would. Theres just something about it. A burnt cd with felt pen scrawled over it just isnt quite the same. Thanks for all your work on this Matt. Appreciate you looking after our interests.
  9. is there any reason why he cant run it from two hosts or two different versions from the same host? have one for say prop sims and one for jet sims and all you do is download the applicable version of hyperlobby? or as Ice mentioned maybe ED could do something like Hyperlobby when they are doing the dedicated software program!
  10. GGTharos is right. The flight path vector is working fine. Tthe problem is it can only show you relavant information so long as it is within the boundaries of the HUD.If you fly too slow and the flight path vector drops below the bottom edge of the HUD it will only show you the fpv on the bottom edge and it is no longer relevant.) To land at the speeds you are talking about you need to be in a light aircraft and use visual cues outside to manually pick your aiming point. Hard to do as this is also below the nose of the aircraft, but it can be done. Otherwise just fly faster and the FPV will be giving you relevant information again. This is the easiest option of the two. (dont fly less than 160kts and then as you come over the fence close the throttle to touchdown around 150kts) Hope that helps.
  11. um ... your attitude indicator only tells you that you are heading for the water .. not how far away from it you are. hehe :P
  12. i think they heard you GG, but this is such a good find that people want to start using it now! we can worry about 1.1 when that comes out .. till then ... great work Jetfire! :D
  13. are you using the RCVR button or are you QUITING back to the main screen and hitting FLY again? if it is an option use the RCVR button as that usually fixes it for me first go.
  14. cheers Dmut. I'll see what i can arrange for you!
  15. um, but if BOTH planes had "arresting hooks" what does this mean?? :?
  16. i had this as well but it only happened when i put the res up to 1280 and had AA and AF on. as soon as i changed either the res or AA/AF it stopped. i think i was just trying for a little too much on my rig (fairly similar to yours) so i came back to realistic settings and all is fine. hope you can work it out. for Kula: it is where your fps bounce up and down causing the view to surge along as if you were in a row-boat. (mine was bouncing between a comfortable 28 then down to a grinding 7 and then back up again)
  17. dmut .. i too would greatly appreciate that program. could you email me at: cobra at 169thpanthers dot net
  18. thats great news! thanks for the info Alfa.
  19. the problem with the HSI technique is that it doesn't update if you are in another mode other than NAV (1) mode. the scenario is you have just acquired a bandit BVR (mode 2) and u wish to give his coordinates reference bullseye. so now you have to switch to nav mode again to get it to give you an update on your position and then switch back to BVR mode to re-acquire the target. i thought i read that this was being corrected in 1.1, but can someone confirm for me that the HSI will update even if you are not in NAV mode.
  20. Thank you ED for the layered psd texture of the Mig-29S! Do you have plans to release any more like this one for other aircraft, as I for one would greatly appreciate it. :)
  21. Re: Missioneditor request for 1.1: copying objects to clipbo i think what you are saying is the same as what i would like, but just to clarify .... a feature i think would be great is being able to "copy" a flight. I make multiplayer maps and often want quite a few of the same type of aircraft/waypoints/loadout for clients on one side. all i have to do then is creat say one F15 with all its waypoints and loadout etc and then hit copy 5 times and boom ... i have 6 identical aircraft for clients to choose from. Cheers. PS great game ED and thanks for listening to our requests! love ya work!
  22. I'm with you GGTharos. i think the others have lost the translation of what we were visioning for the comms panel. I had a picture of a real comms panel in which you could see the channel you were talking on and be able to change channels (as per Cali's and others suggestions) ad see that change in the comms panel. I wasn't talking about some crappy overlay but a real-life looking comms panel to add to the immersion factor. As for your comments Drako, i made my comment to you because all you did was come into this thread and shoot it down with your opinion of what YOU feel is the number one piority for the devs to add. Everyone has there own idea of what should be the devs priority to develop for this game. So rather than jumping on others in a thread they started about what they would like to see improved, go and start a thread of your own about what you would like to see improved. As the only thing the added to this thread was negativity. PS i do recommend you do what you suggested and do a search on my name and see all the posts i have made. You might just find that my first post was about a dedicated server.
  23. you imply that we were saying we wanted this to be the dev's number one priority Drako?Who ever gave you this idea?? I'm right there with you on the dedicated server app and upgrading the US aircraft to the same level as the russian ones will be post 1.1, however please dont have a go at us for showing some enthusiasm for something slightly different to your idea of what should happen next. I'm sure you've heard the saying ... "Opinions are like arseholes ... everyone has one."
  24. having a comms panel in-cockpit showing what teamspeak channel you were on would be absolutely amazing! :D
