Yes all paths were correct, just the uninstall file of 2.2 that was missing. Anyway the updater failed to register the correct version resulting in a restart of the download. I canceled the download and started the dcs.exe and everything turned out to be version 2.5. Stupid enough I tried to repair but that identified the installation as 1.5.8 and downgraded it. So now I'm downloading again.......... 52% No problem, most lightly this is not a common problem for other users. This thread can be closed as it most lightly was a local "one time" problem.

In fact running repair downgraded to 1.5 OpenBeta :( So the installer fails if it cant find the 2.2 uninstall file. Better to select "No" to remove 2.2! Currently running update to 2.5 again :(

Running repair also works fine but the updater still starts to download from ED repository after the repair.

Minor bug maybe related to nonstandard program folder. Here are the 3 last lines in the "autoupdate_log.txt" INFO : Kill timer reset. ERROR: Can't run C:\DCSW2\unins000.exe: (2) The system cannot find the file specified. === Log closed. Windows 7. Cant find "unins000.exe" anywhere on my systemdisk. EDIT: This also seams to affect the updater.exe because it now don't see that 2.5 is finished installed and starts downloading everything from ED repository! Everything works just by using dcs.exe.

Yes, user selectable. Yes, no payment needed, all free. No, not needed. But disable the antivirus scanner before running the install is a good practise. You may be on the edge of space needed so if you can move one of the installations to a new disk I would do that. After installation you can remove 2.2 as that is not needed and all you have in 2.2 today will be in 2.5, Nevada is there you know. :)

If you first uninstall Tacview the normal way in Windows it will remove any unnecessary scripts. Then perform a normal installation of the new one. You don't lose the licensing by doing this.

For everyone that don't understand it yet: You should only have one version on your computer and that is the 1.5.8 release version. Please forget everything about beta and alfa versions and uninstall them, it is just to complex for you.

Yes it will run on Windows Server 2012 Standard edition (and I believe on R2 edition also).

Yes you are right Beczl disapeared during the MiG-21 trouble, I mixed them, sorry. I hope you get in contact with Beczl and get the original files or some answers. :thumbup:
