I would bet a 1080i with 32GB outperforms your laptop

I stopped running the Kneeboard software after it crashed my DCS, I do use the install for the generated custom mission data pages in the kneeboard, the Kneeboard Software is only needed for moving and resizing the kneeboards. What I do use is add my custom kneeboard pages. For custom kneeboard pages, you only need to know the exact path in the <saved games> folder to the kneeboards and then copy your .png (small caps) in this folder with prox. size of 830x1040.
-
I simply use MS Word, Calibri 11-14 font, narrow margins A4, type text, edit till satisfied, paste images, save as PDF, do full screen PDF, grab screen by snipping tool, creates .png (small letter extension) about 830x1040, done. Keep the originals, if any changes, edit original, repeat, replace.

pulling back on the stick for better braking...
majapahit replied to fitness88's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
When in doubt (heavy and these dumb DCS F18 brakes when landed long on a short runway) raise the flaps also, never mind 'procedure'. -
with me removing winstore.app.exe does not do a thing check what is bugging your USB ports/change ports/uninstall hubs

Have some light point available for Reverb to orientate on. I happen to have a LED 'daylight' lamp om my desk, I put this one on low and Reverb has something more to focus on. When I lost 6 DOF, I swivel, if necessary >180°, you see the screen 'click' when it re-catches 6DOF. At startup I do this with the Reverb in my hand until it catches MRP room in 6DOF, same entering DCS when I notice Reverb lost 6DOF, then recenter (button bound).

delete "x:..\Saved Games\DCS<..>\<HP Reverb VR Headset VR1000-2xxx0.lua>" yours will be called <Samsung something>: EYE_LEFT = { L_OUT =1.113988, L_IN =0.943919, L_TOP =1.000000, L_BTM =1.000000, } EYE_RGHT = { R_OUT =1.107212, R_IN =0.946061, R_TOP =1.000000, R_BTM =1.000000, } and the debug will show again

[CANNOT REPRODUCE] tdc depress not working on too JDAM
majapahit replied to silent one's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Your JDAM page shows TOO (not PP)? -
With the latest update, in TWS mode - which works great when it works - several times when I have a erroneous (1) TWS lock I can Not unlock/cycle. Tried all the buttons, undesignate, depress again, which should have done this, try to change radar mode, which is locked also to TWS, reset simply resets to the same undesired lock. Did I miss something? Now when entering an ACM 20-10NM or so and with a wrong lock, a too far lock outside the encounter, or a friendly, I sometimes have to do a 360° and separate so to make time to unlock. That isn't right.

When I had a Kneeboardbuilder crash, kind of hidden, the kneeboard (VR) showed in the wrong place, half a kneeboard to the right, half not visible it broke my "x:..\DCS <>\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\device_init.lua" and DCS refused to load F/A-18C I don't resize/move my kneeboard now, works OK (I have it for the mission variables/parameters/freq.)

This 'balloon' bug has been there for a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time, it's less after DCS fixes, but it's still there (not even me, I see others have that, I make sure I don't) and no one knows when it show up, but one can have wild guesses and WOW is one of them, try a too shallow pitch up to bounce on/off/on the runway and you'll see.
-
There - still - is a 'pitch up' bug. You cycle flaps, gear and FCS. This takeoff might also - possibly - be triggered by F18 weight-on-wheels, when taking off, you need to positively pitch up, so wheels do not 'bounce' on/off the runway and trigger weight-on-wheels on/off/on, with the additional - possible - problem that gears won't come up with gear lever up, that needs weight-on-wheels also. Try might this YMMV.

Just repaired my TARGET DA by updating my Asrock z370 Intel® Software Development Emulator Software

TARGET error when HP Reverb attached - An unhandled exception has occurred. Memory overwrite / read When running Target TARGETScriptEditor with my F/A-18C DCS script, and I press TARGET "DeviceAnalyzer" when my HP Reverb VR goggles are started an error window shows up: "An unhandled exception has occurred. Exception: System.Windows.Markup.XamIParseException: The invocation of the constructor on type FASTDeviceTester.EventTester’ that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception. -> System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. at FastControl.TmHidRaw.TmHRInitializeO at FASTDeviceTester.EventTester..ctorO - End of inner exception stack trace - at .. " etc. Note: "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt." When I STOP HP Reverb by unplugging the USB part (for audio and power, not the Displayport) THEN TARGET "DeviceAnalyzer" will run and show Virtual TMWH HOTAS properly. TARGET SEEMS to run without further errors BUT: I suspect this to be the cause for button errors/ and spikes when running DCS (makes occasionally fire missiles when no button is touched, which is BAD, and I had total loss of control on a multiplayer server when connected for a while - 45min). Anyone?
