TPOD - How do I switch back from LST to LSS mode?

I just found, latest MAV E/F after first off rail, you have to check with the HUD state where FLIR remembered last lock, where you need to be backed into unlocked slew state, and for the next lock, I needed to do an extra cage/uncage (so, do this twice) to get the MAV to lock, and with both E/F you better do a lock with the MAV triangle close to the VV and then check the position in the HUD where it locked and check your MAV screen if it even actually locks at all, because rather strange effects occurred, and you cage/uncage (again) within range if there was no viable lock, either in time/space are no range lock, where with F you check for the closed cross, and with the E you have to compare the DDI readout with the HUD, and have your auto-lase set up. This seems how it works now. Kind of. -

That's not OSB13 that is OSB17 and says '1688'/'LSS' which is, as mentioned above, laser spot search which is the opposite of beaming a leaser from the TPOD, where this is searching for a laser / on a particular code. For instance a MAV-E searches for a laser on its own sent from the TPOD, but you can search a laser from someone else for instance when you're trying to find a target from a JTAC or another plane. -
Had that, keep updating, Microsoft Windows Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.900) ok again ..

Looks good, but ED should be doing this, besides that should be in strict tekst/wiki format so clients can annotate and extract their own notes and short hand for what they really need. This present way of 'you'll find out if you stumble on the changed procedure somewhere or anywhere in any time space continuum' and not documenting the phases and shortcoming armaments developments are in, this presently is beyond lunatic. Every update, all the details of all the changes, need to be reflected in an continuously updated Wiki.

Which is the clue it seems, you need to be close enough for the MAV to not go astray, or even lock, and you can't slew nor relock, be way into Max Range, all which is WIP.

The only setups I saw mentioned that can keep up 60 (or 90) hz , are the very top spec boxes which is 2080 Ti and super CPU's. Half of 60, you end up with 30fps

You're not the only one. Reverb is prone to some inherent 'stutter' also, it very much depends on your settings. That's not 'non symetrical view for each eye', that's shadows missing, something cannot keep up. I have reprojection off, btw, shadows off, no AA whatsoever, and steamVR 100%, that's how I keep my scenery smooth, 25FPS on certain decks spawning multiserver, 30FPS to the cat, 50FPS on altitude.

Just 1 DCS server 500GB M.2 would be sufficient. OB server is about 70GB now with future DCS modules taking how much, less then another 70GB. and Windhose 64 is about 100GB with pagefile/hybernate. With crap always growing like fungus on your harddrives, 250GB is just a tad to small, so is 16GB RAM. If this saves money you want the fastest CPU with fastest single core(s) in this box for multi threading Tacview, SRS, Teamspeak and such. Is what I would do. I run an old overclocked 2500K which is about as fast as this. -
latest OB DCS F18 now toggles VVSLV / snowplow with double tab I noticed / after single tab - ?

Looks good, but mine will rarely slave to MAVF, just tried again, first time yes with lock in view of MAVF seeker, sequence of 3 more turn ins, no, does not slave, in particular when target is out of MAVF seeker view, no slew turned in, depressing, FLIR active. Activate MAVF, uncaging, whatever, does nothing or weird. Whats you're F18 setting 'realistic slew', I've tried both. Is that a recent track because that is how it is supposed to work.

Can't lock, I'm confused. Last Wags shows how to lock moving target, ok, FLIR right and active, left MAV-F and caged. Lock TPOD moving target, now what? Won't slave to MAV. MAV-F works ok without TOPD. This is Wag's 'we will tinker some more coming?' no MAVF yet? Maybe am I missing something.

Traffic incoming / and just close traffic seems to stop crews also, once in a while. In particular 3, but all cats seem intermittently not wanting to cooperate. Someone also clicking 'ball' will stop random crews randomly I think I noticed. You'll have to wait, request, check incoming and circling traffic, and/or start taxi around so to trigger the crews back on. With many on the deck and circling planes I avoid cat 3 (and 4).

Maybe a rogue 'you need an addon' then again, not. Check the logs. Rename your saved games profiles for client and server, retrieve the \config for login and saved setups perhaps, and try both clean installs (and repair, and/or wipe install and install completely new) is what i would do, just takes time, little effort.

Trying a simple 'message to all' when mission starts works from ME and as a SP mission, but won't show when run on server. How does that work? EDIT: the basic trigger.action.outText draws an ugly black box around the text that i dont want 002 Mission loop 9AM TPOD 9 bridges CAUCASUS.miz

I hadn't flown for months, then Supercarrier was released and I had trouble landing, and what I finally think to conclude is not so much any flight model changed, but something what resulted in the equivalent of denser air. Which, with wind, makes your Hornet float like a light Cessna bouncing in the wind, but one would think a Hornet is too heavy for floating.
