  1. Can you show a vid of what you mean? I don't understand. Nate
  2. I'm only a tester, and as such covered by an NDA. Can't say much about the next update. Sorry. Nate
  3. To Flesh out what cichlidfan is saying, this feature requires the reintegration of the Mission editor portion of DCS into the simulation engine, this is why it is a long term goal. It is a big job, and will not work within the limitations of 32bit. This is not the only reason for dropping 32bit though. Nate
  4. Perhaps I'm Misunderstanding you, the ground angle in my opinion should not be considered at all. It is irrelevant. The Diagram shows the Rotor mast at a 5 deg angle from Huey Deck perpendicular. The DCS model does not have this 5 deg offset from the Deck perpendicular. Nate
  5. See Below Nate
  6. Heheh, not quite. That said, my old system did show up stuff causing FPS hits rather well. But overall it held it's own quite well at relatively High settings. To me 15-25FPS has been the norm for me in any sim for decades. But with the addition of more n more High Poly models, things would have gotten slower and slower as time goes on. It was time to retire it. Nate
  7. No need, I've added it into the Buglist. This does NOT mean it will be fixed. If I hear anything back I'll let you know. Nate
  8. Nevada isn't going to be free for all AFAIK. Nate
  9. OK Understood. It is correct in my Testers version, lets see what the Open Beta for 1.2.6 brings. Nate
  10. What is missing? Is your version different? See pic. Nate
  11. Nice mod, looks great - hurts FPS though. I go from 100fps to about 50. Nate
  12. I'm not a rep - but as long as you don't resell the printed copies I think ED doesn't mind at all. Nate
  13. Spot on - > I had an E6300 initially and blagged my brothers E8400 when he got a Q6600 :) Regarding the ATI card yep your right - got the numbers backwards. Had a 7800GS before that I think. Nate
  14. I've gone from a Core 2 E8400 and ATI 4980 bought 7 years ago to a 4650K@4.4ghz and a 670@1019mhz, the difference is unbelievable. I've gone from an average of 22fps (something I've always considered normal) to 60-100fps. I'm blown away. Everything is fluid and smooth. Ability to control aircraft has immeasurably improved (especially dogfighting in the P-51). Nothing seem to dent performance anymore (multiple Smerch attacks are no bother at all), Also got myself a nice 27" monitor. The Whole sim has changed for me, it's like I'm discovering something new all over again. Best money I've spent in a long long time. Nate
  15. Ahh ok it is slightly different for the steam version. Create a BAT file in "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld" and enter into the BAT the below line start bin\launcher.exe -w "DCS Test" If you run that BAT, DCS will use the settings in "C:\Users\<User Name>\Saved Games\DCS Test" Nate
  16. I get you, everybody has their pet feature, I'm the same. That said, I know nothing of the timing of what is actually planned, ATC or otherwise. So don't take my word as gospel, it may still be on track. We still know nothing of how v1.2.6 beta is to operate, how stuff gets added, or not, to it etc etc. It is too early to know about ATC and 1.2.6beta yet. Nate
  17. This is a long term goal for DCS. It is on the ED wishlist. Nate
  18. Apologies, I meant no official details on how it will operate for end users. Nate
  19. You will have the Mig-21. Nate
  20. There's nothing official yet about this Beta - I'd wait for an announcment. However, I haven't come across any ATC changes yet myself. I get the feling ATC priority has been moved, since it was mentioned. But I have no official info. To quote Matt. "EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE" Nate
  21. As far as I know the Su-27 and F-15 will be available individually like the A-10A and Su-25. No stated plans for the Su-33 or Mig-29 for the moment. Nate
  22. This can be changed also - so it uses different settings for each version if you wish. The command is something like start bin\x86_64\launcher.exe -w "DCS Test" This will use "C:\Users\*N*\Saved Games\DCS Test" for settings. Nate
  23. This can't happen until the Mission editor is reintegrated in to DCS.exe - ala Lock On 1. I believe there is a long term goal to do this at some point. When, who knows. The reason the 2 were separated was to make more room in 32bit memory address space for terrain. This will no longer apply when DCS goes exclusively 64bit. So that also has to come first. Nate
  24. High poly? Compared to what? Nate
