  1. It will arrive in stages, some aircraft will get AFM before others. I've no other detail though. Nate
  2. No, Just the updated Flight Models from the upcoming Standalone Flaming cliffs aircraft Modules for DCS. Nate
  3. True, but you make it sound like there was an expectation for the AFMs to be free. I'm not sure where that expectation arose. Nate
  4. I liked that, nice teamwork. Nate
  5. No, Microsoft had to throw away the work they had done, ED are going to gift the work they will do, to FC3 owners. I'm not sure how you equate the two. ED would have lost nothing by making the AFM pay-ware to FC3 for say $10 - instead as a Gesture, akin to the free release of Flanker 2.5 before, the fans get the work for nothing. Nate
  6. Give an inch.... Nate
  7. I'm just waiting for the first person to complain about this............. ;) Nate
  8. Consider it a right of passage, we've all said something on the forum as Testers, that has comeback to bite us, and trust me, the forum NEVER forgets. Nate
  9. Yeah, I'd expect it to be something like that, but then again I can only make a guess. Aerodynamically I'd say they are close enough. Nate
  10. Not the same AFM per se - they both have individual flight models and fly very differently, once you know the aircraft well. Nate
  11. ED would have shut up shop long ago if they took to heart some of the more ignorant rantings on forums. I would imagine that anybody involved in creating Flight sims know the fans can be their own worst enemy at times. Nate
  12. I don't see how it is any different what we already have in the A-10 or abris, implementation wise. 3rd party Devs writer their own code for avionics and hook it in to DCS. Nate
  13. How did I not think of that... that will be awesome. Nate
  14. Anything is possible, it just takes time and money. Nate
  15. Nice! Nate
  16. By far the best Huey mission available. Keep up the good work. Nate
  17. Not really, you can set the cloud deck to, say 100m, any airfield above this will be in the the soup so to speak. Set the Cloud density to 9 or 10 in the Mission editor for fully over cast skies - set the deck and layer thickness to suit. Nate
  18. That "Easy cash" as you put it - pays for the fast jet project. The Idea with the standalone F-15 and Su-27 is to cater to people who prefer mid-fidelity sims, but don't own Lock On. It is not intended to compete with the eventual DCS module. Nate
  19. IIRC the engines need to be fully spooled down for repair to be enabled. Nate
  20. Great stuff - thanks. BTW the reason this effect was removed was the prop on the P-51 introducing strobing effects when flying into the sun - not very good to have for epileptics playing. Nate
  21. Love that Gif :) The Stand alone F-15 and Su-27 will be improved upon the FC3 versions (new AFM at least) and are being marketed at those that want a medium fidelity sim but don't own Lock On. There is still a lot up in the air regarding them - so it will become clearer as to what they are, nearer release. Nate
  22. IIRC it is old Track IR profiles in the Config folder that do this, but I'm not sure Nate
