  1. Currently it matters if you want to prevent showing the entire enemy layout in the Mission planner before the mission starts, effectively bypassing the whole premise of the FoW, before the mission even starts. If Hidden is selected, yes - the unit is subject to the FoW rules. For example the "ALL" F-10 setting shows all the enemy units except those that are "Hidden" - these are in the FoW. Nate
  2. IIRC Units "Hidden" from the Mission Editor/Planner in your version follow the Fog of War rules at all times in the F-10 map, even when "ALL" is selected in the options for F-10. The Battlefield commander will always be able to Discover units in accordance with the FoW rules. However. This has been changed for the next major version and you will not be able to Hide units and have them Discoverable by the battlefield commander. You must show all units in the Mission Planner before the mission starts or the Battlefield commander will not function correctly. Suffice to say this is less than Ideal. Nate
  3. Ah that's it. The AI will dump AG weapons in a bid to survive. Nate
  4. Hidden on map applies to hidden on the ME map only, not the F-10 map, in 1.2.1 - this will be changed back again. The reason it was changed was because hiding units from the Mission Planner broke CAs battlefield commander and the Fog of War function of the F-10 map. Another solution to CAs functions being broken is being sought though. Nate
  5. After reinstalling everything use the repair function in the Start menu entry for Eagle Dynamics. Nate
  6. Download and install 1 - http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/torrents/DCS_World_EN.torrent 2 - http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/torrents/A-10C_1.2.1_EN.torrent 3- http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/torrents/KA-50_1.2.1_EN.torrent Nate
  7. BS2 and A-10 stand alone versions do not matter to DCS world. No need to uninstall or deactivate - they will have nothing to do with DCS world. To use the A-10 and BS2 in DCS world you need the the DCS world modules for A-10 and BS2. Ignore the stand alone versions you currently have, they do not matter at all any more. Nate
  8. Install DCS:-World - it will ignore the versions you have installed currently. Then install the A-10 module and the BS2 module for DCS world. Fly. Nate
  9. You make it sound like you are owed something. Nate
  10. It is what it is - also, it has been present in DCS since Warthog Beta 2. Nate
  11. They were basically hounded into providing some sort of answer. They are under no obligation to satisfy your curiosity. Nate
  12. I can't replicate it - have you got a short track? Nate
  13. Water colour never changed. Just the texture/pattern used for the waves. Nate
  14. It is a unit "Popping" smoke when attacked. A basic effect but it does the job of obscuring the target. Nate
  15. If it happens again try ALT-TAB? Nate
  16. Yes that's a good suggestion. Nate
  17. If you people are experiencing missing cockpits it means the module has not installed correctly. To remedy, install the module that is missing - then run the repair function in the DCS start menu entry. Nate
  18. Modules are uninstalled with World - it is not possible to uninstall modules individually. If you people are experiencing missing cockpits it means the module has not installed correctly. To remedy, install the module that is missing - then run the repair function in the DCS start menu entry. Nate
  19. No idea. I'm not even sure it will be upgraded. But I'd be surprised if it wasn't. Nate
  20. Not yet. Nate
  21. This sounds to me like a manifestation of the ATL-TAB black buildings bug with the Shkval. Nate
  22. The Su-25T has not been upgraded to Ricardo's pit yet. It still uses the original artwork. Nate
