  2. I will second this. They REALLY should work on the sound, if not for a patch, then for 1.2. It is pretty sad really that Lomac was realized with such a horrible sound engine.
  3. There are no random events in Lomac. They instituted a sort of random AI behavior, so basically the AI won't do the exact same thing every time you fly a mission. Random events would be nice though!!
  4. Have you eliminated the deadzone in game? The X-52 driver puts its own deadzone in automatically.

  6. I think this is so only if the mission is classified, which I don't classify mine.
  7. Personally, I think the scenes setting is best on high when a2g action is going on. This makes for a more challenging experience, trying to pick out that annoying IR SAM that's in a clearing in the forest for example. I have what nowadays is concidered a low-end computer and I adjust other settings to balance what FPS drop the trees incur.

  9. I personally like the idea of new features that don't necessarily require a new flyable. A redesigned mission editor, better sound engine, dedicated server, dynamic campaign. These things mean alot to me. That said, new flyables are cool too. Lomac is the best mp experience in jet sims right now, and that's because there are planes from both coalitions to fly. The problem is, we have a very unbalanced situation in this sim and it will only get more lop-sided after 1.2.

  12. Taking in consideration that they are planning a DC for the Lomac successor, are their any plans for the map? The reason I ask is that it seems to me that the "shape" of the finished area of the map is awkward. If they they use the current map it would be nice if they finished some of the areas such as the northeast corner (Russia). It also would be nice for more areas for Nato side to base from such as portions of Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, and even the bit of Ukraine north of the Crimean peninsula. LOL this is the whole map . . .
  13. Ghost, the Jaguar carries the AS.37 Martel ARM. I know I've said it a million times but the Jaguar would be a great fit in Lomac . . .

  18. We can't really take credit for the mission rotator, it came from right here: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=8461 But yes, it IS brilliant!! I personally think it works quite well for the type of missions we are using, with the mixed a2a/a2g action, since it adds to the variety. Even more important, if we ran one of these missions nonstop, there would eventually be nothing for the a2g guys to destroy. BTW, since these missions are very large we are finding occasional bugs.   21. Maybe for 1.2, of course!! I think it would be useful to have a team total score in the scoring window. This way, you can have a clear victor at the end of the mission. If possible, it would be nice to have all kills scored by ground units added to the coalition totals, for instance: SAM kills on enemy aircraft, ground vehicle vs. ground vehicle kills, etc. I envision a full-war mission with advancing armor on both sides. Say that Blue side gets more a2a kills and the highest score, but the Reds win the ground war. The total points of everything scored in the mission would truly determine the winner. Also, if a dedicated server is done: after the mission is ended, it would be nice if the scoreboard would pop up automatically for about 20 seconds for the clients before they are dropped back to the menu to begin the next mission. Or even better, if the scoring system was integrated into the debriefing screen somehow. I think this would encourage a bit more teamwork and less of just racking up kills for personal glory.
  22. You should download the demo of Flaming Cliffs from lockon.ru!! The demo with the MiG-29 in it is the first demo done for Lock-on, and it is VERY outdated. It is from beta code from before version 1.0 was released. The new demo features the Su-25 (with the AFM advanced flight model), the A-10, and a couple of really good voice-over training tracks done by Ironhand. As for the video card questions go, maybe someone a bit more knowledgeable will help you out.
