  1. It appears you are running a 32-bit version of Windows which is limiting the available RAM to 3036MB. Moreover, the video controller in your laptop (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650) may not be sufficient. You may want to try the workaround for 32-bit Windows to increase the amount of memory that DCS can use: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1084420&postcount=8 Still, I'm afraid it won't help.
  2. It appears some frustrated CoD players have joined us :D
  3. That thread is three years old, a lot has changed since then ...
  4. Moreover, you can backup your activation data by exporting the following registry key (and subkeys) to a file: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics
  5. It seems there is only a full install. You'll probably need to remove the current version and install the new one. Since a number of beta versions may be released shortly one after the other there may perhaps not be any patches, only full installs. (100% speculation)
  6. The graphics settings are stored in your Windows profile (C:\Users\your-user-name\Saved Games\DCS Warthog). Apparently they were not deleted.
  7. While you're at it, disable the airbags in your car, disable ESP and remove the brakes ... Seriously, there's no need to disable UAC to run an application like DCS. DCS:BS1 required privilege elevation (in Vista and newer) because it required write access to files in the Program Files directory (not a best practice). This was addressed with DCS-A10C (and hence with DCS:BS2) where these files are stored in the user's profile and are thus writable without privilege elevation.
  8. Pilot body can be toggled during the mission.
  9. First get your DCS-A10C license key: Next, download and install the full version (currently 1.1.1.1): http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=135&lang=en According to some, it's possible that you won't need to enter the license key again if it was already activated by the Steam version, but it's always handy to have.
  10. With the P-51 model, you can even see the stick move from external view ...
  11. Why not install the non-Steam version of DCS with your Steam key?
  12. Selecting "Run this program as an administrator" will generate a UAC consent prompt when you are logged on with an administrator account (with default UAC settings). Why would you want to run an application like DCS A-10C with administrator priviliges anyway? It works fine without them. (BS1 is another story) edit: sniped
  13. Better than nothing. I assume there's nothing useful in C:\Users\your-username-here\Saved Games\DCS\Logs ?
  14. They're textured quads ... DCS uses more of the same (literally).
  15. During DCS World installation, deselect "Install Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package".
  16. Basically put ... you want multiplayer missions to be cached, with automatic clean up (maximum directory size for example).
  17. Old model: 2505 polygons New model: 92560 polygons Moreover, the IL-78 model was also renewed (missing textures as well, for now) I hope they get the LOD's right, since this model is apparently placed as a "static object" on some airports. The new train models have quite a few polygons as well ...
  18. Please elaborate.
  19. No changes at Batumi as far as I can see.
  20. Playing a simulation on a PC offers plenty of limitations already.
  21. Did this error prevent installation/execution of DCS World? If it does, try reinstalling and deselect the option for Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (you have a newer version already installed).
  22. Besides moving your neck, you can also move your eyes (duh), which extends the "view range".
  23. The main menu does not prompt for a license key, only when you start the actual game engine you will get prompted.
