  1. I must be blind, the .rar file you posted doesn't seem to include il-76md.lods, il-78m.lods or a50.lods ... You'd need geometry files as well for the other LOD's (use the old model?)
  2. How about the LOD's for the new IL-76/78 & A-50 models? There aren't any yet. Quite troublesome considering the new models have a relatively high polygon count (around 200K, depending on the model). Moreover, the IL-76 model is used as a static object on some airports ... Same thing for the new train models. Other models don't have LOD's either.
  3. This was already possible in Lockon 1.0. In DCS you can also control land vehicles, if you know how. ;) Aircraft = client trick?
  4. The client role is not new, being able to load multiplayer missions in single player and selecting an aircraft is new though.
  5. You mean like this one? ;) 2UVhYZwktZo DCS' textures could use more dirt, corrosion, chipped paint, discoloration, scratches ... It's too clean.
  6. Oh goody, a flyable Hind ;) One can dream, especially with that video showing a flyable Mi-8 ...
  7. Using rudder trim? Not too much fuel loaded? (~68%) No external payload? Stick pointed a bit towards you? (this limits the tail wheel to 6 degrees of movement left or right through the rudder pedals) :D
  8. The F-15C model is flyable ... in FC ;)
  9. "Error: Modules with different CPU types were found" ... It appears the x86 (32-bit) version of D3DX9_43.DLL is stored in your System32 directory, while it should be the x64 version ... Not sure how to fix this without reinstalling Windows. You could try installing the DirectX update once more, but since the files are mixed up ... In the attached screenshot you can see the file size of the x64 version. Did you use some kind of tool like CCleaner to clean up your registry? PS: you can ignore IESHIMS and IEFRAME
  10. Oops, didn't read that line ... I remember that one ...
  11. By default DCS World will try to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 runtime DLL's. If they are already installed (same version or newer) then you will get the message you saw. Actually, you can already select this: Since a number of people have already run into this problem, it would seem best if ED add a detection in the installer to automatically control the checkbox. Those other flight sims probably don't use Microsoft Visual C++ 2010. ED started using it with DCS World, previous versions used Microsoft Visual C++ 2008.
  12. Yep, that's why it's good to report errors now, while it's in beta.
  13. Why did it flip back up?
  14. C:\Windows\SysWOW64 contains 32-bit DLL's, x64 DLL's are stored in C:\Windows\System32 ... Airbuster, - Expand all nodes in Dependency Walker - Press F9 (this shows the full path of the DLL) - Post a screenshot - Verify that D3DX9_43.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL exist at the specified paths
  15. Standard cable internet subscriptions over here offer over 3MB per second ... 100KB/sec sounds like first-gen ADSL ...
  16. In DCS you can define sensitivity of the axis and set a deadzone for the center. * Go to Options / Controls * Select Axis Commands in the dropdown list * Select one of the assigned axis by clicking it * Click the Axis tune button in the bottom
  17. RegGetValueA is a Win32 function used to retrieve a value from the registry It appears this function may not be supported in 32-bit Windows XP. It requires Windows XP x64, Vista or newer. Source Edit: verified that this function is missing in ADVAPI32.dll on Windows XP x86 with SP3

  19. 64-bit Windows?
  20. It's not engrish, it's just poor pronunciation. This is engrish:
  21. Having the Su-25T in DCS World is a nice bonus (I bought FC1 back in the day), but it could be misleading to people who are new to DCS. Let's face it, new people people most likely cannot tell the difference between a Lockon flyable and the Su-25T in DCS. DCS:BS/WH/P51 offer clearly more in depth simulation than the previous flyables (besides 6DOF and clickable cockpit), including the Su-25T. As far as DCS-promotion goes, I'd have to say those user made Youtube videos will help a lot more than a free pre-DCS flyable. Falcon 4 may not have the best flight model, but it still exceeds DCS in other areas, almost 15 years after its release.
  22. I agree that it may give people a wrong impression about DCS-level simulation. Perhaps people would have understood your point if you didn't start this thread calling the Su-25T module "garbage" ;)
  23. Try it without labels :D
  24. Perhaps they will do so in the future ...
  25. It would make sense if the mirrors/MFD's are not rendered when they're not in view ...
