  1. Try deleting the /input/Trackir.ini and /config/trackir files and restart lockon.
  2. That's the panel Wasserfall is working on for our Su-27 cockpit. See this topic for details.
  3. Last weekend the Aviodrome museum at Lelystad Airport in the Netherlands organised the 21st International Flightsimulator Weekend. This is the biggest annual flightsim event in the world, with more than 300 participants. And what nicer environment is there than to fly between the aircraft themselves? We were there with five people, displaying Flaming Cliffs, and some videos from Black Shark. Together with Campground, the VRNLAF and the RNLAF 322 Squadron, we made up the military corner. 5. I think he means the vortices coming off the wing roots, which sometimes appear when an aircraft is flying under high angles of attack.
  6. I don't think anyone was hurt. Looking at the way it's tethered up, I'd say it is a test run.

  8. Hehe, ED is working hard to get the bugs out of the sim, and now we're asking them to put new ones in :D
  9. Well, I guess I must be doing something wrong then... I've been trying all evening, with no luck.
  10. Does someone have a mirror I can try? I'm still getting the blank page, and my F5 key is wearing down...
  11. Same here. When I log in and go to Files - Video, all I get is an empty white void :(
  12. You haven't seen anything yet :) There are three DVDs full of these clips.
  13. In the weekend of November 3rd and 4th, the Aviodrome museum at Lelystad Airport in the Netherlands will host the annual Flightsim Weekend. The Dutch Flanker Display Team will be there displaying Lockon. Have a look at http://www.fsweekend.com for more information on what the FS Weekend is, and how to get there. If you want to pay us a visit, please follow this link for a discount on the entry fee to the museum: http://www.dutch-flankers.net/downloads/kortingsbon-fsw-2007.jpg Hope to see you there!
  14. I'm present. Flying from Flanker 2.0 via 2.5, Lomac, LoFC on to DCS, and no intention of stopping :) Let's hope they'll include the Su-27 somewhere on the way (or even better: the Su-30(MK) or Su-34) :)
  15. Maybe sometime in the future:
  16. Too bad that it's an ACES II, and not a Zvezda K-36DM ;)
  17. I'd say about 25 centimeters. (Check your FTP folder)
  18. You can also download the open-source program 7-zip It can cope with almost all popular compression formats, and is totally free.
  19. We don't do formation aerobatics yet, we're still in training :) Currently we only have three solo displays (Su-27, Su-33, MiG-29A)
  20. It's my turn again this year to host the Lockon competition, let's make it a good one! I have some great ideas for the missions, so spread the word, and let's hope we exceed last year's 13 participants (There must be more Lockon enthousiasts out there) @ Yoda: I have a spare 21" Dell P1110 CRT monitor if you like, it can do 1800x1440 at 70 or 75Hz, so resolution shouldn't be a problem ;) I can also take an empty miditower computer case with me. It already has a 3.5" floppy drive, but no power supply.
  21. I don't know yet what LigerZero and Emmer will come up with, but for my demo I mainly look at live displays at airshows, and 'borrow' manouvers I like. So my current demo incorporates parts from the Dutch and Belgian F-16 demo, the Dutch PC-7 demo, Kvochur's Su-27 routine, the Hungarian MiG-29 demo, to name a few :) On top of that I do some of my own figures, and try to stick them all in an eight-minute window. So expect lots of action, with very little straight-line flying (except for my combined roll and high-speed pass) :) Some manouvers which are currently in my demo (in no particular order): - Tailslide - Kobra Pugacheva - Inclined Loop - Combined Roll - High AoA pass with 360 degrees turn - High-speed pass (Mach 1+) And many more :) Oh, and if all goes well, all this will be synchronised to music :)
  22. The Dutch Flanker Display Team will participate with three solo displays, combined into one demo. 1. Name (+website): Dutch Flanker Display Team (Website currently offline) 2. Number of aircraft & type: 1x Su-27 + 1x Su-33 + 1x MiG-29A 3. Estimated airtime: 24 minutes total, 8 minutes for each aircraft 4. Mods/skin required: DFDT Su-27 and Su-33 skin 5. Contact person + email: Joe Kurr 6. Country & Timezone (+/-GMT): The Netherlands (GMT + 1)
  23. I suspect Emmer is talking about this: I have programmed a button on my Cougar to dispense two, four, or thirty flares, depending on the position of the dogfight switch. It's simply a macro which presses the DEL key in rapid succession for one, two or fifteen times. On the screenshot above, it was set to bursts of four flares at a time (pressing DEL twice) I did this mainly to try some things out for my solo display, to see if I could mimic the way the Russian Knights and the Swifts drop many flares. The only problem is that Lockon seems to have a limit to the amount of flares that can be dropped in one second (or rather, the speed at which keypresses are handled). I have set the interval between keypresses in my macro to one millisecond, but it doesn't seem to make any difference if I set it to 10 or even 100 milliseconds.
  24. Hi Rock@wulf, welcome to this forum :) The circuit I used in those pictures was a simple pulse generator using an NE-555 timer chip wired as a monoflop (or monostable multivibrator). That one only handled one position of a switch, I have changed the circuit a bit to support two positions. For this I changed the NE-555 for an NE-556 (a single chip with two 555 timers in it). The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to convert the pulse generated from my circuit to something my keyboard controller recognizes as a keypress. I have tried using a transistor, but besides getting quite expensive (you'd need at least one transistor for each key on your keyboard), this didn't work because the currents generated by the keyboard controller are too small (less than 3µA) Another option is to use solid state bilateral switches (e.g. HEF4016 or HEF4066) but I haven't tried this yet. Here you'd need one switch for every key, so each chip can serve up to four keys. I don't know if these switches can work with the low voltages and currents from the keyboard controller.
  25. That's just taxiing with the gear up :D
