  1. They also send tinfoil hats to some customers for free. Back on topic - is this fixed in latest open beta?
  2. Try this for starters (I don't think it's too complex for anyone, really) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=198221 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3305955/
  3. I'ts much better now, problem is virtually gone. Still, it should time out much quicker or don't call home at all imo.
  4. I have started to have this issue today as well. Going into offline mode or not logging in "fixes" the issue. Looks like the game is calling home after mission exit and servers are in a bad state.
  5. They do need to fix their servers though. The game is calling home very often and with current "download all modules" frenzy, servers just don't seem to cope, causing issues with the game itself.
  6. I have the same issue with DCS hanging after quitting a mission. Switching to offline mode seems to fix it.
  7. AFAIK only MGRS and seconds coords on the map will give you max 8 digits precision, but you would have to convert MGRS to decimal or switch to lat/long/seconds from AC menu and ALT+Y to coords which look like this: N41-32-32.22 E37-11-32.39. Enter first 6 digits, then last 2 Standard decimal format on the map gives only 3 digits after the dot - you can use these straight away, but you will have slightly less precision - won't matter if you are bombing a large building but if you want to nail single tank then better use a laser :) And no, Redkite tutorial does not explain this particular thing fully, he does explain how to enter them though.
  8. To be fair it's outdated and harmful concept and very few reputable game dev companies would do it these days. It's been proven over and over that crunch is counterproductive too.
  9. SA page destroys FPS and makes the aircraft virtually unflyable. It happens only when countermeasures dispenser is on. I can provide tracks, screenshots and videos if needed. ps. I won't be rolling back drivers and trying any other snake oil advice.
  10. Non issue, really good AAR training, especially when it started to turn :pilotfly:
  11. Thanks for the updated version! You've got pretty crazy ass tanker in this mission, doing 380kts (mach 0.67) :)
  12. I fly with wake turbulence, don't have any curves and don't really have any issues with AAR. (Vripil stick and throttle). It's kind of automatic at this point. Don't look at the basket and don't use any arbitrary reference points on the tanker to align to (there are some tutorials out there recommending doing this) - the tanker is your reference point, lights on the pod are more precise guide.
  13. Anywhere 3-10% fps gain, depending on how well they implement it. In some extreme cases, performance can be worse. People think Vulcan is some magic thing, it isn't. The best way to "optimize" DCS is to have cutting edge hardware.
  14. What is HOTAS function for RAID, Wags mentioned this in his video.
  15. +1 for absolute antenna control. I have a dial in front of the throttle which is made for it.
  16. Makes sense to me: a 50 Euro cheaper version, then an add-on panel which adds the dials and buttons bringing it back to v3 functionality - for 150 euro.:D
  17. Nah, I ride a Ducati Panigale V4.:pilotfly: I had my fair share of issues with them, but they always resolved them. It would usually take some time, sometimes more than "some". They have a lot to learn when it comes to sales and handling issues, but they are getting better at it. IMO they are still a mom&pop kind of shop (and I am not saying this as a criticism) and having level of support we expect and are used to from some other companies (Logitech comes to my mind - I have tons of their gear and if anything ever broke they would send a replacement immediately, no questions asked). requires a lot of investment, knowledge and infrastructure. Personally I really like their products and want them to become a worldwide success, but I'll not hesitate to criticize them for shipping delays, broken switches due to bad packaging etc. hoping that they will notice and improve. I hope your problems get resolved soon. p.s Cypher (their PR/customer support/everything) is a great guy and they have to hire more of them :)
  18. I finally got mine up and working - arrived 2 weeks ago with broken side switch which now has been replaced (by me, Virpil sent a new one). TNT is pain in the arse to deal with - they have lost first parcel (!), but Cypher sorted it out. I can see an improvement in sales and delivery but still ways to go for Virpil (:D). Post sale support excellent as always. Purchasing woes aside, V3 is great. I used to own V1 for a year (now sold) and I must say V3 is an improvement. New grips are easier to operate, analog stick is a very useful luxury (I still say it's not a necessity, a 4 way hat works ok), I'd like to see more variation in button shapes so it's easier to feel which one is which without looking. A reliable, easy to disable detent system would be great too. For me it was worth upgrading. Please don't bring V4 anytime soon.
  19. Sold. ---- Hi, Mint condition Virpil Version 1 (original with detents) throttle for sale. £220 + shipping, UK only. I had it for a year.
  20. I personally don't care about whatever that thing you asking for is, so speak for yourself (unless you are a royalty).
  21. Thanks Cypher. I'll report back if I get CM2 Throttle on my desk in less than a month from now ;)
  22. I'd not count or anything below 2-3 months of wait (from my own experience). They are unable/don't want to keep stock and it's pretty obvious that they finance the production from pre-order money. They are currently around 4 months backlogged on CM2 throttle. As nice as Cypher is, their sales service remains horrible.
