  1. But, but, but, THE EAGLE GOT A BETTER COCKPIT!!!!!:D
  2. I quoted Cichlid's comment in my reply. I was not referencing any comment made by anyone affiliated with TFC/ED.
  3. 680 here, everything smooth as silk.
  4. Yes, but he said that FC3 would be out at "The same time" as the DCS World updates. The World updates are out, FC3 is not, ergo he lied. :P
  5. Guess what? FC3 isn't out yet. You lied.
  6. Jeebus, I hope the pilot was okay.
  7. True enough :)
  8. Well depends. You come in at whatever speed you need to get your approach AoA. If you need more braking power, than you need more braking power. Though normally, if doing a good approach, the speed will be bled off in the descent/turns, so speed brake usage should be at a minimum, but it is nothing to criticize people over if they need them to nail that AoA. After that, it is pretty normal to use speedbrakes and AoA to slow down, as aircraft brakes heat up and wear down easily, and you don't want to be using them at high speeds. Take a look at some mass landings when they land planes for major training sorties. You will see A-10's, F-15's, F-16's, F/A-18's, etc, come in with every speedbrake configuration imaginable.
  9. Yeah, that one is great. Some of these people can be really creative.
  10. Nice, VFAT is one of those things where the community always comes together and makes me smile. Sort of like the family on Christmas. For one day, they stop hating each other and enjoy life. :P

    Eye Candy

It's not out yet, people here like to joke.. A lot..
  12. What I am really hoping for is: "ED/TFC announces the new 'Nevada' terrain. And by 'Nevada' we mean it starts at W115 and goes east until it gets back to W115.". (Made possible with the help of that guitarist from U2.)
  13. When we see DCS: U.S. U.S. Fighter come out, it will be better than all of the FC3 aircraft, hands down. And the F-4 isn't even in service with the U.S. armed services anymore anyways. better than epp-lulz
  14. Q: Will the F-15C show up on the TAD of an A-10C?
  15. Depends on your definition of solution. I'd love to have a DCS: F-15C, but I don't think that this is in the cards (for now at the least.).
  16. I only know of a few people who can stay at 9G's for an extended period of time. These people are absolute freaks. IIRC the USAF testing standard is a 6G sustained, and a 6G check six, where you must be able to looks behind you while under a six G turn. There is also a 9G spurt, but this is not a 9G sustained, and no pilot is expected to be able to stay at 9G's for very long without blacking out. Nope, all you have to do is to get LEAVU to work with FC3 :)
  17. Awesome, is that an Su-25UTG in the background of the first shot?
  18. Helios is a general display tech for exporting stuff from the game. You can touch them, or not, doesn't really matter.
  19. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815 Try this, or go get Helios.
  20. What's that saying about ducks in a barrel? :D
  21. I think it is obvious that ED has their own priorities, and those may or may not line up exactly with some of ours. What they consider to be major, some of us may not. Seeing as how they are the devs though, and have their timetable, the most we can do is report the bugs that we DO find, and hope that the fixes make it into the next release. Though there is only so much that can be accomplished with limited resources. This is basic economics, whether it be for a major multi-billion dollar company, or our Eagle Dynamics (I have no idea how much ED makes. They could all be trillionaires for all I know. I am just making unfounded estimates.). Edit: I just had an image of a bunch of Saudi Sheiks living in Russia, working on flight sims in an office, whilst wearing expensive garments and garnering the attention of many beautiful girls.
  22. Yeah, they do seem to be the ADHD redheaded stepchild here. :D So many projects, so little time. **Disclaimer**: I kid, I kid, keep up the good work, and remember, quality is not a compromise! (Or rather, it is, but you know what I mean :P) P.S.
  23. There is no need for a terrain SDK. Nevada itself was not an ED project until they adopted it after the people making it stopped. It is entirely possible to create new terrain for DCS using current tools, however not many people have attempted to undertake this challenge. Also, we currently have no idea where Nevada stands on ED's development queue. I would guess that it is pretty low at any rate, because I recall the entire project being shelved for the better part of a year before just recently being revived. So in all reality, work on Nevada has only really lasted a little over a year  (As an ED project. I realize that as a whole, the Nevada project has lasted for a lot longer than that, but since it was redone from scratch since beta by ED, well..)
  24. Why make a longer video when FC3 will be released here in the next few days/weeks/months/years/decades/centuries/millenia/eons?
  25. Check the radar screen, says Su-25 right there, though the low resolution does kind of make it hard to pick out.
