OK - i get that the Mig has a gyro sight - and I know how to use such sights to great effect as I fly the P51 quite successfully with one. i am confused; however, at how to properly employ the gryo on the mig15 if the different calibre sizes vary with the guns... At what sight distance are your MG and cannon converging in this mig15? if I run out of MG and only have cannon left, does my sight compensate for the heavier round and higher "lob"/round arc?

i seem to have isolated a module launching issue with 1.6.6.2 but only when the dynamic kneeboard has been created. When Kneedboard builder creates the Kneeboard data folder in the Saved gamed Data directory, I am no longer able to launch into a module. In single player, it will load the ground objects, and then hang on "Please wait" with the loading bar at about 33% In MP - I will hit fly and the game will just hang. If i delete the kneeboard data folder and do not re-build the dynamic kneeboard feature, the launch issue is resolved. building individual or default boards do not affect the launching - only the dynamic one. No other mods are installed

very cool xcom - thanks for the reply... Congratulations on BlueFlag - that is a pretty epic step forward for the community. Your group deserves some applause for that. Well done! hey all! This thread has been a great help as DoW explores some options to bring stats into our server... I am using a combination of both xcom and Crash_Horror's phython script, but am noticing that the weapons are being recognized in our reporting... it comes back as "No Weapon" for both category and type. In particular - we are seeing this with the guns for client p51/fw190 and fw190 bombs. is this a known bug? As per the title. I have been successful connecting and flying planes all morning... I flew on the Blueflag mission with 373rd and left after being shot down. Ping was 189. After leaving the mission, I tried to join the 104th, 51st, TAW and even our own DoW server and can no longer spawn an aircraft. I can connect to a server, get the the selection screen, select an aircraft and click "Fly". Unfortunately, Once I click "Fly" the game just hangs for a REALLY long time until it kicks me back to the server list with a "Connection Interrupted". This happens in BOTH Single player and Multiplayer. When in single player i can get to the splash screen with the loading bar and it hangs at about 33% full on the blue bar. I do not use any mods. I tried reboot. I tried DCS Repair. Nothing is working - If anyone has any ideas, I'd be open to trying them out.... I'm quite frustrated that this would happen right in the middle of a gaming session where I have introduced no changes.... Thanks for the help.

You sure grimes? . I used to have a schedule from fc3 days whereby I could locate trains with my ka50 and practice landing on them....

Oh Wow... Thank you so much for the expanded work you have done on Geloxo's original concept! Collaborative efforts like this really do bring the game to the next level and are deeply appreciated by non-coding mission builders like myself. Thank you. I just read all pages of this thread and the post above stopped me dead in my tracks... IF paratroopers could be simulated in any reasonable fashion, it would certainly offer a new level of gameplay across all modules of the DCS platform. I have been begging for this for some time now: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94320&highlight=paratroopers I am certainly bookmarking this thread in the hopes something like this might come to fruition ... the gameplay options for the DoW WWII server would certianly expand! :thumbup: -

try starting it with your throttle all the way back - dont put it forward at all... also is your mixture knob back up to the cutoff position>

yeah - i gotta side with joey on this one... i find gameplay in the ka50 really shoots through the roof when you are flying with a couple other ka50 guys and leveraging the bejeezuz out of your datalink and abris. fighting in the ka50 tends to have the largest pucker factor for me. those manpads make the mission tense.

it was announced in the twitch feed i think... 1.5 is interim release to get edge out the door without nevada. not sure on when nevada is scheduled so I wont guess on that front as I did not watch the twitch.

when i get a kill with a R73 its because the enemy doesnt know I'm there... if they are flaring then they are obviously highly aware of your missile. I'm thinking this might be an issue of approach as opposed to launch procedure. How do you approach your enemy? Are you using radar to lock?

Yeah - I agree... I have often wondered why some enterprising group simply does not package 4 classic AI airframes together for sale - sell the B24/B29/He111/Ju88 as AI only with decent models, a few skins and simple flight modelling. The key is to ensure they are AI that follow reasonable ROE and present the bomb drops, formation flying with gunner defense we all dream of. I cannot imagine that these would not be snapped up enthusiastically by the prop guys like myself. To have a full fidelity He111 or B29 would be a dream though. I used to fly as a bomberdier for 2+ hours in WWII Online from Vlissigen all the way to England for Factory attacks.... those days were certainly never boring... I can't imagine how fun they would be with complex management to pass the time. Great post - welcome to DCS forums! -
put your ka50 into route mode and hit Cntrl Z to time accelerate... alt Z brings you back to normal.
