Can you implement feature that if client connection drops or quits, his flight/unit is preserved on server as AI RANDOM, allowing for client to reconnect and rejoin back into the same seat and players who are actively interacting with that particular unit (i.e. engaging, can still score their kill)?
Can you expand in mission editor the option upon selection of CLIENT, that if aircraft unit is not occupied by live client, is replaced by AI skilled RANDOM? For example add it as skill: "CLIENT&RANDOM AI".
Currently on 1.5.0 we have plentiful of disconnects and drops, crashes. Very unforgiving experience to have DCS client crash or loose connection to server (drop), but with ability for client's to re-join mid flight is something I hope for and need to see on servers. Implementing above request shouldn't be too hard knowing in offline flights we can already jump between AI hot-seats.
