Dear mission builders, we are seeking for three new members to join our 51 PVO family (http://www.51st.org) as Controllers to be available for these roles: Primary task: GCI / ATC / AWACS / Scenario Creating, "Game Master" and game server admin; Sec task: AFAC/JTAC, SAM, Ground & Air Commander; Optional task: Ka-50 pilot (AFAC/RECON), L-39, Su-27 skills are optional Requirements: Applicant must have Combined Arms installed, actively participate in squadron life, be very proficient with DCSW Mission Editor, show presence during bare minimum of squadron training during first two years (details on interview).   5. It shall be actually 8 years this year December, http://www.51st.org/results.html since inception. Frostie said it, none of these wins can be credited to EOS equipment or terrain hugging. It is worth noting Su-27 FM just as F-15C FM has been changing over these 8 years from patch to patch, including missiles physics behavior and sensor behavior, and we have always felt on disadvantage against F-15C performance pilots.
  6. Nope, that must be ground speed. So is in the mission editor when you edit way points, always been so, since Flanker 1.0
  7. All AI aircraft are abnormally pitching up to maintain level flight. Almost in all missions. Edit: Is there a way to read their airspeed in external views?
  8. I have experienced these issues, also with Dead Space. Blame only lazy developers and lazy console ports. I use dedicated rig for flight simming, so there is no interference from other software. For playing mediocre console ports I use my older PC rig, that runs all games just fine.

Can you implement feature that if client connection drops or quits, his flight/unit is preserved on server as AI RANDOM, allowing for client to reconnect and rejoin back into the same seat and players who are actively interacting with that particular unit (i.e. engaging, can still score their kill)? Can you expand in mission editor the option upon selection of CLIENT, that if aircraft unit is not occupied by live client, is replaced by AI skilled RANDOM? For example add it as skill: "CLIENT&RANDOM AI". Currently on 1.5.0 we have plentiful of disconnects and drops, crashes. Very unforgiving experience to have DCS client crash or loose connection to server (drop), but with ability for client's to re-join mid flight is something I hope for and need to see on servers. Implementing above request shouldn't be too hard knowing in offline flights we can already jump between AI hot-seats.

  14. Dude, I think you do not understand optics and FOV. It has nothing to do with addon development. It is just caused by the set-up being used by end-user.

  16. Hi. No I have not saved my track file, I am sorry. I forgot single player tracks must be saved manually. There was no engine damage or fire. Both engines were working fine. This happened on default single player mission. Will try to replicate it at some point hopefully.
  17. I have been hit my SHORAD and then unexplained thick black smoke from my wing all the way to base... but no fire.

  19. +1 but let it be optionable to keep backwards compatibility with pre 1.5.x missions therefore Ed must give us an extra option there PLAYER CLIENT AI (SKILL) CLIENT/AI (SKILL)
  20. AI takes position at the end of runway, taxing into active end of runway according to current wind (wind from SW) conditions. Lines up nose towards the closest end of runway instead and makes take off run on grass, crashing horribly into near marker. Maykop, Su-27, static weather wind, happens every-time.

  23. They feel right to me, knowing their quite heavy mass due to armor they carry, drifting at high speeds which is cool and terrifying. Pity we can't flip tracks up by careless speeding like on the video posted above.
  24. Congratulations Ed, again, been since demo version of Su-27 Flanker, -1.0 ! 1995 ! I remember the biggest thing in community back then was release of 1.5 ! Years later, same event was upon receiving Flanker 2.5 ! Now another .5 premiere is coming, this will be big !
