I knew after the first ten minutes it was going to end scoreless and I think that bodes well for the Spanish. They played a much more defensive game which if they do end up playing against Germany in the finals is a skill they're going to need.

Man of the tournament Arshavin; What a game .. had everything even an almost red card :P .. Russia's BVR tactics didn't work in the beginning but as soon as they got in close the Helmet system did the trick .. that cross by Arshavin was unbelievable. Great game!!:thumbup::thumbup: .. could have been more like 6:1 to Russia.

Sorry to hear about your Mom Deadman, take your time and update us when you can or feel the need. When your parents get ill it can really drain every bit of energy you have. All the best to you, your Mom and the rest of your family.

Just a thought .. Turkey did great in the penalty shoot out and if it goes to penalties against the Germans then they're gonna need the same belief because the German team hasn't missed a penalty since the late 1960s or 70's .. something rediculas like that :shocking:.

I like penalty shoot outs :D but I could tell Croatia were spent and they had nothing left to give. I felt bad for them becasue they were attacking more than Turkey through out the game but Turkey's strategy of only coming forward in the last 15 mins worked. I don't know what they are going to do against the Germans seeing as most of their good plays will be on the bench but if any team can win with so much stacked against them it's Turkey. Good luck to them for the semi's :thumbup::thumbup: .

I sobered up enough to post.:D Oh man am I disappointed.. I kind of felt it was gonna go Germany's way tho but I was still hopping the beautiful game would succeed in the end. And the more beers I drank the more I believed it. Unfortunately it wasn't the case and even though I think a few of the ref's decisions were completely up his own arse Germany would have still won. :D Congrats to Germany and to all Germans :thumbup: .

Russia displayed some of the best team play in the tournament so far.. too bad for Sweden though but at least it was an entertaining match.

What a disaster for the French, everything went wrong for them. One of their best players gets injured then a penalty and a red card puts them one goal and one man down. IMO it wasn't a penalty but until cameras are put in place I really cant complain becasue it could go either way, but the game could have been so much better. I mean if you don't count penalties Italy never broke through Frances defense even though they were a man down. And what was Toni doing LOL. But that's typical of the Italian's .. never write them off even when the fat lady starts singing becasue they aways seem to find away. Congrats to the Dutch for not holding back one bit. They could have made their life a lot easier by turning their game into a kick about but two great goals means they are on a charge, if they go through and win the whole thing it would be well deserved.

Crazy thing is that if Romania beat the Dutch, which just might happen, then both football super powers, France and Italy, are out. :cry:.

Maybe but when you see the normally over animated Scolari smiling 2-0 down in overtime I can't help but feel the loss will only benefit Portugal in subsequent matches. Hopefully the team he played wont want to loose again and with Decco, CR etc they will score more than they let in.. I dont know about you but I'm gonna buy a Portuguese flag lol :)

A night of justice: Switzerland's coach's last game ever and with his wife in comma he gets a win against Scolari. Although another shitty penalty. Then Turkey produced one of the best games of the tournament.. I'm just a little pissed off that I had to wear out my "back" button on my remote to watch both games. I agree even though Portugal didn't play their best team.
