Why does it take us in the west so long to say "it aint harmful to kids"?. :dunno: I mean load game, have a look around .. no violence, no swearing, no nudity unfortunately ;) . .. I bet if they got their finger out they could knock it out in a couple of hours. :noexpression:. -
As for printing you could do what I do and buy cheap cartridges off of ebay. I got a ton of ink for a great price and when the manual comes out I'll just print it up on some heavy weight paper, which I also got for a great price :) but not from the bay ;). The ink I got is crap for gloss photo paper but it prints documents like a dream and is real cheap.. so check out ebay and see if you can find a good deal.

OK I've been looking into this for about an hour and I don't think it actually matters if you run wide screen or not. The image should stretch automatically, I don't think the mainscreen.dds file ever change it's resolution from 1024x1024 to anything else.. although I could be wrong because my attempts to insert the widescreen ratio into my graphics.cfg file just caused LO to not load. But I still don't think the res of the main dds file would have changed so: My advice here is try the Main Screens I've made and see if they work even if you have a widescreen resolution. Just in case I'm wrong, which is completely possible, then anyone running Lockon on a widescreen please send me your main-screen.dds file found here: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\FUI\Common Thank you.

I had probs installing it via Modman but I'll get back to you later in greater detail via PM's .. Minor problem. Looks great so far, luving the JAWS skins :thumbup::thumbup: .

Thanks SuperKungFu :). It looks good Super you should release it.:thumbup: . I wouldn't worry about the text not being as clear to read as if you used a darker image. I'm sure that's the case with some of the ones I've released but people know what it says and the text intrudes so much that the choice of images would be significantly reduced if you chose images on the bases of the legibility of the text, so I say "text?.. we don't need no stinking text". ;)

That's correct but for wide screen settings I'm not sure if it will work like that for the main screen image.

After you shoot your first shot start loosing altitude while turning away from the bandit but don't panic and start diving or turning too aggressively, at this point you don't need anything greater than a 4G turn. When to shoot is tricky, it depends on the mission and altitude of the engagement. But usually if I'm getting jammed then I'll burn through before I shoot and then turn in a little later and shoot again so my second shot is a look up situation. You want to time your shots and position yourself so the target is always defensive and can't shoot back at you. As for which one to engage, if it's a 2v2 situation, then you should always engage the bandit that's gunning for you. After you set your wingy to pincer watch the hud and you'll see either the Matrix split or the targets move apart if they're not jamming and then lock the one going for your wingy and hit the engage my target button "[", then lock the target gunning for you and head in for the engagement. -
@ shamandgg: Thanks. No matter how much I upped the resolution in game the .dds file was the same so hopefully it should look OK. @Innerloop: good work. I plan on doing a navy main image screen as well but with no flag ;). Too many people from different countries so it wont be relevant to all users. However I toyed with the logo, similar to you, and was going add this but it just distracts from the main image too much, although my navy screens will have the "M" master class wings but on the side not in the image itself.

Any MOD that sounds realistic would be welcomed, but I would stay clear of grandiose fantastic B movie type sound effects. Their are some videos around where you can clearly hear missile launching from inside the cockpit but I'd assume that all aircraft/missiles sound different and I don't think that's possible in LO ... so; "I want something that I think is right and sounds fitting but not necessarily correct, but feels right." is good target to aim for. :thumbup:

Shoot high and then get below your target. If you shoot about 2 or 3K meters above AI then F-pole left/right and nose down while keeping an eye on your targets altitude which is displayed on your HUD then you can get rmax kills quite regularly aginst AI. 2K meters below him shoot do the trick. -

I don't have your joystick but here's the settings I use: Pitch: ===== Sift: 5.5 D-Zone: 0 Curv: 3.5 Roll ===== Sift: 5 D-Zone: 0 Curv: 3.5 I also increase the deadzone on my joystick for pitch only and this gives me a much more controllable plane.

One or two in one pass is probably the most effective and realistic way to use a ground attack aircraft. In a sim it's easy to get caught up in the "how many can I destroy" mentality but in reality, with all the unseen ground threats, the idea is to strike fast and escape. If you need a second run then choose another route, if possible, and run in for another go at the target. Although I understand this is a sim and its fun to blow stuff up and that's what 4 FAB 100's are for ;) -
