Once you start creating CDDS files you wont even need to use Modman to install skins anymore. I have all my textures ready to be converted and when a new Texture, like the one in this thread, comes out I just create a new CDDS file and overwrite the old one...Takes about 30 seconds if that.

Great Job on the skins . I recently upgraded from a GF3 .. hehe so I know how it goes. I use to bump up the AA for screens but I could never really play with AA on at all. Keep up the good work! :thumbup:

Awesome skin :thumbup: Great Job :D . I think =FV=MAD, made the Numbers and markings. I just checked and they seem identical to his 2048 Marks and numbers mod except yours looks a little lighter in color; http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=18688&highlight=FV+marks%26amp%3Bnumbers I'm using his 1024 markings because they look less plastic but I'll give yours a try and see. I have actually made a cdds file using =FV=MAD NORMERA.TGA and Deadman's NORMERA upgrade files; http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=123&lid=602&title=NOMERA%20UPGRADES#dldetails Also I added your Blue 51 skin and SOPLA-F.bmp to my Su25 CDDS file and the result was a zero drop in FPS from the default skins (From 27mb to just 6mb).

The Mi24 rocket attacks happen with in the first 2 minutes of the video but the Su33 fires rockets 4 mins 44secs in. Check out the hud you can see its the same thing we get in LO while flying the Su33/27. Maybe the sim can also be used for Su27 training as well..

The way I understand it is that the Su33 inherited its avionics from the Su27 but the A2G capability was never developed because the Su33 is seen strictly as a fleet defender. In LO you can use the Su33 for A2G work but IRL I don't even think the wiring exists to drop a dumb bomb. If that's the case then why would the sim be set up for rocket attacks..? Although I could be wrong and the Su33 is more capable to strike ground targets than I originally thought.

Nice Vid! One question though; why was the Su33 pilot practicing A2G rocket attacks when Su33 is only set up for A2A. Isn't it?

With "All Planar" shadows everything except trees has shadows e.g. buildings, vehicles, aircraft etc and it looks great when flying A2G missions. However with shadows set to "Full" then you can also see shadows from your own aircraft and weapons being cast on other objects. This really does look good while looking around in cockpit even though the shadows have jagged edges. Here you can see a shadow of the wing on the missiles and a shadow of the missile on the fuel tanks.

You can see the wings flexing on fighters, check out this video; . The cool thing about this feature would be the fact that you could actually see, from inside the cockpit, the aircraft reacting to the stresses being placed upon it. Although as I said its probably not possible in lockon but hopefully it will be in ED’s next sim.

I guess I’ll have to use an older driver or just live with out full shadows :surrender: . I usually like to keep up to date seeing as I also play FS9, PFM and occasionally Americas Army. .. I doubt I’d see a loss in performance in any of those games even if I used a slightly older driver but what pain in the ass .. :crazy: Thx All. :thumbup:

Ah Thx for the info.. looks like full shadows is a no go area until this is fixed .. oh well no big deal.

Hi, :v: When ever I set shadows to full I get a dark skin appearance when viewing an aircraft in F2 view. The pic below demonstrates this at its most extreme, which is when I have over cast clouds set but even if it’s clear the skin still takes on a slightly darker color. Anyone ever heard of this or know of a solution? Thx for any info. Specs; AMD 3GHz / 1GB ram / NVIDIA 7600GT.

This is quickly becoming the “Wonderland debate” .. with no end to the rabbit hole ;) If its realistic then put it in... Although I always thought that the Su27/33 was incapable of carrying more than two.. So where’s the info to suggest they can be mounted on more than the two pylons in the game?

I never knew having more ET’s was even a debate. If in real life the 27/33’s are capable of carrying ET’s on other pylons then so be it but I use the term capable loosely. I.e. not theoretically capable but actually capable and it is something you can expect IRL.

Great Job:thumbup: That’s great news .. so we wont just get covered by our chutes when we eject and land on the ground :) Ooh finally an ejection sequence from the Ka50 thx a lot for that I have been wanting to see how that would work for ages.. One request for your next video; how about a few in-cockpit scenes of the Ka50 as well. :) -
