Nice! Still waiting for it to hit Steam.
-
Mayyyyybe a chance today now that the Steam sale is over. I've got no problem pointing and clicking a pre-order. I'm not even a Phantom fan, but this thing looks too cool to pass up.

Dual factor authentication for free trials?
Beirut replied to Beirut's topic in Forum and Site Issues
WinAuth works off your PC and is pretty painless. Even I figured it out. -
An unwashed mechanic with an ever-present rag in this hands telling us what incompetent boobs we are for damaging HIS aircraft with our kindergarten flight skills.

Phantoms Phorever. PRE-ORDER & REVEAL Trailer
Beirut replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
And the Steam-heads wait as always... Oh the pain, the sweet, sweet pain. -
@dburne Oh man, I just read your post and while I can't understand your pain, I can understand the pain of those who love you all to well. We're not supposed to talk about religion too much, but I am a religious man and I will ask for a blessing for you and those around you. And I hope you find some peace of mind in the devotion of friendship and love you've had and still have around you, and that you have had for others. That is the truest part of life as you so well know. Please check in as often as possible.

Sweet! Thanks.

Two-weeks? I'm also waiting for it on Steam. I guess they want to get as many sales from their own site as possible and then hand it out to ED and Steam. -

This many. Accurate to within two bananas. -
You just need one, a nice RCAF livery.

Setting up the controls in MSFS is a hot mess! I can't stand it. And so it sits there mostly unused. DCS, on the other hand, is so straightforward with control settings. It's lovely. There are lots of things I have yet to figure out in DCS, but I never feel like the sim is fighting against me.

I'll have to watch some of those and actually pay attention this time. Thanks. Ralfidude's A-10 for Dummies series was insanely good, I thought maybe someone had something like that going.

Hello, Any suggestions for video tutorials - a series perhaps - for the Apache that treats the viewer as a mindless boob who can't tie his own shoes? Because that's what I need. I'd like to learn (some of) the systems but I am overwhelmed by the complexity. Thank you.

Happiness is the art of the possible, my respected friend. Maybe I'm just easy to please, but I'm having a good time flying around and sometimes blowing the living **** out of things. I often just fly for the fun of it because I like flying and the sim looks nice and the jets - and the ka-50 of course - are really cool. The other flightsims leave me cold. DCS is just more fun and feels better. I think you are much more of a hard core flyer than me. I'm more in the sandbox just farting around, so I probably don't have t deal with the issues you do.

The Ka-50 is simply the greatest chopper in DCS, but I digress. I enjoy the Mi-8 more than the Huey, but both have that "pure chopper" feeling to them.
-
The ability to choose any Bond girl as your WSO. Smoking and drinking animations in the cockpit. Chat GPT in-game so you can have really heated arguments with the AI aircraft.
-
Thanks for the quick response. But now I feel bad because I haven't purchased the campaign (yet). I was saying I like the looks of it from the descriptions I've read and because I really like the Ka-50. And developer/creator interaction with the community is always a big plus and I appreciate that.
-
I like the looks of this. Might not be the right place to ask, but can the missions in this campaign be flown in any order or do you have to go 1 to 2 to 3,etc? Also, can missions be edited? I've never bought a DCS campaign so I'm not sure how they work. Thank you.

I haven't seen any improvements with DLSS but I'm just loving the look of the sim. Crisp and clean and delicious! I'll have to keep watching more videos about DLSS I guess.
-
I was just farting around in the NTTR map and I like crispy eye candy. This is one smart looking flightsim. Need more info on how everything works and where the sweet spot can be found, but it definitely looks good.

Done what I had to do, making coffee, and about to try the Strike Eagle with this lovely new update. Sweet!
-
I'm a bit weak on my DLSS tech. Is it simply on or off or can you have a percentage and find a balance between performance and graphics?
-
One thing about Steam, you get the speed right away.

I got an error on my stand-alone-for-free-trials install, something about a Nimitz texture cyclic redundancy or something, and the update failed, but I'm sure it's my fault. I'll try again later and just keep updating my main Steam install. That one is happily plowing away at 7.4 MB/s. Fine with me.
