  1. I am super enthusiastic about the CH-47. Easy Top 3 of any of the upcoming modules. But I need some feel-good from the powers that be first.
  2. Sweet! I am seriously hot and bothered for this chopper. But I share Rudel's concerns, and will wait.
  3. I hope it's coming soon. Been nothing new since June of 2023. Longest dry spell I've seen with DCS. I hope Kola or the Phantom coming out doesn't push the other back by months just for the sake of separating product releases.
  4. Just hope ORBX doesn't get into the "coming soon" thing where it means sometime between two-weeks and when your grandchildren retire.
  5. On one hand they have no experience with DCS, but on the other hand they've been making terrain for a long time and in great quantity. I'm feeling positive about it.
  6. He showed three-years of charts, all too small to see properly. Brilliant.
  7. Now THAT is an update! May need a new SSD.
  8. I'm on Steam and my pilot needs an exorcism. His head is a' shaking. Doesn't bother me, but I guess a bug is a bug.
  9. Makes me think of my pre-DCS days, flying another sim but taking a look at the DCS forums from time to time, and seeing change logs 100 lines long with things like: Fixed - AIM-7 sub vector paint micrometer bearings Fixed - AIM-7 partial fin delayed reaction cooling Fixed - AIM 7 weekly gyro update crew tangent above Mach 1 ...and I'm thinking WTF! is all this? Now it all makes sense.
  10. Fixed the flashlight in the Yak-52. I'll take that as a win.
  11. Speed, height, distance. Even with A2G those are beautiful things. (But still love me some A-10) And those funky long range A2G weapons and radar targeting, you get your Space Shuttle of Death jive going on.
  12. I just got it and I find it very hard to get used to. Old dogs, new tricks, and all that.
  13. That's one of the best things about DCS: a great in-game easy to use mission editor. In my years of DCS, 99.99% of my flights have been through the mission editor. Every flight is my flight. It's the only way I want to fly.
  14. Thanks! For some odd reason, the key I binded (is that a word?) for centering keeps unbinding itself. Don't know why. Not a big deal, but odd.
  15. Oof! Not easy getting used to head tracking. Going to take a while to get the settings right. It's either too wild or too tame. Not to mention sitting in the same position. Hard to change 25 years of flightsim habits. But the eye tracking is wild. Hold your head still and just look to the left and there the camera goes. Pretty funky.
  16. Thank you for that. And it seems Amazon is delivering my webcam a day early so I get to try it out tonight.
  17. Reminds me of that cartoon from Pogo:
  18. Basically, if it's not "fulfilled by Amazon", I don't buy it. And Amazon has given me amazingly good customer service, so that's why I only buy what they stock. I've made hundreds of Amazon purchases over the years and only once did I order something from a third party; a PC part coming from a big in-country store with a good rep.
  19. Some some odd reason my Harrier can still carry 3xMk83s on the inner pylons. That was supposed to be removed years ago but I can still do it. So I'm keeping my Harrier.
  20. Glad to hear you like it. Just ordered a webcam, should be here Sunday, and I'll be trying out the Beam Tracker demo. Looking forward to some of that 6DoF goodness. I had a $10 head tracking app from Google Play, worked off my phone, but it was too jumpy, didn't use it much at all. But the A-10C cockpit at night was gorgeous to look at with that thing.
  21. Going from 1TB to 4TB isn't nickels and dimes. That's an actual dollar or two. I can still fit Afghanistan and one more map on my DCS-dedicated 1TB m.2, then I'll have to get a 2TB.
  22. Perhaps it's an unwarranted concern - perhaps not - but I would like a guarantee that none of my bought & paid for RazBam modules will be deleted from the game. We're in an age where we buy things but don't own things, we just kind of rent them and we're subject to all manner of decision making beyond our control.
