Op Hammer on our server is an 'active FMB'

Uh.............D'oh! Always keep your target area to your right! in other words have left wing dipped AWAY from the Target location, not ontop of it.

Left wing dipped gives the TGP pod a better FOV to the target location and is less hindered by the fuselage of the aircraft. The only thing that gets inside it's FOV with the left wing dipped and 45 degrees are the AIM 9x's, but clearly that all depends on a couple of factors. Distance to Tgt and Your ANCHORED altitude. It can also be mounted on the left wing true, but default setup in the sim is right wing. In RL, there 'may' be real reasons for it mounted where it is and no where else. As for belly landings, well, IMHO, i don't buy it. There's no such thing as a 'mission essential' piece of equipment, no matter how much, that comes above a soldier, let alone a combat pilot. If it would be better used underneath, then i see no reason why it souldn't be mounted there apart from an extra fuel pod. Liklihood of belly landing by pilot versus the increased use and flexibility of the TGP pod being underneath = (for me), a no brainer. Snoopy? 'T'

IMHO the TGP is poorly situated on the A-10C. I'm wondering why it's not on the very outer pylon on the left / right wing or even directly underneath the aircraft? PaulKrill, over to you. ;-) 'T' PS: OP, our sop in the 74th is to always ANCHOR with Left wing dipped to aid TGP

Hi Griff, long time mate. AFM Wrong? Well, it's not a 'real' heli is it, but other than that........as close as you're gonna get for a contra rotating co-axial Helicopter. Listen, who in their right mind thinks that Apache Air Assault is an accurate depiction of the AH64-D with regards to Flight charecteristics in it's AFM / SFM format? Answer: Ed Macey does. Pop on my TS sometime, lets catchup now that you're about a bit more. Regards ole pal 'T'

Very Very nice. Dunno about the spinning light beinmg actually useable but it is certainly a far better model than some of the lights used at some of the airfields IMHO. +1

Nice pics Eddie, well done ole boy! -
Good Job! I was only talking about this last night when i was asked if ED would model the CBU 97/105 correctly. 'Nah, i said'............................ ;-)

or change your snapview.lua file line #-13 Open up config.lua to see what the corresponding aircraft number is, i think it's 11 for the A-10C. Now open up snapview.lua, scroll all the way down to 11-13 viewangle. change it. jump in cockpit and hit enter on num keyboard. 'T'

1. - Wait and see. 2. - In theory the next patch would be 1.1.0.3 for DCS BS, 1.1.0.10 for the A-10C series, so again, you'll have to wait and see. IMHO, the mods will be fine. Intimate Dir structure will remain the same. A clean install (following official advice) is ALWAYS better than a patch. 'T'

Nothing will come of the investigation Mustang, I assure you. This is a Master Server listing problem, not your server. You are among many whose server drops out for no reason quite frequently. Fact is, master server list does not work as it should, and never has done! We tried to investigate many different avenues when i was testing, but damn, couldn't find the fault. 'T'

Unbelieveable that we would allow such a personal slur, which none of my posts were. Prick. clear and simple! trivial, menial, crap, that to be frank makes me question the hours and hours a day i spend testing for such individuals. I'm taking it off these forums. quirk, or whatever your called, you come find me, anytime and discuss this further like an adult instead of the 6 yr old you are acting as, with endless drivvle in PM's.

Your welcome. you deserved it. I dis-approved of your comment. It was a blanket 'slur' to mission designers in general who dont use LUA scripting, Speeds scripts or anyone elses. KISS, and it wont break. simple. The most effective and 'FUN' missions (remember that? thats why we do this) are the ones that are fairly quick, simple to understand, usually with a limited aim and a clear main effort. You are insuating that the only 'excellent missions' available are the ones that use Speeds excellent script, which although it certainly is, isn't working right now. Hopefully, what has made speeds script broken, will be addessed in the next patch (the PRINT function), and those excellent missions that use the script will be back online for you and others to enjoy, but until then, take a look about and see the missions that are available on the various servers and for download at Lock On User Files: http://files.lockon.ru/en/ A lot of time and effort goes into making missions, as it seems only you are too familiar with, so try not brand every mission that doesn't use LUA scripting as anything other than 'excellent'. Fact is, most of them are. 'T'

As ever, and respectfully of course, we agree to dis-agree on this one. There are more FC2 servers than A-10C because it is legacy and in comparison, an arcade game. Alright, alright, that was low. ;-) 'T'

 soooo true! 'T'

Not happy - Time to wake up people! Inability for true PVP in the A-10C? FC2 pilots, get off your pedalstool, christ! "Wait until we get a fighter and masses of open servers will fill up and we'll all be pvpíng with one another happily laughing at the streak of metal plummeting toward the earth on fire" - Rubbish! I guarantee this will not be the case. People will actually want to 'learn' the high fidelity AFM nature of the next sim and all of the avionics of the aircraft. If anyone out there thinks that open servers and masses of people are going to appear over night all trying to shoot each other down with bags of "gaffaw gaffaw", they are likely to be dissapointed. This will take time. A lot of time. ED has scientists for God sake! I met one. YoYo. know what he said to me after i thanked him on behalf of all of you who love the DCS series, its fidelity, accuracy and AFM? "Thank you Tyger, that means a lot. the reason why i work 20 hr days 7 days a week is to ensure that scientifically, the product is as accurate as possible in every way, so that those people in the world who missed their calling, who will never fly a jet, be a jet pilot in combat or even be able to sit in one, can have as close as an experience as possible in their own home." And we want to ignore this? Jump in as soon as we can, fly bloody sideways, Muddle our way through an intense and complex avionics system to reach for 'Button 2' so that we can fire off BVR, fire n hope, calling all pockets? The DCS is a study sim. It started with the KA-50. It developed further with the A-10C. It will yet again, develop with the next model. Give it some respect before trying to make yourself feel better and somehow 'sim superior' by shooting down all the relative 'rookies' on an open server because you have 'legacy' knowledge of how a radar works in FC2, 1.12, 1, LOMAC! You might aswell go play HAWKX 2 Not true! Why not invest a little time in the manual and make some yourself! KISS. there is no need to use complex LUA scripting for mission immersion. All it takes is a either two things to design missions - 'Imagination' if no experience exists, 'Experience' if no imagination exists. We have 15 missions - Op Hammer Campaign (5 missions available to the public via Teamspeak) and 10 missions from Op Roundabout (currently only used by 74th Members for Trg value - ultimately these too will go into rotation) I'm not going to point toward the 74th server and repeat the same old same old, about locked servers, availability of passwords, how to get them etc. Bottom line - highlight the server in the server listing and actually READ the description. Guarantee you'll see Teamspeak info on most servers. A-10C does not mean there is no PvP and in 7 tours of Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, 2 of Iraq and 2 of Afghan, ive seen plenty of CAS from AH and fast air (thankfully not in Northern Ireland!), and in comparison there has been little of Air to Air engagements. what i have seen and been part of, in 24 years service in the Infantry, is very kinetic multi spacial combat co-operative operations. Now there's a thing!

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=75876 You need the SPI set on the Target for a LGB such as the GBU10/12 so that the laser from the pod is trained on the target location. 'T'
