All of the above advice is good, it's also very important to land absolutely level, the tyres are made from recycled crisp packets and will burst if one of the wheels touches before the other! In stark contrast the SU-27 almost lands itself!

An outstanding video clearly involving many, many hours of work. Spectacular cinematography! Obviously many people exhibiting the the negativity bias human trait. Lots of things to look forward to, keeping in mind this is DCS 2025 AND BEYOND... Good job ED!

I haven't commented on this topic so far, all I would say is that I am looking forward to the video purely from an aesthetic perspective, I enjoy DCS videos (be they mine or from others). There is nothing specific that I am on tenterhooks about because the content of these videos is not linked to any release date consequently they are merely hints of what may lie ahead.

Obviously VERY low down on the priority list but... Given that the pilot now mimics throttle / stick / head movements (all very cool) it would be great if he released the stick when taxiing! I say this purely from a YT content creator's perspective!

True, however if I download a mission designed for a MOD that I do not have (eg F-22) I receive a warning that the MOD is required but there is no corruption of the file.

However, if you try and load a mission (.miz) and you do not have the required module, it still loads and doesn't corrupt the file...

Indeed this is the problem - my bad for not reading the Required Mods in the DETAILS section. Many thanks!

As the title suggests. Several times importing a static template into an existing .miz file corrupts the file causing it to have 0 bytes, luckily the automatic backup system saves the day (thank you ED). Is this just me or is it more widespread?

Rename your MODS folder :\Users\xxxx\Saved Games\DCS\Mods to :\Users\xxxx\Saved Games\DCS\ModsOLD and try again.

The Russian FC aircraft have a HUD drop down filter, maybe some iteration of that could be used ( The new F-16 pilot model can raise and lower the visor despite there being no difference in the result)

On a similar note... Although I love the fog effect, for me it breaks immersion as the edges are constantly shimmering, any obvious solution? Shimmering fog.trk

By that you mean VR and 2D screens? As a RL (GA) pilot I can only comment on my own experience, which is that the view from the cockpit in a modern sim is similar to the view from a RL AC (in general), probably the biggest difference visually concerns that which @Richrach has said about seeing other aircraft. But to state that: " the world is full of real pilots who don’t seem to understand computer games." Is incredibly condescending.
