I now use the controllers all the time. I use the left controller almost exclusively to manipulate the mfd's and switches etc. I don't think I could do without it now. I use the Oculus touch.
A couple of things I would like to see them change is the sensitivity of the finger pointing touch so that when you go to press a button it doesn't do it loads of times and the option to turn off haptic feedback.
I know the truth can be a tough pill to swallow but on this occasion my friend you are gonna have to take it like a man.
No, the black MIG-28 did not exist. Sorry.
:)
I agree with you about Raven.
One book that isn't on the shelf as I am reading it at the moment is "Fast Movers" by John Darrell. A really good book about pilots in Vietnam.
Vipers in the Storm is superb and I have read that many times.
It is good. I have that along with the F/A-18 one. At first I thought they were going to be a bit gimmicky but in fact are insisghtfull and very interesting. I should have expanded the photo they are just to the left on an other shelf.
I haven't read that no but I will check it out, thanks.
I got Shaw's Fighter Combat from eBay a few years ago now. I also have the PDF.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I have a small collection of books on the subject of combat aviation but not much about the Tomcat. Can anyone recommend any good books to read about the F-14?
I read about this on a different forum. The number of grown ass men exploding with rage at the unrealistic prospect of this happening and then having it in the movie Top Gun 2 was extremely funny.
I'm sure Top Gun wasn't based on accuracy and facts?
Nailed it. Snakeyes are exactly that. You would also have multiple aircraft employing the weapon. The tactic of flying low and fast does not give rise to precision accuracy.
