  1. I am loving these JDAMS. Dropping them through the thick cloud in fairly strong winds with 4 bombs on separate targets, across an airfield, in one pass.................is superb! Wag's tutorials were fine.
  2. Hornet. Incredible module followed closely by the Tomcat.
  3. Superb! I was an RAF brat based at Laarbruch in West Germany from 82-86. I would see Tornados flying around every day. Brilliant times.
  4. I get plenty of 38’s and sometimes the odd 0 associated with an explosion somewhere near the ramp coincidentally.: I hear you Bankler. Makes sense.
  5. Tornado. Ja please.
  6. I usually get 47 to 50 points. To me, this seems like a low score. I am not complaining or have an axe to grind I'm just not sure if this what most people get or am I below average etc. Would really like some data to compare. I understand it will be hard to get that sort of data when some ppl might be using a different version of the mission etc. In the future, I think it would be great to have an online leaderboard/ League table to see where you fit in. I understand they do this in real life.
  7. Most/all ppl who join servers for this sort of challenge won't do that. You seem to be over thinking it a bit.
  8. That's brilliant. Many thanks.
  9. Great stuff. Many thanks!
  10. Most of us don’t fly online. But I do agree an option for you guys would be welcome.
  11.
  12. Oh, how the other half lives. Suck it up cupcake!
  13. Get your calculator out bud
  14. Superb! Thanks, Wags.
  15. I am really looking forward to this. Will the radio comms include the tower giving us the correct reciprocal heading for the downwind leg on a typical case 1 recovery with reference to the carriers BRC? I understand that this is what happens in real life when entering the Marshall stack or cleared for the initial? I know it's a bit early to ask but.....
  16. Yep, I was so impressed with the Viggen. If anyone is not sure about getting it make sure you have that module in your collection it is simply superb. The Tomcat is incredible. I am literally going to spend years flying this. Many have said it but the bar has been raised. Living my dream when I fly these things in VR.
  17. Can someone help with the BRC heading and what the reciprocal heading should be on the downwind part of the pattern? To me, it seems BRC is 353 so if I take 180 degrees off that the heading I should be flying on the downwind leg is 173 degrees. Have I got that right? I got this reply from Wags about the Improved carrier environment that is being released as a module soon which will be a big help with this stuff. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3880123#post3880123
  18. Can you imagine?
  19. Yep, well said. I didn't know that about Stanley Kubrick. Ha!
  20. Yeah, get stuck in right away. The deep end is where all the challenging stuff is and the rewards are so much better. You've obviously got a passion for the more technical and cerebral stuff so don't waste your time and get inside the pit you want.

It really is a lot of fun I agree. One of the best things I like about DCS is Case 1 Recovery. Lowering the flap at a much slower speed was key for me and I can now get on speed a lot easier than before thanks to the advice given in this thread.
  22. I was going to ask the same question. Thanks.

That made a lot of sense and it helped me immensely. Superb stuff. Thanks for taking the time to put that together. Much appreciated. I'm back doing it :)
