  1. Can anyone share what they thing are the best weather and time settings for great screenshots on the Nevada map. I have seen some that look stunning but I can't seem to find that sweet spot when I do it. I have to admit I'm just guessing early morning in the summer?
  2. Ah I missed that, thanks!
  3. Since 2.5 has come out I find I spend a lot of time waiting to go into the mission editor and then having to wait a long time if I choose a mission on a different map. Would be great to pick the map in a drop down list prior to hitting mission editor on the splash screen thing. Hope that makes sense?
  4. Thanks for this post. It's been driving me nuts all day. I thought it was my gfx settings and have been fiddling with them for hours. Wish I came here first. Fek sake!
  5. Ok I got really close. Still no joy. I made a new mission and it all worked out OK. No idea what the problem was? Thanks for the tips.
  6. I am right in the rear of the aircraft when I send the request.
  7. Hi. I have a mission setup to practice refuelling with the KC130. I have easy communications on as advised after doing a search on the forum, the ready light is on I am in formation with the KC130 I do the usual "ready to refuel" etc I get into position and checklists done, cruise flaps, master arm off when I say "ready pre contact" the response is always "return pre contact" no matter what I do and the drogue doesn't come out. Can anyone help. On the plus side im great at flying formation now with the amount of time i have tried this :)
  8. I was genuinely blown away by how good the new map looks. I am looking forward to that more than the Hornet now. Don't get me wrong I'm getting that Hornet as soon as I can but man oh man I can't wait to fly a helicopter and all the other modules I have on that map. There was even talk of Combined Arms getting updated to integrate with it. So much good coming from DCS these days.
  9. Ha ha ha yep!! Some swearing and slurred abuse at forum members for asking dumb questions. I include myself in that list. Nice one.

    The HUD is superb.

Ha Ha! nice one. You won't regret it. :)
  11. The HUD is absolutely superb in VR and of course normal mode. It's the best rendition I have seen ever done. In fact, the cockpit really is wonderful to sit in. I can't describe what it is exactly but it feels right. The scale and size of objects are so well done. If you're on the edge of getting this module, get it. You won't be disappointed. It's going to be a classic. I've said my thanks for purchasing it but .......thanks!
  12. I purchased it last night and have been flying it in VR. It is a superb module to sit in and looks fantastic. Can't wait to get into the details.
  13. Cheers!
  14. I have a chair on wheels. So easy to just swing around a bit. Not really realistic if that's what you're aiming for but it works for me. I don't mind taking my feet off the pedals if I really have to check deep into the six. I physically lean and stretch my neck just as you would in a real pit. Looking at real pilots doing it in a cockpit it looks like quite an effort to do, and with all that g loading I would imagine it's quite a sweaty affair.
  15. Has anyone flown the above aircraft by Razbam in VR? If so is there any chance you could give some feedback on what it's like. Stuff like how large the cockpit feels. The A-10C blew me away with its roomy size. I'm going to get this once I have the funds but would like to get some thoughts on how good it is compared to other modules etc. If not no problem. :)
  16. It's a wonderful video ruined by the music after takeoff. Why do that?
  17. Get a VR headset. Game changer.
  18. F/A-18 Hornet Running the Jedi Transition! Star Wars Canyon!
  19. Great stuff. Really enjoyed that.
  20. The Spitfire and as others have said the helicopters. My all-time favorite is the Viggen though. Sitting in that cold war era cockpit is just superlative. Once you get past the bit where you think it's complicated you start to see the genius in the simplicity of it all. Just a great VR experience and a high-quality module. Really interesting reading others views on this.
  21. Nice one cheers! Great insight. One day there will be a head to head competition with all the Falcon 4.0 (BMS) Drivers against the F/A-18 DCS drivers and it will be good. :) I fall in both camps so I'm taking the Viggen getting the fu~# out of dodge low and fast.
  22. AH! Many thanks!!
  23. You should really have patience with the approach. Take your time and I mean really take your time to line up the descend real slow. At about 300ft have a quick peek to see where you are and then at about 30 feet just bail out and let it crash and burn. It's a simulator you can do this loads of times no problem.
